End of the day, the Defender is a very customisable vehicle and if this owner wants it that way, then who are we to turn our noses up. It just shows what can be done. And if in a years time he doesn't like it. Putting some taller springs back on it isn't difficult. I think it looks smart and will still turn heads.
I think you just nailed it. It can always be reversed and there are a lot of companys turning them into Chelsea Tractors. Even Land Rover are doing it with the new one. ( Controversial) :D
I like the look. One suggestion, if the idea is sleek and fast maybe go with a non-AT tire. One of the road tires that are on the new Defenders or Range Rovers might look even better. Pirelli Zero All Season maybe. Great work as always!
Have isolators on my 90 + fox. Found they really take off the small vibrations no end. JLR had them on Discos, classic JLR to not bother putting them on the late Defenders.
Absolutely love this, would love a set of 2” lowering springs I’ve got 1” lower but feel it’s not enough This looks mega but I would need a little more travel and don’t fancy modifying too much like bump stops etc Top work as usual guys 👌
I fitted -2.5s to mine about 8 years ago. Has a habit of catching the wheels in the arches on flex, and I fitted dislocation comes in the rear to help. Looks cool AF though 👍
Looks amazing. Probably wouldn’t work on a station wagon but as an all black van with all the bowler enhancements it’s sick. What was the final height floor to wheel arch?
Bonjour ! Dites-moi quel est le modèle et où puis-je acheter ce bandeau led ? 🇫🇷 Hello what is this model and where can I found the led bar ? (Sorry I’m French)
Nice job but would not be for me. Slightly off topic, I have a 2003 discovery 2, TD5 and may need to replace the front crank pulley/harmonic balancer soon. Can you recommend a brand that does not break the bank but is of acceptable quality? (I'm in Australia but can of course order from anywhere) Thanks
I am a die hard landy lover and yes they are off road vehicles but that is so cool I love it definitely thinking of doing something similar to mine 👌🏻 love what you guys do keep it up
Fantastic work lads , nice content, but my ocd has kicked in them front brakes discs just need swapping around , grooves are spraying forward and not backwards but looking foward to future videos, and only request more videos 😄 👍👍all the best
I will never understand why anyone would want to lower a Defender. If you want something that handles better then buy something that handles better. Defenders are great and I love mine but there is nothing you can do to it that would make it handle anything other than dog shit.
@@juicemotors it would be like wanting your rotten fish to taste better by sprinkling sugar on it.. While it might handle slightly better, it is still far from a good handling car and you have just ruined what it is actually good at. Worst of both worlds IMO.
Love this, just works for the setup of the car with the Bowler kit, again showing how versatile the Defender is to making it your own. Looks classy and planted but if in the future you want it to look mean and with more presence replace springs and boom back to another look - another quality video along with quality work - keep them coming
I love Defenders for their versatility in design - I’ve chosen one car to modify and you bet I’m going to try all the flavours out there! Thanks for your support!
I think this is perfect for those who daily drive their defender for a purely road bias. Me personally I use my puma 90 everyday for work, shopping and everyday life and would love to lower mine. Just because you have defender doesn't mean you have to off road them, just means you can drive in style
amazing springs change the car looks so darn good! very nice look and seems to all functional well done! keep it up Juice as always, a very job and video Ocean 😍 and its son?? Lovely!!! 💙💙
Looks absolute fantastic, reminds me of my 130 on air suspension! What about the travel of the shocks, don't they move in the end of their inwards travel?
@juice what ever happened to your building the biggest defender with the terrafirma ultra high lift? Was really looking forward to that. Iv looked at your page to see when the first video and only video was released and it looks like you deleted it?
sweet. modding is a thing of personal gusto. I like all defenders :) myself I'm more for the old red kinda build....which im sure im not the only one looking forward to :)
I think I'd be considering variable rate springs to stiffen it before it bottoms out or maybe hydraulic bump stops. The other thing I wondered is whether the panhard rod would need shortening to keep the axle in line. Fun concept though and will no doubt surprise a few other drivers 😀
Interesting exercise. It does look too low now though. I think once you have to start cutting bits off it should be a signal that you may have perhaps gone a little too far 😂
Please guys, have the customer come back and fit rear dislocation cones. Obviously not needed immediately, but the spring can lodge itself crooked and even force the tire off the bead. Or better yet, just get shorter shocks and put those nice shocks on something else. As for the isolators, you will find them on D1/D2s here in the US. Not sure if they're on D1s over there, considering you guys haven't run into them? Those Bearmach isolators are actually OEM replicas by the way, at least for the rear. The fronts are a bit different.
So it’s great done - the car is smooth in suspension, but what can he do off-road? It will be hard on him! I really liked the number black background and white letters on the black car! ) Above the windshield is not enough sun visor! ) As always, good work guys!
Looks the dogs matey, I'd love my p38 to be used daily and lifted on the weekend for scragging through the crap. As capable as these landys are... What's wrong with being different 😎
I like it, bit of a strange mix. Lowered but off road wheels and tyres? Never used off road so will never use the light bar. I think it needs the full glass rear now.
I like it and have considered it for my own Puma. I believe you just changed the springs and not the dampers. Typically when you change the ride height, you have to change the dampers to work optimally. Maybe that’s not needed when the dampers have a wider operating range than a sedan or sports car ? Can you reveal the price for the 4 springs ?
Hi Juice and folks! greetings from Ireland!! I'm after a Defender and boy oh boy they're expensive at the moment... the ones I can afford all have between 150 to 200k miles and I'm hesitent as I've never owned a vehicle with such high mileage. What do you guys reckon? huge risk? would I end up investing in a replacement engine down the line or could they go further if well maintained? Cheers!
Love the look of course but having those springs hang loose like that when unloaded wouldn’t sit well with me personally, maybe try shorter dampers that would at least keep the springs preloaded. I would go with a more road inspired wheel/tyre package as well, let’s face it it’s no longer an off-road vehicle there’s no reason to have off-road tyres.
Great job. Please post the link for the light bar.
It’ll be on our website soon!

I do like the light bar , very neat installation.
Lowered Defender is not for me , but I do like it.
What tyre size are you running on the bowler wheels ?
Looking to something similar 💛
I like the look. One suggestion, if the idea is sleek and fast maybe go with a non-AT tire. One of the road tires that are on the new Defenders or Range Rovers might look even better. Pirelli Zero All Season maybe. Great work as always!
That looks sick, id go for smaller tyres personally then it’d retain some of the original proportions a bit maybe
I thought that too. You can gain some room the easy way.
sick lol are you 14?
@@llwydanwyl mentally? More like 5 tbh
Have isolators on my 90 + fox. Found they really take off the small vibrations no end. JLR had them on Discos, classic JLR to not bother putting them on the late Defenders.
love it , and im sure the owner who wants their defender lowering will love it to ! great job Sam
That light bar is something special wow 🙌
Looks amazing!
Do you know what wheels and sizes are fitted? Plucking up the courage to build a discoII and think they'd fit the bill
Brilliant job.....this should be your "track day" defender package...
Absolutely love this, would love a set of 2” lowering springs
I’ve got 1” lower but feel it’s not enough
This looks mega but I would need a little more travel and don’t fancy modifying too much like bump stops etc

Heyy what is this for a full custome exhaust?? Im very intrested !!
Can you supply these springs? Any idea on the tyre size? 285/60R18?
Hi nice build .. what is the tyre and wheels setup??
I fitted -2.5s to mine about 8 years ago. Has a habit of catching the wheels in the arches on flex, and I fitted dislocation comes in the rear to help. Looks cool AF though 👍
That 2.2 sounds lovely. Does it still have the DPF?
Looks amazing. Probably wouldn’t work on a station wagon but as an all black van with all the bowler enhancements it’s sick. What was the final height floor to wheel arch?
Black Panel Van!! Where did you get that idea!??? Lol guys! That honestly looks super dope!! Unreal! Great job!! Love it
Can you tell us where you got the springs from please
Looks great and I agree with Jerry's comment below on tire selection
Where can I buy these springs for my 110 crew cab :-) I LOVE IT. What size tyres are on it?
I’m all for the big lifted defenders, but oh my word this is something else 😍 it looks absolutely mental!!
The drop just works.
Where do you get custom defender lettering from? Like the letters that go on the bonnet?
Looking great, love the lightbar..
Forget the haters
Bonjour ! Dites-moi quel est le modèle et où puis-je acheter ce bandeau led ? 🇫🇷

Would love info on springs and light bar please

where can i get that lightbar
It’ll be on our website soon, or send me an email!
Watching from Nairobi - Kenya. The Defender 90 looks 'Beastly-Beautiful'.👏👏👏👏
Love that approach, seriously thinking of doing this 👍🏻
Spring isolators were standard fitment on defender from factory on rear springs
Look nice! What tire does it on?
Fantastic work lads , nice content, but my ocd has kicked in them front brakes discs just need swapping around , grooves are spraying forward and not backwards but looking foward to future videos, and only request more videos 😄 👍👍all the best
Are the springs for sale???
What wheels and tyres size is on it please

Light bar looks awsome very neat look to it not a fan of the lowered look but still a cracking job

One question though how is the front number plate held on? Is there any bracket on this or just stick on the guard as the guard has a flat bit?
3m number plate tape
Looks absolute fantastic, reminds me of my 130 on air suspension! What about the travel of the shocks, don't they move in the end of their inwards travel?

Didn't delete the video! Just waiting until we've got some time to crack on with the project, more vids to come!
Great build brother! Never mind the haters that's a work of art
Where did you get that light bar from?
Where have you gone buddy? We’re hyped for that new build 😄
Not for me personally, but I love the attention to detail and innovation on the build!
Who makes the light bar? 😍
Juice! Who makes the light bar? I love it!!!!

Good to see a disco in the shop 😉 great video, keep it up 👍
Do you still make these? If so how much are they?
Part number for the spring isolators also a link to the LED bar + mounting brackets 🙏 awesome video
Did you have to do a caster correction?
No sir bushes sit at a better angle than factory!

All off road working vehicles are pickups these days anyway. It looks tashty mate!😍
We need a video of how to install air locker for Land Rover Defender
We’ll be adding one to old red!
Looks superb. I want it.
Re-name it Road Rover or R ad Rover and fit wider tyres and flares, that would be a show car! Keep up the great work

Looks the absolute Dogs' Danglies!!!! Proper proper mean look!!!!! 😎😎😎😎😎😎
I think this looks great….would love to see this a step further with a notched chassis to see how this would drive and look
I like it, bit of a strange mix. Lowered but off road wheels and tyres? Never used off road so will never use the light bar. I think it needs the full glass rear now.
Looks good.
Looks very sporty.
Looks fantastic its what's used for

looks amazing. would look better with fatter side wall tyres with white walls and some camber. Would give it that retro racer look. Great Stuff!!
“He never uses it off-road” was the most depressing sentence Ive ever heard when talking about a defender.
Beautiful for the roadways.
Beautiful defender
For a road only vehichle this looks cool. Nice to be different.
Nice and easy to fit those springs compared to lifted springs so that's a positive. Each to his own but I'm with the lifted guys.
The tires size, Please.
All the same bowler gear as mine… that guy has taste
Light bar for a city defender? ok. Whats next? Brush guards for supermarket trolley dents?
I dig the music in your videos. Who are some of the songwriters?
A variety of royalty free music on epidemic sound, I try to find music that works with my videos! Glad you enjoy them! Thanks for watching!
All through the video I was thinking what a really awful idea this is, but I have to concede the end result does look totally amazing!

You can almost walk under my defender .... Lower it never 😍👍👍👍👍👍
Love the content but was some of this filmed on a potato?
I absolutely LOVE this. It’s insane!!! I’d love that with mine. ❤️❤️🔥🔥
Wow mate that’s a really cool defender It’s something you definitely don’t see every day I like it
Something different, looks good yet not too radical.

great vid ! love defenders anyone using one as a daily van ?
Sam, where are you? I need my Juice and puppy fix! I hope you are well and I look forward to your return!
I bet it’s a nightmare through a compression dip, looks the dogs though.👍👍
LOVE YOUR WORK :)
It looks mad and where it's low it makes it look so much faster to
Sam.
I agree with your comment that it "looks ridiculous" . Something similar to a fair ground carousel ride. Not for me though.
I Love it! 😍
