- What's up everybody? I started the rebuild on the rear calipers, unfortunately, the non-chlorinated brake cleaner eats away at painted and powder-coated surfaces, and the chlorinated brake cleaner isn't available in California. I used compressed air and both a plastic bristle brush, and a brass bristle brush to clean them out. Hopefully I can have these fully rebuilt soon. Thanks for watching I'll see you tomorrow:)

You mentioned it, but in case no one watches deep. The snap rings should be put in after the piston and dust seal are seated.

Sorry brotha, I don't remember off hand. I can't believe they'd be anything more than 55-60 ft lbs. But you should be able to find them in the FSM
Impressive, my man! You know what matters when buying these calipers? I see plenty of rebuilt for cheap.. cardone for example, and I see ppl buying old, beat up used one's for crazy money. Why? Any advice, I'd appreciate. Pretty sure they don't make counterfeit. There is no market for it.
Honestly, it's all up to the individual, and what they're willing to spend. The rebuilt ones are generally cheaper seals, but overall pretty much the same. I just went with OEM because I value my brakes lol
@@fullthrottleperformance yeah, so I heard after looking into it. Cheap parts and quality control is nonexistent with some of these skumbags. It's amazing. Probably grab a set on ebay or something. I'm gonna clean them up and paint them. If you get lucky not much more money than remans anyway. Thx for input.
So basically, if you bought used or ramans you would open them up anyway to make sure or rebuilt them yourself like this vid? I just need you to rebuild them for me and I'll be alright. Lol. Doesn't look that hard, but I never did anything like that. I'm lucky I can install the fkn brakes.
I got some brembos that need power coat and rebuilding. Would you do this a service?
If I had the powder coating equipment, I would do it no problem. I might get the equipment in the near future. If I do, I'll come back and let you know:)

They call them splitter turnbuckles and/or splitter struts.
You should get the hardware zinc coated

Hint: When making a UA-cam video stick to the context of your video, we don't care about your bumper swap or the condition of them. We don't care about the water problem in your airline, use a oil and water separator, we don't care what you had for lunch. What we DO care about is the disassembly and reassembly of the calipers which you sped up the video to the point this whole video is USELESS!
