Mike Brady helps Marcia with a cooking project for school -- and learns it's tougher than it looks! #BradyBunch | Now streaming on Paramount+ Where to watch: para.mt/BradyBunch
Nothing beats these first season comedy scenes! They were all so natural and I'm sorry Robert Reed thought this was just silly (Reed thought no one could actually slip on eggs until he did it by accident in rehearsal) but no one else could have been the perfect father for these three girls and this scene proves it. 🤗
The comedy scenes were what really killed Robert Reed because despite how funny he was able to be, he hated being silly. He was always saying, "Sherwood, I'm a serious actor, I am not a comedian!" and Sherwood would say like, "Well, I'm sorry Bob but you signed a contract so you have no choice. Now make it funny."
@@alexanderpytko5394Yeah it seemed like he was a little high maintenance with certain things and wasn't flexible when it came to this roll. I'm not sure but I read somewhere he wasn't in the last episode because he didn't like the story line, just unbelievable you would think you want to be there for the ending.
Another thing to look out for like Easter eggs was the way the kids between season one and two would wear hand me downs - or at least versions of something else that fit the younger one! In this episode the floral blouse Jan is wearing looks like the one Cindy wore in season two!
I agree first of all he should’ve grabbed the first three items put them on the shelf the counter I should say then grab one more item and then hold the eggs carefully I mean, my goodness gracious she folded the damn eggs and it’s gonna fall, but I’ll tell you you can see the kids just loved him season one was as good as it gets I mean just a fantastic show
If Robert Reed had an issue with anything, it should have been that Marcia reached the age of 13 basically without knowing what an electric mixer was. Every kid in the 60s and 70s either used one to help their mom make cakes or watched their mom use one. And then got to lick the beaters.
Mike, you're half right. The proper way to mix that is with an electric mixer but with the mixer set at the PROPER speed. Always read settings on the speed knob for what you're mixing first.
Alice: Careful, Mr. Brady, I stacked a lot things up there. Perhaps Alice's cousin Emma could show her the PROPER to organize a cabinet so that doesn't happen.

I agree I grew up in the late 70s 80s. I’ve never seen green paper towels but I’ll tell you you walked in that house in 1969. That was one nice house especially the living room. The only thing it lacked was a really good TV room to all hang out watch movies obviously didn’t have VHS in those days. People don’t realize in 1970 you had a landline and, small TV or maybe a one on four legs that’s best you could do you don’t miss you never had
At 2:13 the father with the worst attempt at comedy literally yanking all the plates purposely down to the floor. If anybody is laughing it should be at the director for allowing the scene to stick.

@raea3588, yes, but he loved those kids as if they had been his. So, there’s that.

@@alexanderpytko5394 He knew it was a sitcom!
The way Marcia tries to help Mike back up from the floor when he just got up himself Lol 😂.
Mike is amazing and so are the green paper towels.

Me too I just love it so much it's looks like
I love this show!!! I would watch it growing up... It has great values. That what parents instill in you ..... ❤❤❤❤...
Green paper towel 😂
Mike literally used that egg box like it was an accordion. What did he expect?

She knows what it is she just never used one.
So, did the BOYS know how😅
But most of us didn't have live in help. By 13 we could make dessert or a simple meal for the family. Our moms trained us
Spot on!!!
Maybe they used the spoon instead of the

The main reason boys should learn how to cook.
....man, Robert Reed did not PLAY during those stunts! (0:28) (1:50) (2:09)...all those sharp CORNERS around him, too, eeeeek....
Mike: I'll clean the mess up. And with the proper sense of male organization it shouldn't take me more than... 2 days.
🤣
Good show , very wholesome

Ikr 😄👏👏👏
Hup two, three, four organize that kitchen drawer! 🤣
I'm on a brady binge. Make life easier for women....have fun saying that now.
2:11 hahaha
I mean what’d he think would happen ?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Where did they buy green paper towels?
The 1960s lol
I'm nearly 60. I'm old enough to remember colored toilet paper, but I don't recall anything but white paper towels.@@stonewallperformance
@Lava1964, 🤷🏻♀️, but we had colored toilet paper and facial tissues.

I figured Mike would have been more efficient in the kitchen; especially with his lil apron on.
I want to buy green paper towels
Hmm, in the scene that follows the blender mishap, nobody's clothing seems to have been splattered by the mess.
Why didn't Mike design in a built in dishwasher?
Home models didn’t exist back then
@@wgcds7jyg897LOL of course they did. They just weren't as common. Prices came down a lot in the 80s.
Mike should've realized that Marcia's arms weren't big enough to carry all of those things

Mike if u open the fridge and take out everything u need from it all at once I’ll drop everything stupid
Mike's yellow apron was hideous
AHHHHHH
Great scene but every time he made one of his sexist comments I wanted to slap him!
Alice probably felt the same. 😆
Any more sexist wisecracks there, Dad?? I think I counted 5.
Him man he don’t know
