When I was 5 years old my aunt gave me this movie as a present for Christmas on vcr I watched it so many times and still do every year a couple of times I’m 27 now I love this movie so much
the movie was made post-Asian financial crisis & SARS with struggling economy and a depressing society, but Chow managed to made the film with low budget, and finally getting people laugh again. A breath of fresh air.
This is August 2023 and not only this episode, with Stephen Chow in the limelight but the entire film Shaolin Soccer continues to be exceedingly electrifying, enormously exciting, exceptionally exotic, exquisitely entertaining & exceptionally exclusive. ❤❤
All initial three goals are actually very plausible. The Shaolin guys just need to score as long as the opposing team are not protecting their goal posts.
This is peak 2000's. If the creatively bankrupt movie industry wants to remake a movie they should at least do this one with more modern effects but don't change ANYTHING else. Then again the effects add to its charm so maybe we shouldn't touch it.
well, its not glued, hes kung fu technique can suck the ball to his stomach, so i guess its legal, but when he got pulled down and crawls in to the goal his arm was touching the ball, so technically it would be a foul there.
