Thanks for your kind words and for subscribing to the channel. Typically a buck for pulling patterns and trial fitment in aluminum bodywork, is made out of heavy plywood, but once you have the buck built, your set in stone (or plywood). I use the plaster the way a design studio would use clay; it gives you the opportunity to add or subtract from your design. I don't see why you could not use the plaster model/buck in aluminum fabricating. I've not had the opportunity to do any real work (more like just mess around) on the English wheel, but would also like to have a go at an aluminum car. Hi, to have done this kind of work for years I’m 75 retired and one tip I might give to you is that all the clay is very nice for flanges. There is a foam comes in squares. It’s usually used for flower arrangements. It will not melt, win in the presence of styrene, it is easier to manipulate then I scuff it down or it might need shaping and the last step is to press aluminum tape over the face sort of like you would wrap it with aluminum tape. Ya, Porsche, Ferrari, Ford.....
@@thequietkiwi Ferrari doesn't have any talent, if it would Lamborghini wouldn't exist.
@@elvpse Lamborghini predates ferrari. They have been a manufacturer of tractors and other farm equipment for plus or minus a century. all the talent in the world is worth nothing until you have a burning desire to do your own thing. Once you have that burning desire, no amount of talent from anyone else will stop you from achieving your dream. But at least you got your name right.
Mind totally blown. I can't even begin to get my head around the number of skill sets you have!! Truly amazing 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This is an insane amount of work. Mad respect!
and i thought i was a good builder, i have definitely been humbled and taken down a peg or two,the patience and focus required to pull this off is mind boggling, not to mention near perfect repeated execution of the build.Hats off to you my friend.
You are probably a good builder and easily fooled by the magic of video editing. Ha! But thanks for the kind words! ;)
This field gave you that salt and pepper and with Gray hairs comes experience and now you can apply your experience to go to work
The result is this masterpiece.
What a beautiful work and video.
One of kinds. Thanks
Well, the children gave me the gray hair. Ha!
such a smart and talented guy, I've never seen someone like u in UA-cam... you're building your own car and I mean everything from the beginning to the end! that's insane...i always wished to meet someone like u... I'm excited to see the result of this creation.. love
Wow, I stumbled on to this: great job. I definitely don't have the tools or experience to do this but I appreciate it.
Buy a tool, hence cometh the experience! Thanks for watching.
It's all part of learning and you got to start some where

This guy is on another level. I can barely do a brake job.
I built a mid-engine fiberglass sports car from 1979-1983 using nearly the identical processes shown here in this video. The running/driving prototype is still in my garage. Other than the introduction of CAD and better synthetic finishing materials, it's amazing how little has changed in the past 40 years. Great work!! Thanks for sharing your processes on UA-cam!!
Got any pictures you can share? Instagram account? We would love to see.

Never seen such a neat, and clean fiberglass mold build. This guy knows what he’s doing!!
Doing? not so sure, but I do know I don't like sticky floors. Ha!
Incredible craftsmanship! I loved the whole video, but I could've watched this one just to see you custom-build those mufflers!

That's insane. How just a simple guy can buil an whole car from scratch. Respects!
This man put in more work building this car than all the work Ive ever done in my entire life.
But I'm likely older than you and so after I die you can pass me up. Ha! Get to work, today's the day!
@@BuilderCreator Thankyou Sir.
Wow, I am impressed. Each of your steps are logical and needed for a custom build like this. Most builders buy a kit, the body is already designed. To design, do clay model, etc. really separates you from rest of pack. I will want to watch this over time.
Very impressive range of skills, knowledge, design flair and well presented too! Thanks for sharing and for not having annoying music as well. good luck with the rest of the project.
Just one word to describe you and your piece of art “Amazing”
This is exactly what I have been tooling up for. I contacted Wheelers Builders to see what I needed and have been slowly purchasing welding equipment, (to start a mobile welding business), I found a 1900's lathe, a 70" sheet metal brake and I am looking for a milling machine among everything else I am going to need. You are so much further along. I am not trying to design my own car as of yet but now that I know it can be done I just might. You are truly a genius!! I am going to try and get you up to a million subs. You truly deserve it!!
Bring on the millions, I can take it. Ha! Get yourself a cheap little Chinese mill for drill and minor surfacing, but hold out for a larger CNC mill. A 3D printer is indispensable as well.
I can't say I've seen anything more impressive on UA-cam
Former Automotive Manufacturing Engineer here- wow, I've got yto see more of this.
i never thought i would see a tutorial like this on youtube! GOD THIS IS AMAZING!
this isnt a tutorial,its a quick demo
Hello sir, simply put. Spectacular work of art you have created! There are no words to describe your determination, will power, ethics, motivation and time that takes for what you've created. My respects to you. Cant wait to see it finalized.
this is the first time i saw a real build of your own car, congrats sir!
This guy is like the bob ross of the automotive world! So calming and step by step!
But without the fro! Ha! thanks for watching.
Takes a major car company, 5 years and a billion dollars. Hey auto industry, look at this guy.
Yeah but you have to do things differently when you are going to mass produce a car, there's also different regulations for a mass produced car.
@NoNoNiin, if you're ever in a car wreck, you'll owe your life to those "bullshit regulations".
This is so incredible! I wish I had the talent to do this!
Most of this kind of talent is hidden in all of us. Find a project that will drive your passion and make a go at it. I think you will be surprised the talent comes, shows and grows!
@@BuilderCreator Talented and humble favorite channel
@nezzly Doesn't matter, I am too..Go for it
Everyone is talented you just have to seek beyond what you think you can do
Yea I was gonna say just do it, then keep doing it, eventually you'll get good at it we all have that potential, I never went to school and look at my grammar!
I never went to school and you should see the cars I've built, perseverance my friend, I've never met anyone that couldn't do anything once they are truly committed....
Iv been wanting to do something like this since I was a child and hopefully I will manage to get around to it. Just life is busy. Beautiful work
Permission granted! Now you can just do it! Remember it doesn't' have to be all in one day or even a year.
@@BuilderCreator iv done similar things but not to that extent. Made panels for a car I had. I did it all outside my house. I have no garage. Naighbours hated me from dust from sanding. All the way to eventually painting it. But I was against the British weather also. If I get a garage or unit I will definitely be making something of my own design :)
It really takes a long patience to build a masterpiece of you're own,a craftsmanship of an electrician, mechanic, welder, molder, painter, sculpter, engineer, all molded into one man.a very long journey that it well take your vast knowledge to impart this kind of work.THANK YOU FOR showing us this kind of work we now know how difficult it is to build your own dream car
Thanks for following along. The long work is worth the effort when it can enrich others as well.
This guy is truly living one of my many dreams; what a great birthday gift to myself watching this video😁. When I was a kid there was a guy in my neighborhood building his own Lamborghini From foam sheets and fiberglass and while I never fantasize about that car I see why he went that route. I’m more of a Ford GT compound curve kinda guy and this is right up my alley. I immediately had to share this link, thank you for the inspiration. Frank.
Well, happy birthday Frank! and thanks for watching/sharing!
Thank you for sharing such a great project. I have learned so much from watching this video. Straight on to part two! Subscribed :)
Now this is how you "build" a car. man even built his own muffler.
Well done! Your work is super inspiring. I'll keep watching.
This might be the single greatest video on UA-cam
Impressive as a superlative just doesn't do here.
I am positively gobsmacked by the depth of knowledge, material understanding, material use, engineering and application of engineering science behind these videos. There is no box left unchecked. It is the most impressive build video I've ever seen - bar none. His commentary is quite good as well.
It is men like this that put us on the moon. Wow.
Thanks for all the kind words, but you left out dashingly good looking! Ha! Thanks for watching. I Try. Although the good looks come naturally. :)
Amazing you have some serious talent my friend I love it
Blew my mind, this.... Now I truly hope there's a Part 2
What you talking about there’s already Part 4 mate

How can 1 person have so much knowledge, god damn !
this is the proof we need that god doesn't exist... all the knowledge in the world is split / divided... HOWEVER this 1 guy possesses the same as roughly a whole goddamn automotive company!
I'm amazed at people patients to get these jobs finished, problem solving at its extreme! I must have ADDs !
That is brilliant. I have never seen such a simple, yet detailed description and physical presentation of the build process. You have brought home how much work and knowledge goes into producing a car. Greatly appreciated.
My daughter says she likes how this guy used his credit card to smooth things out when doing the layup. She's 8 so she doesn't know that sometimes, credit cards smooth everything out.
Underrated comment
it is a valuable lesson:)
You have a wise child, credit cards do smooth things out.
Don't know how I missed this comment, but LOL!! Can you DM me through the "about" page of the channel or website buildercreator.com. I would like to send you and your daughter matching Ts - (on my credit card of course!)
@@BuilderCreator My son said that too..Lol...Joking, of course. But that was very kind of you!

Him: builds his own ECU
Me: well that reduced my chances drastically
Him: proceeds to fabricate everything else
Me: .......
Never give up, never surrender!
I'm building a trionic based ecu for an engine I rebuilt that lives in a car that I built and I never had a formal education, it's all possible with enough dedication....
Yes I have a Chanel about to launch, it's called.....
Ask me in a couple of days I gotta register my business name I had a business name stolen before...
well he didnt BUILD his own ecu, he used a megasquirt , which comes as a kit, and you just assemble it. he called it "making our own ecu" and that was misleading.
@@teamEP789 oh did he, I thought maybe Arduino, I got called away suddenly so still haven't been able to watch the video but yea that megasquirt stuff Is basic, I have actually built a couple of clones including currently running a spitfire for a forced mb45 so I have my experience of them for sure and I can say that even that it might be that one task is a kit and simplified, when your an individual trying to do everything yourself those kits cut decades off stuff we could do in time ourselves but because we're not immortal can't, because of them we can now focus more on more varied areas!
Basically mock the kits all you want, but any fool can use a kit, put all those kits together and build a whole car from scratch, not any fool can do that, Infact that is the work of a whole team, done by one person, at the expense of kits, which were worked out by people whom's Willy I would suck in gratitude, don't mock him being efficient, that'd make you stupid! I'm done now......

Best home built super car ever...you have been exposed to a professional standard that we should all aspire to...I learnt a few tips here that I've never seen before...thanks buddy..
It's nice to see your wife[?] helping with the build! My dad had a friend who built an aeroplane in his lounge, so as you can imagine, his wife didn't stick around. Thus ladies, one must conclude that a large, well-stocked workshop is essential for continued marital harmony.
You Should see her sewing machine collection! luckily, I fix things for her and upholstery is coming up . Ha!
@@BuilderCreator 😂 A little quid pro quo always helps. You're doing an amazing job with this build! I've always wanted to build my own car, but I will make do with following your project for now.
Hey there, just found your channel through the algorithms. Looks like I have some back videos to catch up on. Love the concept and you have the skills, tools, and space to create. I am building a Lancia Scorpion/Montecarlo with a longitudinal Subaru SVX flat six because, well I just have to be different too. I look forward to learning from your videos and hopefully you can watch some of mine and give me some thoughts and opinions as well. Best regards!
Where in the world did you find a Scorpion? I haven't seen one since I worked for an Italian car dealership 35 years ago! I will try to get some time and go watch more of your project.
I'm here because I'm a sculptor.
I really want to build my own supercar, so i started studying how a car works, any source/recommmendations that can help me with my knowledge?
Get hold of an old junk car and take it apart and then reassemble it. If it didn't run in the beginning make it run now. You need to understand someone else's mess before you start creating your own. Ha! Then watch a lot of UA-cam!
@@BuilderCreator understood, i Will do exactly that, thanks for your advice, i really appreciate it.
Sound advice, exactly how I started, I just built a 9second Toyota from bits of Nissan's and itchy paper, anything is possible, just get started, sooner you start the sooner you'll get where you want to be...
This is one of the first homebuilt cars that I've seen that totally is beautiful. Great work. Thanks for sharing!!!!

Creating a whole body so you can make the negative mould is the real test of commitment. You breezed through it like it was nothing.
Wow!
Well, "breezed through," it is probably just the magic of video editing. Ha!
@@BuilderCreator I hear you.
Have gone through all of the videos.
The focus is what is absolutely astounding.
Very realistic presentation of where all the man hours go when creating a new vehicle. Even a simple car takes at least twice as long and costs three times as much as initally estimated. I learned how to use a clay model to perfect the shape in a reasonable size to be sliced like a loaf of bread so a full size buck can be created. The creation of the wiring harness, another great time sink, was also well done.
Thank you for this video.
Obviously you understand what the 30 minute overview represents in real world dimensions. Thanks for watching, the reward for hours of work is a quick note of appreciation in the comments.
