I agree with you about the Enchanted Book thing! The issue comes in when you get a book with multiple enchantments on it; I feel like in that case it would make sense to be named Enchanted Book since that's harder to solve in the same way, but it'd be nice for those single-enchant books.

Etho!!!! You should do a series with bdubs where you teach him red stone in simple stages, give him homework to gain experience and he’ll come back to learn more. You could possibly get other hermits involved too. Much Love!
You mentioned not having all the new animals yet, have you ever considered making a zoo/reservation/noah's ark somewhere in your world? Could be a cool way to show off all the new mobs and blocks! :^)

24:33 THANK YOU for solving how to collect suspicious blocks! Hope it works for sand too. I'd love to add the texture to use. I wish there was suspicious red sand too though. 😢 27:31 One downside I've been told about sniffers, is they have a memory of where they've sniffed. So you would need to move their enclosure over time to get more seeds. Which would be annoying if you want a sniffer farm. 😵💫 And the vine got scrapped, I'd be annoyed if it got scrapped because of the leak. 38:04 Wonder if you regret throwing all those diamonds in lava over the years now? 🤣
I love how Etho acts like a game tester with every new feature, seeing all the different ways in which it interacts. That sort of detail level exploration always seems to get left out by most people with anything new.
I really do like the lighting engine improvements. There have been a ton of mods always trying to optimize the engine, and I hope this will at least let them fill in more gaps, if not be completely obsolete.
I just wanted to say thankyou Etho. You bring joy like always. I have been going around listening to all of the remixes of your singing and that has also been very enjoyable. Definitely making a playlist of those.
I think an interesting way to do redstone videos would be to do a colab where you teach another person how to do something simple and build up to bigger projects with them.
I'm gonna guess that the reason they didn't publicize the 1.20 lighting optimizations very much is because doing so would mean admitting their failure up until this point :P
Two new wood types are nice, they both are quite unique, love the new bookshelves, but my favourite feature is also the new rewritten lighting engine. As a programmer I know how much time and effort goes into technical, optimalization stuff like this, and imagine making it work for all the platforms, must have been a huge task. Probably that's why we waited the whole year for the update to come out. I'm so glad Mojang did this major performance improvement. It's also going to make the developer expierence way better. Maybe colored lighting will be possible to implement now, who knows.
I havnt seen your content on my feed since I was 13 and im 24 now Keep it going etho you remind me of a better time that feels like such a long time ago

Etho, have you thought about doing Iskall's vault hunters mod? Sorry if youve been asked this before but I think youd really enjoy it. It has a lot of direction as well as exploration and combat

Cant wait to see what your armor will look like once you’ve got all the trims available!
I randomly got recommended this video after not watching any minecraft for probably the last like 10 years, its insane how much new stuff has been added since the last time i played 😂 i really want to play some now lol
EVERYBODY DROP WHAT YOU’RE DOING
*Etho uploaded*
Hey Etho, the chiseled bookshelfs can also be used to filter normal and enchanted books from large item streams.
Like for example piglin bartering, so now you can filter a non stack able item which is quite nice.
Wow, that was a great episode! Can't believe that ending, haha!
Sus
I’ve never been more excited about a Minecraft update than this one! I’ve been playing around with it for 3 days now, and I love it!!!
I really hope Etho does a multi hour decked out video when it releases! Ik I’d watch for sure
+
I’m glad you did a quick overview of the changes! For someone like myself who hasn’t played in years but still watches all your videos, it’s very interesting!
Activate Etho in a lolly shop mode. These videos are always so good. Etho exploring and experimenting with the new update.
Been watching for over 10 years and still feel like a kid every time I watch a new LP episode. Ultimate Nolstagia, thank you for still continuing to upload for us
Enzo savouring the latest cuisine de la Mojang. The devs must feel as if the iron chef just walked into their humble diner.
Edit: The chiseled bookshelves are literally screaming:" Put all the comments-of-the-day-books up into shelves in the library!"
Love how you use the spy glass for the pillagers it’s so fun and I love how you use pretty much every item in the game
This is the fastest I've clicked on a notification.
Same lol
Literally same
You and me both. Lol
Same
Immediately
Etho!!!! You should do a series with bdubs where you teach him red stone in simple stages, give him homework to gain experience and he’ll come back to learn more. You could possibly get other hermits involved too.
Much Love!
these bookshelfs would be quite cool to set the desired floor for an elevator
Etho, thanks for always being there for me. No matter what I’m doing or going through, I can always count on your episodes to give me a boost in life.
You mentioned not having all the new animals yet, have you ever considered making a zoo/reservation/noah's ark somewhere in your world? Could be a cool way to show off all the new mobs and blocks! :^)
Etho, I just went back to watch your first video, and I gotta say, you have come so far and been so consistently good over the years, which is something that can’t be said for other UA-camrs. Thank you for being the best, and inspiring and entertaining both of us.
Etho, your Karen impression absolutely made my month 😂😂😂😂
I work in retail/customer service and dealt with a Karen today, so that was a much needed release for me 😂
24:33 THANK YOU for solving how to collect suspicious blocks! Hope it works for sand too. I'd love to add the texture to use. I wish there was suspicious red sand too though. 😢
27:31 One downside I've been told about sniffers, is they have a memory of where they've sniffed. So you would need to move their enclosure over time to get more seeds. Which would be annoying if you want a sniffer farm. 😵💫
And the vine got scrapped, I'd be annoyed if it got scrapped because of the leak.
38:04 Wonder if you regret throwing all those diamonds in lava over the years now? 🤣
I know I keep saying it but really Etho's videos are the highlights of my days and they are even better when I get off work!
Etho's Canadian accent reeeealllly popped out with "Okay we got a pretty big one over here!" at 13:39
I love how Etho acts like a game tester with every new feature, seeing all the different ways in which it interacts. That sort of detail level exploration always seems to get left out by most people with anything new.
This looks cool, love seeing you explore these features like that haha
I really do like the lighting engine improvements. There have been a ton of mods always trying to optimize the engine, and I hope this will at least let them fill in more gaps, if not be completely obsolete.
I just wanted to say thankyou Etho. You bring joy like always.
I have been going around listening to all of the remixes of your singing and that has also been very enjoyable. Definitely making a playlist of those.
I think an interesting way to do redstone videos would be to do a colab where you teach another person how to do something simple and build up to bigger projects with them.
This is one of the best episodes I've seen from your channel! Lots of possibilities for the new update I hadn't seen before.
I'm gonna guess that the reason they didn't publicize the 1.20 lighting optimizations very much is because doing so would mean admitting their failure up until this point :P
I never knew how much I needed to hear Karen Etho until now, but now I need more!
Exactly. Stuff like that takes time and care!
I havnt seen your content on my feed since I was 13 and im 24 now
Keep it going etho you remind me of a better time that feels like such a long time ago
Hi Etho! I'm curious, do you do anything to keep your voice healthy such as vocal exercises or avoiding certain food or drink? Been watching since around 2012, keep up the good work!
those book stands make for some amazing door codes (a lot of people used to make them with item frames back in the days). especially great for adventure maps.
those bamboo planks remind me of attack of the bteam
I never thought I would hear Etho have a mini mental breakdown about sponges and pomegranates 😂
Let’s go!! I’ve been exploring 1.20 too, can’t wait to see what you’ve got going on Etho!
I usually watch videos at 2x speed to save time, but I can’t with the let’s play episodes because I don’t want them to be over.
The amplified biomes found in this episode are so pretty!
Etho, have you thought about doing Iskall's vault hunters mod? Sorry if youve been asked this before but I think youd really enjoy it. It has a lot of direction as well as exploration and combat
always a great treat seeing Etho exploring new features and game mechanics!
Torchflowers giving me von sway vibes! Love them. This was a fun video, looking forward to 1.20.
Thanks a bunch for going through the new update recipes and stuff!! I don't watch too many Minecraft people these days so it's great when the info pops up in the people I do watch ❤
I think how you covered the Calibrated Skulk Sensors was the perfect balance of just the right amount of information, so if you ever did tutorials on more components that would be a good reference point.
Glad to see Etho still making it on the trending page
