I don't know, it smells like some bullshit excuse to not put the Apocalypse tank in main production. Instead, you had to infiltrate another soviet player to get it.

well, the lore has the Soviets made it too OP and thus it costed more to produce as well thus phased out.
this is just a way of saying the devs saw the Apocalypse tank as an OP unit ingame that was hard to balance so they made it stolen tech.
this also applies to Prism tank which has been greatly nerfed and is only useful as a siege unit against structures and occasionally infantry.
(its not very useful like it was in RA2, this all has been done for the sake of balance as many other units and stuff is put in the mod)

Sadly, MO Prism Tank is Harshly nerfed vs Tank
And the Apocalypse Tank can only be built by infiltrating a soviet player.
Prism Tank = nerfed to be a sole artillery unit and got exclusive to Euro Alliance only
Apocalypse = got buffed, but locked behind stolen tech and requires enemy Soviet to get... Catastrophe Tank is basically the OG Apocalypse but can have extra power like an IFV
This isn't surprising.
The Prism Tank in MO is designed to smite structures and one shot most infantry now. You need to use Charon or Mirage Tanks if you want to blow up armor.
The Apoc is now a hidden unit that requires a Soviet player to infiltrate a Soviet Battle Lab and it just obliterates most armor on ground bar Mastadons.

@@keamu8580 Tank Destroyer in Mental Omega is buffed it can match almost every tank in game even an apocalypse tank.
The Tank Destroyer was removed from MO as of 3.3.2 and replaced by the Paladin Tank Hunter and Paladin Aid is the support power. It's still effective against Armor and it can attack structures unlike the Charon but it isn't the greatest against Apocs.
Mastodons, Charon and Overcharged Tesla Tanks are the best tanks to 1on1 Apocs with

things changed a lot in MO. prism tank in MO has a 30% multiplier against heavy armor. They are specialized to attack structures.
Apocalypse becomes a stolen unit, can be used to attack all types of units.
the right opponent of apocalypse in MO is nuwa cannon or say future tank (or you can go iron dragon and seeing apocalypse being completely smashed)
For iron dragon，ground units are only ants.Its damage is so high that even everything melts immediately.

Technically mass masterminds still work against apocs. You will take a lot more casualties and it needs more micro.
Otherwise PF simply hard counters with their battle tortoise being a bit faster

That red aura that the apocalypse tanks have is probably an added effect but MO isn't my favorite version unlike the original, because they may have modifications but some players considered it as a downgrade in their own opinions.
Red aura effect for healing Infantry unit stand on its range. Just like C&C Generals Overlord Tank's aura Effect

Well things in MO are different as some of us know in vanilla MO that we can be built without any rules.ini edit and stuff like these is the Apocalypse Tank or Catastrophe tank are the powerful ones not even Abrams can be match for them

the biggest problem is the fact Prisim tanks can micro super easy same with battle fortress and such alot of allied units can micro super easy i wounder how hard it be to kill there shit with none allied shit if properly microed.
