- what is the biggest tire size we can put on dodge ram 1500 In this video we are gonna talk about what is the biggest size tire weekend put on a 2014 Dodge ram 1500 with a 2.5 Lyft kit ,every truck is different I read several forums and they say that every truck is made different your truck might need a 3" lift kit so measure your back tire and check how much higher you need to go on the front to have the precise measurement you need to go up
I ran 35x12.50-18 NITTO RIDGE GRAPPLERS w/ '0' offset Black Rhino Sierra rims on my 19' Ram1500 'Classic' 4x4 Crewcab after a 2"level kit (full Fox struts, not blocks.) Minor plastic fab. (Zip ties & heat gun).. never any rubs.
I have a leveling kit also 2.5 inch and I used a 8mm flat spacers behind my factory wheels and I was able to run 35/12.5/20 tires on my ram with no problems
I have no level kit installed yet and I am running 285/70R17 on 17x9 wheels with 18mm offset with boatloads of room. I’m convinced I could squeeze 35s stock
Yea that’s because the wheel size difference makes a huge difference. Your 285s are about 2in smaller in diameter then dudes 285s on a 20in wheel. Your 285/70r17 is actually smaller then 33in diameter. Buddy with the 285s on a 20in wheel though is almost 35in in diameter.
Summed up, your tires are like 32.5 inches and his are like 34.5.
I put a level on my 2013 and I have 305/55R20 on mine.
Have you had to replace your front wheel hubs yet
How close r u to ur control arm
Put 285/75/18 which is taller than those tires
Thanks I will keep that in mind but I belive anything taller will hit when you turn
Do you lift back too ? Or did they fit without lifting the back?
That’s incorrect actually. They’re about identical height, given the math for metric tire size. Also being such an odd size, not as many options for tires
I’ll be leveling my single cab, but dropping the rear 2in. I’ve got the same rims just want to keep it the same with a big tire. Anything y’all recommend? It’s my daily.
