6:15 - You can skip this entire section by standing on top of the rising grate, as far back as you can, then shaking the controller downward so mario throws his hat downward, then shaking again repeatedly after it rolls over the edge so it homes in on the hat stand and sends you to the top where you'll get a free heart :>
Damn this level really is a throwback to classic gaming. The difficulty combined with the fun and excitement takes me back to Castlevania or Super Mario 3 on the nes. It's really amazing how Nintendo can make a game so well made that it makes me feel like a 10 year old again.
I started crying when Cappy started talking about all the good times they had together…. Mario Odyssey has to be one of the most emotional and greatest Mario games out there, who knows? Maybe we may see Cappy again eventually.
Tip for the Rainbow Spikeys, if you have a normal Mario amiibo, press left or right on the d-pad and scan the amiibo to get temporary invincibility. You don’t take damage from the Rainbow Spikeys and you can use the amiibo whenever you want. You have knockback when invincible though, so be careful.
I swear these brutal final stages that are a nightmare for completionists are going be a recurring tradition in Mario games from now on. Grandmaster Galaxy, Special 8-Crown, Champion's Road and now Culmina Crater.

I don't get what's funny about this comment.. You just said what happened.
Thanks for posting this. There is no way I will be able to complete this level! So was nice to play it vicariously.
Did not realize the Yoshi gameplay was like this. It's making me crave a Yoshi game.
The champions road of Mario odyssey.
Geez, curse Nintendo for taking out that glitch, when I found out I was like “yo what the f*ck!”
Going through the painting completed me
Looks like a challenge I would pull my hair out on. I'm already having trouble with the first part of it.
Cappy, PLEASE don't get me emotional right now,
*cause when I cry I start to have lungs that don't work :(*
6:15 - You can skip this entire section by standing on top of the rising grate, as far back as you can, then shaking the controller downward so mario throws his hat downward, then shaking again repeatedly after it rolls over the edge so it homes in on the hat stand and sends you to the top where you'll get a free heart :>
Thank you, I'll be doing like this.
Damn this level really is a throwback to classic gaming. The difficulty combined with the fun and excitement takes me back to Castlevania or Super Mario 3 on the nes. It's really amazing how Nintendo can make a game so well made that it makes me feel like a 10 year old again.
7.8/10
too much lava
and Mario should have not bean a warewolf
Invisibility hat only speedrun when
Silent C Not really possible because you will need to have got every single power moon to get it :P
Henriko Magnifico You just need 500 to get to the Darker Side.
Henriko Magnifico could do a speedrun of Darker Side of the Moon
Best way, either buy 10 moons from shop or spend it on the skeleton suit
r k you cant speedrun darker side cuz its only 1 level lmao. Technically you can, but its like speedrunning 1 level.
Cappy's speech is heartwarming, so heartwarming in fact that it makes me start to cry.
I started crying when Cappy started talking about all the good times they had together…. Mario Odyssey has to be one of the most emotional and greatest Mario games out there, who knows? Maybe we may see Cappy again eventually.
This is Super Mario Galaxy3 for me ^_^
Ropsu!
Me too
For me too
Yeh It seems so much like galaxy
Ropsu! and its just you
It has you spinning, jumping, and those power shorter things are back. Also thank God they included the long jump!
13:15
I teared up at that part man
I swear these brutal final stages that are a nightmare for completionists are going be a recurring tradition in Mario games from now on. Grandmaster Galaxy, Special 8-Crown, Champion's Road and now Culmina Crater.
The end of this level is like the end of life: You have seen a bunch of different places and experienced a lot of different things, but it’s all over. However, it has been a real joy experiencing life.
What the...
an invisibility hat...
And can you dress up after that if you want to be a normal mario?
Does this give mario invincibility or what?
ljzero fernandez nope just makes him invisible
So, nothing special about it? Not being detected by enemies? Something?
ljzero fernandez it make the game more difficult
it's for screenshots without mario in it, or to make your perception more difficult.
Finally completed this stage after about 4 hours of trying! Some old school nes difficulty there! I got emotional flashbacks from my childhood.
I felt more emotion during this than watching the entire Star Wars sequel trilogy
Nintendo should've added Super Mario Galaxy epic themes for this stage to make it look special.
13:31 a good friend U,w,U
you can get moons..........on the moon?????What were they thinking
Jeselyn Rhodes Oh I thought those were bananas
Do they have moonetary value? 😂
David Curry Films it was probably for the crater good.
Mango - ___ -
That not makes sense LOL because moons on the moon🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I got so stressed playing this level that I started crying. And I haven't even finished it.
there are also poeple who can't finish so many people keep trying there best and having even finish it because it impossible so this is why i fell bad for :(
To those who want the invisibility cap and are struggling trying to get it. Turn on *NO SKILL MODE* (assist mode) and just stand in place when your low on health, you simply cannot die!
*NO SKILL MODE* will save you if you fall off the map and you can restore your health just by not touching the controller! With *NO SKILL MODE* you can be a pro like all the cool people! 🤔 Show off your invisibility cap to your friends! Just don't tell them that you used *NO SKILL MODE* 🤐
I legit started getting emotional the moment the electricity wires spelled out “THANK YOU” and Cappy started talking about their adventures while climbing the skyscraper. This Mario game really was an Odyssey...
Now we need a perfect run of this while invisible
PAULINE CALLED MARIO JUMP MAN 0_0
Yoshi Gamer
She didn't called him "Jumpman" but she made a reference.
She said:
"Go Mario! Jump,man!"
Yoshi Gamer reference to the Donkey Kong arcade.
Drawing Senpai i know now thanks lol i was kinda confused
Yoshi Gamer
No problem!
here we go, off the rails
don’t you know it- hello!
it’s freedom like you never knew
When i beat darker side for the first game, i broke down in tears so much that i had to go to the bathroom to wash them off bc of how beautiful the ending to this game is. This game is absolute perfection. Nintendo did such a good job making this game 7 years ago.
14:26.
Mario: My cap! :O Pauline, you had my cap all along?!
Really? You go to the MOON, in SPACE, and not one reference to Rosalina's ship?
KittyEars1030 There's a Rosalina pixel art on the side of the final building
Well, at least the coins are starbits.
نتوم مهبولين
That bit with the Pokios broke me.
Compared to other hard Mario levels, this is a walk in the park.
