Right before The Brady Bunch, Eve appeared in a Family Affair episode as a dying girl who wanted to live long enough to experience her last Christmas. She knocked that performance out of the park.
One of my most favorite episodes of another one of my favorite tv shows, "Family Affair". Eve was such a professional, and the best little actress ever😊
@@patriniacopeland6891Also Robert Reed played a Teacher on Family Affair that Cissy had a crush on. He also played a Professor on The Paper Chase who may or may have not had an affair with one of his students. It seems that the young lady wasn't doing well in her subjects and why she was still at Harvard? I love Typewriters. Can you imagine how many bestsellng novels were typed on Typewriters like that.
@@bluepuppydan That was Pamelyn Ferdin, who played Lucy, Jan's friend, in the episode when Jan bought and wore that hideous black wig. Perhaps the name "Lucy" was chosen on purpose for that episode?
I'll tell you whats funny I'm the same age as Jan and I never watched this show as a kid.Now I'm sixty five years old and watch these episodes and I love it. Every episode has moral and love behind it.
When i was a kid I wanted a modern looking home but now they all look the same .....Now I want a Brady Bunch Home ( or one from that era) with a box T.V. and pink and blue floral wall paper in my room......It's the best.
... (2:44)....this was VERY sweet of Alice to do, for Jan....It's clear she loves those Brady Kids as her OWN, but personally aches that she never had ANY of her own; the abrupt hug (3:38), showed that Alice WAS Jan once, and FINALLY got the 'Secret Admirer' she wished SHE had....now, in JAN..... (3:51)
This is my absolute favorite moment of the entire show. The one time Alice was more than a housekeeper and sharing something special with Jan. As a middle child, I could relate with Jan when I was little. I thought that Jan was the funniest during the first season. She had some sass in her.
Yup, for "The Bob Cummings Show". She had been pretty much out of commission after that until she was chosen for the role of Alice. She was the most devoted cast member to "The Brady Bunch" and later said how she wished the show had stayed on for a few more years.
Alice said that her typewriter has a date with a screwdriver. Yeah, she’s gotta fix it from dropping it’s “y” before the rest of the family discovers it. They were trying to find the typewriter that drops it’s “y” to find out who sent Jan the locket.
And then, in the tenth episode of the fourth season of our Lord Brady, Jan turns on Alice along with all the other kids. I wonder if she ever took that locket out and thoughtfully looked at it at any time during that affair.
pretty sure. I haven't watched too much of the show but I think the first floor has the family room, mike's den, the kitchen, and the (living?) room with the door that leads to the outside. I believe all of the bedrooms are on the second floor.
This was sweet but I can't help but feel a little sad when Alice was saying to Jan, "You and Peter are the middle children, but Peter's a boy so it doesn't really matter in his case" I mean seriously , poor Peter lol Judging from the boys' dynamic, Peter probably feels the same rejection, Greg is the COOL one, and Bobby is always quit the drama king, always going though some drama and getting everyone's attention, I imagine Peter feels overlooked too
...It DID....Alice indicated to Jan that she was a 'Middle Child' also, who doesn't get the respect, recognition, acknowledgement...or, LOVE...that Younger / Older siblings get....She wanted to do this for Jan, knowing it would make her feel LOVED.....something, Alice HERSELF wished she once had...... (3:38) ....
This was a cute episode. Eve Plumb was an excellent actress for her age.
She was great! Jan, Peter, and Alice are all my favorites on the show
She was a good artist too.
Definitely the best of the bunch!
She was fine until she reached puberty. After that she was super awkward.
I never understood why Marcia got so much attention. Jan was all that!
That's so sweet of Alice😊
So nice. So wholesome. I miss those days.
Did Marcia and Greg ever bone?
Those were wonderful days, everything was better 😢
@@norijean3279 I used to watch this show and shake hot white coconuts from the veiny love tree
Right before The Brady Bunch, Eve appeared in a Family Affair episode as a dying girl who wanted to live long enough to experience her last Christmas. She knocked that performance out of the park.
Season 3 Episode 11 called, "Christmas Came a Little Early!" Episode aired Nov 11, 1968.
One of my most favorite episodes of another one of my favorite tv shows, "Family Affair". Eve was such a professional, and the best little actress ever😊

She would go on to make some great appearances on "The Love Boat" as well.
Eve was the most expressive of all the kids she was great better than the other kids.
Sure, Jan…
Eve had the most experience out of all the kids plus she did the voice over of Lucy on the Charlie Brown cartoons I believe
No she wasn’t. Not by a long shot. Barry Williams was by far the best. I love Eve, but she was super awkward.
I agree, Eve was the best actress/actor among the kids.I think the others overacted a bit.
@@bluepuppydan That was Pamelyn Ferdin, who played Lucy, Jan's friend, in the episode when Jan bought and wore that hideous black wig. Perhaps the name "Lucy" was chosen on purpose for that episode?
Her acting was so natural
No it wasn’t. Not in this episode anyway.
I was a baby in the Brady Bunch Era but this show is very near and dear to my heart ❤ there will never be another show like this
Well if that wasn't the sweetest thing ever 🥰
I had such a crush on Jan growing up. So pretty and that long beautiful hair 🤩
I'll tell you whats funny I'm the same age as Jan and I never watched this show as a kid.Now I'm sixty five years old and watch these episodes and I love it. Every episode has moral and love behind it.

It’s a beautiful house, Mid Century Modern is my favourite too.
Let’s not forget the “ loco weed” to go with the wallpaper 😂
Its kind of a modified split level. It also seemed so California at the time.
also who in their right mind wants to live in CA these days. it's a dystopian nightmare
"Sometimes Marcia bosses me around" LMAO! Understatement of the entire series!

Very touching. Alice might have been a tad cheesy but Ann B. Davis was a good actress and played the role beautifully.
That sitcom seems so adorable to me when I watch The Brady Bunch at the age of 11.
That's how old I was when I first watched it back in the day.
Loved jan as a teenager
Oh hell yeah, same here, I loved her so much!😍
This is my absolute favorite moment of the entire show. The one time Alice was more than a housekeeper and sharing something special with Jan. As a middle child, I could relate with Jan when I was little.
I thought that Jan was the funniest during the first season. She had some sass in her.
Oh my beautiful little licket❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂 I am glad Jan found it
Mike might have had the most book smarts, but Alice had the most wisdom.
In real life, Ann B. Davis attended the University of Michigan as a pre-med major!
Ann B. Davis may have been the highest paid actor on the show, even though she plays a maid making near minimum wage.
Ann B. Davis won two consecutive Emmy Awards as Best Supporting Actress in a tv show in the 1950'S. She was a great comedic and dramatic actress!
Yup, for "The Bob Cummings Show". She had been pretty much out of commission after that until she was chosen for the role of Alice. She was the most devoted cast member to "The Brady Bunch" and later said how she wished the show had stayed on for a few more years.
Another touching warm hearted brady moment😢
It took Mike and Carol a whole second to get there
Well ... that's a relief.
For a minute there, I thought Jan was going to discover that her secret admirer was me.
I'm a middle kid. And as a middle kid, it's easy to feel overlooked and nothing special. This episode helped me put what I was feeling into words.
"I want to keep a secret just between the two of us." Well, that line would not fly today
It would, depending on the rest of the storyline.
As a middle child, this episode has always resonated with me ❤
I’m a middle too I get it!
Was it possible then or now to see the Little Bear or any constellation of stars through the smog in the San Fernando Valley?
It was if you were Jan Brady
An imaginary secret admirer? George Glass?
The amount of butter Alice is putting on that toast!
It was the 70's.
Ah the sound of paper ivy outside the window
And the lawn grass made of green felt!
Ah, the sound of Bobby mowing the fake grass.@@nassauguy48
As a first Generation American, Middle child, I had no Idea what a “locket” was until this episode.
I’m a middle 🧒 too. I fall between David and Amy.
Heartwarming!! 😮😮😊
I remember being that stupid about everything at that age.
Funny how life, and growing up changes people.
Is why Alice was endeared to brady bunch fans this episode
Ann B Davis who played Alice, had a twin sister in real life
I know, I'd like to see her twin dressed as Alice to see if we could tell she was a different person
Alice said that her typewriter has a date with a screwdriver. Yeah, she’s gotta fix it from dropping it’s “y” before the rest of the family discovers it. They were trying to find the typewriter that drops it’s “y” to find out who sent Jan the locket.

I was thinking about that episode after I watched this.
Today it would be a 45 year old man Jan would be talking with😂
Jan should have been grounded for causing such a great disturbance in the house
Aren’t the bedrooms on the second floor?
pretty sure. I haven't watched too much of the show but I think the first floor has the family room, mike's den, the kitchen, and the (living?) room with the door that leads to the outside. I believe all of the bedrooms are on the second floor.
Is Mourine still alive?
Yes, just the parents and Alice are gone.
Al the Brady kids are still living, however they are getting up in age. Four of them were born in the 1950s.
It's spelled Maureen 🙃
I'm in my mid 20's, and even at 67, I'd still give it to Maureen lol.
Gladly, yes, but man, a surprise when considering how she had once abused herself.
GREAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTT NEWS MR. Gaydy!
This was sweet but I can't help but feel a little sad when Alice was saying to Jan, "You and Peter are the middle children, but Peter's a boy so it doesn't really matter in his case" I mean seriously , poor Peter lol Judging from the boys' dynamic, Peter probably feels the same rejection, Greg is the COOL one, and Bobby is always quit the drama king, always going though some drama and getting everyone's attention, I imagine Peter feels overlooked too
Peter was the cutest one though so he had that.
The Partridge Family did not have a middle daughter.
I love Robert reed in his blue robe it makes him look sexy
3:38 Why did Alice abruptly end the hug? Seems like it made her uncomfortable or something.
...It DID....Alice indicated to Jan that she was a 'Middle Child' also, who doesn't get the respect, recognition, acknowledgement...or, LOVE...that Younger / Older siblings get....She wanted to do this for Jan, knowing it would make her feel LOVED.....something, Alice HERSELF wished she once had...... I'm a 62 year old male crying watching a Brady Bunch clip on a work day.
the way people use to be. nice to each other.
my last name is brady will anyone would sue me
😂😂😂
You'd have to be nuts to make up a story like this.
She's in the middle!
if this came out these days, alice would be canceled for 'grooming'
Jan was a loser
