That's badass and way better than most dumb crap people give out. That would be an awesome gift to get, something you can and will use for years and years to come.
damn.this was a lot of work! you can read thousands of pages in forums, click through the manufacturer's website, but this, this!!! is more than anyone can offer to really show how a blade performs, what it can do, how it feels. youtube. great job using this platform as advertisement and educate people about your products. it's worth it. all those awesome people in this community - just fantastic! liked/tweeted!
lemme just say that as a student of visualization, the combination between art and tech, with studies in animation, video, and graphic design, i really appreciate the production value of your videos.
Oh man - this knife is at the top of my list for knives that I would *love* to own. I've never participated in anything like this before, so here's hoping that I win!
Useful as a back-up while hiking/camping but also as a concealed EDC as a neck knife. For my bud in the Caribbean..(hello Clark) you can carry a neck knife wearing speedos!
Field test for IZULA !!! Wow that's how you should do guys ! It's not cutting paper or carving wood log like someone else done ! IZULA is on my wish-list and on BladeHQ is my #1 store for buying knives !!! Love your videos ! Always bringing Fun to people! Excellent job for Professional people like you guys ! Keep ii up ! ONE LIFE - ONE KNIFE- One KnifeStore: Blade HQ .
Thanks for a thorough going over of the good , bad & ugly of the knife. This affords me the luxury of making an informed decision instead of having to return something that work 4me.
Old vid apparently but I was SO stoked to find this on BHQ's website... As always Cr0cket, great stuff, glad BHQ was smart enough to use real outdoorsmen like yourself to test/demo their products like this.
Great vid and comp Gents, Liked, Shared the link on ABF (Aussie Blade Forums) thank you for opening it up to Internationals (all Fixed blades are legal to import into Australia). Cr0cket is such an awesome guy, knows his stuff on blades and the outdoors, great testing and shows the abilities of the Izula. Best wishes Lads and good to all who enter!
I've been wanting to buy this knife for a while, and seeing it used out in the field just makes me want to buy it more, heck if I don't win the drawing I'll buy it anyways.
Love my IZULA EDC , bought it from you guys @ Blade HQ ... looks like I need an Izula 2. Liked the video and sent it to my grandson, very informative, thank you.
Love Esee knives. The Esee 4 is also a great knife to carry in you outdoor adventures!! Nice kydex with the 4. They are all solid simple design blades.
Been thinking about this knife for a small carry blade. Love Esee products too. I already own a Laser Strike and looking at the 4 for a camp knife. Good products!
Just ordered one now. I just got the Esee 6 a month ago. I have plenty of folders but if I want to pry just a bit or put any stress on it, freaks me out. Never had a smaller fixed blade of ant quality. Long wait now for the 3 days til it arrives. Lol. Think it’ll be great hiking carry for this and that. Little more substantial than leatherman blade for hiking.
Looks into the white river m1 caper. I edc one everyday think you would like it. For a large one the esse6 is nice I got one from the knife connection that was customized.
Liked and shared. Good to know the 2 has a slightly longer handle. I've been thinking of getting a smaller blade like a Candiru or an Izula and this vid is helpful.
4:09 ~ "That's pretty good." _Okay.... So we all just ignore the blood and the fresh cut on your hand after you got done doing that? I love ESEE knives. I have too many to keep track of. Just put custom G-10 handles on my Izula. I recommend ESEE knives to others. But yeah, if you end up with a cut on the back of your hand that could possibly get infected; I don't consider that to be "pretty good."_
Does Blade HQ ship to Australia? I hope so. I'm keen to start trialling some fixed blade EDC 'office' knives, and you guys seem to have a good attitude when it comes to your customers. Unfortunately Australian sellers don't seem to stock knives and, in stead, order a knife from over seas when an order comes through, leaving the customer waiting weeks for a knife.
Agree 100%, when i saw your video i though, man.. the quality is amazing, how different could it be with those cameras (Ben's).... but now i see that those cameras capture awesome shots than a go pro can't handle (don't take it to the wrong way, i love goPros videos). I use a DSLR for my videos, but I'm still in the learning process. Anyway, i love to see youtubers interact... you guys are amazing! Be safe out there! PS: I want one of those ribs pack... they seems to be awesome!
Would love to win this to give to my son for his birthday! Nice looking knife. I've got the Junglas which I love!! I've really been impressed with ESEE knives.
I loved this blade! I ended up losing it on a hiking trip. Even though we looked for it the following day, we had to leave without it! Ruined my whole trip! Would love to be able to get another but my financial situation sucks! Thanks for the cool video!
I'm a girlwoodsman..and I love the compactness and how light it is and so functional for me. It fits in my small Frame hands so well. I trust it to dress out my turkeys and deer. Us twin girls.. hntr chx. Sure hope I win an izula for my twin sister ❤ we will be 60 in June!
Greetings, I got 1 question in comparison of the Izula 1 and Izula 2. Not sure if you have an Izula 1 to compare with this 2, but here goes. Does the Izula 2 have all that material cut outs underneath the handles, I notice the Izula 1 does, and that being said, I like it better for a blade to be full tang and not with a lot of material cut or or even a rat tail tang, to me, more material makes it a stronger overall blade. Thank you Kindly.
Hrmmm, thus far I am happy with my esee product purchases, I can't vouch for the Izula, but from what one cna gather from your tests, it's fairly evident they do the job. The heat treat on Esee knives is very solid from what I've seen, though that comes with only working with 1095 (Which my Esee 6 has began to petina on the blade due to the humid fluctuating climate that is Michigan)
this a cool video, i liked how the izula 2 handled the field test as a back up, im looking to purchase an esee knife dont know witch one yet i personally just go out fishing and hiking alot so i could use a sweet cool neck knife, i hope im the lucky winner of the izula2. thanks for the video.
I bought my groomsmen this knife as a wedding gift. they loved it. 1 year later and they all still carry them.
TittyWinks excellent knife and great gift idea. I like your story.
That's badass and way better than most dumb crap people give out. That would be an awesome gift to get, something you can and will use for years and years to come.
Awesome gift,so much better than most gifts I’ve received..lol
I also gave all my groomsman different knives. Each different to kinda fit them. It's always great when i see them using them.
I get a kick out of seeing skills I've learned over the years being used and can't wait to try new ones that I learn from you guys.
Little by little I'm collecting the entire ESEE line. Awesome quality blades!
11 years on now, did you get them all?
damn.this was a lot of work! you can read thousands of pages in forums, click through the manufacturer's website, but this, this!!! is more than anyone can offer to really show how a blade performs, what it can do, how it feels. youtube. great job using this platform as advertisement and educate people about your products. it's worth it. all those awesome people in this community - just fantastic!

Just learning about knives and found this extremely educational, especially out in the field.

Looks like a great little knife! I've been looking for a back up blade for a little bit now and I think I've found it! Thanks for the contests.
These videos rock. Glad ya'll are still around.
This is a great work horse!!! I use mine everyday !!! Defiantly worth the money !!!! I'm in!!!
Useful as a back-up while hiking/camping but also as a concealed EDC as a neck knife.

These things are super robust and incredibly sharp!!!
Thank you for the chance to win this awesome fixed blade, BladeHQ ROCKS! And yes I always read the description boxes :)
Thanks for a thorough going over of the good , bad & ugly of the knife. This affords me the luxury of making an informed decision instead of having to return something that work 4me.
Liked and Shared! Never owned an ESEE, but looks like a solid knife! Thanks for taking the time to film and edit this video. Great, great editing!

Your field test vids are awesome, just like the Izula.
Love my IZULA EDC , bought it from you guys @ Blade HQ ... looks like I need an Izula 2. Liked the video and sent it to my grandson, very informative, thank you.
Looks like a great knife to have as back up and to handle smaller tasks.
Done and done love esee knives they are a good front runner for some great strong dependable knives! Made in America!
Nicely produced video and good review of the ESEE Izula 2. This knife seems like an ideal complement to a larger survival knife.
great vid , the izula 2 has been on my wishlist for a long time. thanx for the chance to win.
I’m actually happy to see!!! Tundra like climate blade test! This MN fella is proud!
Love Esee knives. The Esee 4 is also a great knife to carry in you outdoor adventures!! Nice kydex with the 4. They are all solid simple design blades.

lol I love the ending. The late boy scout in pink haha... Good vid, I'm not sure if I wand to go with this, or the Izula 1... Thanks!
Wand?

Liked and shared. Good to know the 2 has a slightly longer handle. I've been thinking of getting a smaller blade like a Candiru or an Izula and this vid is helpful.
Simple. Effective. A really down to earth blade. Shared & Liked!
Awesome vid! Test video's always help me make descisions when knife shopping.
I like the looks of that knife, I own an ESEE 3 and just love it.
4:09 ~ "That's pretty good."

I carry my izula every day along with one of my kershaw folders. Its just a bit big for EDC but I manage and love it.
This is an awesome knife. A great backup for any occasion.
I like the styling and ergo of the ESEE knives. I currently have the ESEE 4 and love the thing! This would be an awesome one to add to the collection!

This is the best review on the Izula knife that I have seen on You Tube.Great job Crocket.
Great vid! I've been planning on making this my next fixed blade purchase for a while. A perfect compliment to my Ka-Bar survival kit (see vid).

Great video, excellent demo. love the Izula 2.
Great back up blade! Small but very strong.
cool lil knife and a nice giveaway, Thanks Blade HQ and Crocket
I wonder if he prefers bigger knives or not
I loved this blade! I ended up losing it on a hiking trip. Even though we looked for it the following day, we had to leave without it! Ruined my whole trip! Would love to be able to get another but my financial situation sucks! Thanks for the cool video!
It should have a lifetime warranty so u can get a free replacement because ESEE usually gives lifetime warranties for all their knives.
Michael Tarantolo I don't think it applies to lost or stolen items just broken.
Liked and shared, Ben, glad you made it out alive and with your camera gear! Great knife, great giveaway, great vid.
I'm a girlwoodsman..and I love the compactness and how light it is and so functional for me. It fits in my small Frame hands so well. I trust it to dress out my turkeys and deer.

man cant stop watching this video, so cool. great test,
Looks exactly like what I'm looking for in an EDC knife!
Awsome video love all the new editing.
I've had one of these for about a year. It's capabilities are definitely out of proportion to its size.
Love the knife...fantastic way to demo its capabilities!
Out of all the testing he did with this blade everyone is crying about the tangerine torture test. Trolls.
That’s not what a troll is. But you did get trolled, because you responded to their comments
Awesome video... the Izula 2 is on my wishlist. Anyways thanks for chance and good luck to everyone!
Great video as always, love Blade HQ & Crocket20, have a good one guys!
Another good field test as usual.
Super jelly I couldn't join you and Crocket. Looked super fun.
I learned a LOT by watching this video. Thank you for the time you put into filming and editing it.
Liked, shared on FB, and a hearty thumbs up! Great job guys!
Blade hq was years ahead of its time.
Morning... I was hoping to know the Make of waist Pouch/Backpack system that you used in the video as the ESEE Izula carried so well on it.
andy da That it a Ribz pack: www.bladehq.com/cat--Ribz--1420
Great review of a great blade.....Love my ESEE blades & great company to deal with !!

Very solid general use knife to compliment a 4” hunting knife when in the bush or the upland.
