@@thecontemporarygentleman I just got mine yesterday and I'm noticing my illuminator divergence wheel isn't perfectly straight. When I rotate it, I can see it's at a slight angle. I don't think it's a big deal. Wondering if yours is the same way?
@@armon8399 forgot to look that night, but I did check. Mine looks good. I'd reach out to Wilcox and hopefully they have you send a picture. I would be interested to hear the result.
The main feature that I believe makes it superior to the ngal (and the reason I gave up on the ngal) is the ability to turn down the illuminators and laser brightness. If your shooting at distance lots of times the laser and illuminator is too powerful and turning it down to the sweet spot allows you to better see the targer. I guess a second one is that you can literally program that remote to have any setting you want, that's pretty cool.
To answer your question, the rubber cover is the one I am using because it fits. A revision is in order for the "garage door", and then it will be my choice.
@@thecontemporarygentleman Do you have both side screws inserted and somehow managed to get them to fit into the tracks? If so, that's wild! You're the literal only one.
I can't comment because I haven't even seen a boss XE in person. That said, I don't believe the Boss is holographic, so you'd lose the benefits of that. However, I think the Boss costs $4K which is what the Raid XE does by itself. However, going back the other way, you just don't have the features of the Raid with the Boss. I think the Boss is great for saving space and keeping a low profile. Also, you can have two zeros which is likely the greatest benefit.
@@thecontemporarygentleman It sounds like there is a balance to be made. Can there be compensation for the dual zero with the EO (and mag benefit w/ a holo) vs rail savings. …Fair comment. Sounds like a good video idea.
I'm finding there is always a balance/trade off. There could be some compensation, but that depends on ammo selection. I use the ring and two dot Eotechs which is the same reticle as the 300 blk EOTech. The idea being one dot is for subs, the other, supers. In practice, with the ammo I used, it wasn't even close. One would need two separate dots or two separate optics. Two T2s or a scope and top dot etc. It would be a great video. I'd love to do it one day, but that won't be soon.
Just placed an order for a full power raid xe. Should be here next week. Can't wait
I'm glad to hear it. You won't be disappointed.

Indeed!
Dude how do you do it I just got one and cannot adjust illumination or laser Brightness no matter what
@@CR-wy5oi first, are you sure you got a full power? If you are, you remove a screw that prevents the rotating switch/knob from accessing them.
Probably the best video I’ve seen on this unit. Thank you. 👍🏽
Thank you!

@@UnobtaniumsQuickReviews what's wrong with the garage door? Is it just yours, or a larger issue? Mine seems good.
@@thecontemporarygentleman The tracks in it need to be redesigned to properly fit the side screws.
I did notice a very slight gap, but so far, mine seems functional.

@@UnobtaniumsQuickReviews I believe so. My buddy's worked too. So maybe we're the only two?
Loved the video man! Hard to find info on these things!
Thank you! I hope it was helpful.
Im close to ordering one of these.
What NV tubes you have? They looked very nice
MH-1 from Low Light Innovations. I have an initial impressions video on them if you're interested.
I need it
Your wires hanging out in giant loops is giving me anxiety lol
😂🤣 I get it. Also, I know Big Wire Retainer doesn't want you to know this, but... ... You don't immediately die if you don't retain a wire. 😉
I got word from big zip tie that their rep is on the way
🤣😂 I actually have Magpul wire deals and I just haven't installed them yet.
Any comments on the Raid XE + EOTech vs Boss XE?
