Green radiation just have such a nostalgic feeling... But effects are ofc better in Mental Omega.
Red alert 2 nuke has a better ambient lightning when impact moment, unlike Mental Omega nuke it’s only dark orange tent without any brightness or a light source

M.O. Nuke is nerfed to bring balance to the game.
Not to mention both cant kill an ore miner or an anti air defense unlike the lightning storm since they only hit once while the latter weapon hits the targeted spot several times and once nearby
It's a game ending superweapon that is mediocre at best at actually ending the game, it needed a buff, not a nerf.

Yeah, on its own the nuke won't win you the game in Mental Omega, but when properly supported it makes for a great opener for a large attack.
Not like nuke in RA2 on its own can win the game either... pro players have mastered the proper way to minimize nuke impact. It's the psychic dominator that needs to be nerfed as it casts instantaneously and does more dmg than nukes.
Yeah, was gonna say something similar. For a tower that costs 5 grand, with a ten minute reload speed, while also telling your opponent it exists, it's definitely not in need of a nerf holy shit. Unless mental omaga has something else regarding this going on. I never played this mod yet.

Nuke is still quite good in pvp in Mental Omega, it's very consistently good against large groups of units or their base, Mental Omega just happens to play very differently.
What's actually nerfed, or, changed, is that radiation fields don't do as much damage, this is the big change. Also things generally got more health and better armor in MO, this also having a huge impact.
It's fun using nuke while also having captured a Missile Bunker

The unit stats are different and boosted in the mental omega than red alert original which made the nukes and super power weapons less effective due to the power boost in stats like jow op the conscript is in mnetal omega compared to red alert.
Side note: red down nuke > Yuri's revenge > mental omega in power

superweapon related EVA are removed in MO coz they cant just make Allied, Soviet and Yuri EVA say anything about the Foehn superweapons... something like "Warning! Tempest Architect detected" or "Great Tempest ready"
