I’ve got a Defender 90 300tdi - went to Morzine for a ski season 3 years ago to finally learn to ski at the age of 32! I was given a Td5 110 as head driver - best time of my life!
Great series, I have an x5 that is to be a donor car for my 110, having a running unit hopefully reduces the pitfalls of your 90 build. Greatly appreciate your honesty with these projects. Cheers Steve
That looks brilliant- engine as you say is perfect- think I saw it go up to the Ardent car park this year. Will look for it again in a few weeks when I go back. But a great job. Looking forward to transfer box ratio change.
What? Which year did you film this? I live round the corner and can’t remember when we had snow this year. 🤔😂. Anyway, lovely job. Next time I’m in Morzine, I’ll keep an eye open for this beauty 👍
I would love an electronic hand brake in my defender, are you guys selling it as a kit? Also, where did you get the heater from? Great vid as always, keep up the good work.
Details! ;-) I assume it is a BMW M57 but I never saw that info. But I assumed as well, that customer chose a ZF 8HP. Which is the best one to choose, like 8HP e.g. But you said "the automatic that comes with the engine" ... so it is a 6HP???
There is a shed load of money to be made by the first fitters to offer affordable electric defender conversions. 150 range is enough. Shed load of money..,
ECC awesome but premium in price to match. There is a company in France developed short range drop-in conversions for little town cars 5000€. Getting rich. Most Defenders I bet rarely go in 100mile + journey so reckon would be a winner for someone if price kept sub-15k.
Well… What did I take from THIS video ..? You still have hair sir … wich you are always hiding… 😝👍😜 … However … The BMW engine combined with a automatic gearbox must’ve a good choice, because … sir Radcliffe is using/installs the same combo in his INDEOS Grenadier … wich is lucky EU 🇪🇺build in France 🇫🇷… thx to Brexit 😂

That conversion looks completely OEM, great effort. NFT pad on the centre console will be a great addition

It’s been a while,glad you are back😎👍

How much is the conversion kit going to cost ?
The 70s called and they want their Ski Suit back! Just kidding! Love the vehicle and everything you’ve done to it!
Only one word for this masterpiece - "unbelievable"!
This was an Awesome build Sam. Its a credit to you and the team 👌
What a great setting good to see something different love your videos thanks

Thanks Sam - a different and interesting aspect to the channel. Also probity in relation to products used in projects and how they progress. Cheers.
Amazing work. If I ever get a Defender I will get it booked in with you guy's.
How’s the interior heat in winter.
I take it that it has snow tyres fitted in those conditions 👍🏻🏴
I think those bfg ATs are winter rated.
Can u get this is ULEZ compliant
The centre console looks good but either the shift lever needs to be centred or balanced by something else on the passenger side.
So what is the resulting HP on this build?

Coil springs...the future of many a land rover fitted with air ride!
beautiful job, call me impressed!
Awesome, fantastic conversion. Is this available on a TD5 90?
its turned out well
Nice set up that, does it have air con ?
Yes
Very very nice.
Any chance of doing something with a Disco 3, I can't afford a Defender.
Lovely France and there civilised motorway speed limits.
Speaking of long lost builds is there any updates to big red coming soon?
We’ve just had the missing parts delivered this week! Stay with us!
@@juicemotorsok. When can i head over?? And ill need the address. I appreciate you inviting me to stay with ya; and yus i do accept.
So excited. 🎉🥴
Any plans to fit the N57 to a Defender? 🤔
the M-series is the wayyy cheaper and less complicated engine!
The chain by itself is a reason. Do you know where the chain sits on a N57?
What happened to the Series 3 engine swap?
I near flicked past yer vid mate, thumbnail looked like a insta influencer lol.
Where is old red
Imagine a proper ZF8spd gearbox in this….
well it has to be said you know how to confuse someone, lol one min its a non runner in the garage the next its in the snow why was it not running?
Did you have the sound on? I explained everything…
Very nice 👌🏽 lovely place too 🛻
Is this the same engine and gearbox as Ineos are using for the Grenadeer?
I think ineos are using the latest generation of these engines, so maybe linked but not the same? Could be wrong tho
Ineos uses b58 petrol or a b57 diesel
Nice dent in the door at 12:44.....
Beautiful defender but mate thats a hideous ski suit 😂😂😂😂
Sounds as sweet as a nut. Great job

Electric classic cars already does
@@theimbiber ECC offer great conversions, but I wouldn’t call them affordable
150 mile range is awful. I want an electric car that will do 650 to 700 then I might think about it

700mm back - surely 70mm back.
No, 700mm back - we need to move it into Puma position for the props - 70mm wouldn’t be nearly enough
A grenadier with style.
I really appreciate how you use only two genders in greeting us ! 😁👍

How much cost for puma ?
