*I am a diabetic. Last two times before blood sugar checking I followed this meal which is also my regular diet :: 1and 1/2 cup rice, one boiled karela, one type of vegetable curry and salad. My blood test result:: Fasting sugar :82, PP: 76. HbA1c ::5.9. It was nearly same last time.*
*I regularly practise Yoga and use to walk in the morning three days/week nearly 3km/day.*
*Conclusion ::Eat seasonal vegetables,balanced foods and do exercise.*
*I don't know what is the advantages of millets. May be there are huge benefits. But I follow those meals which I am habituated to take every day throughout my life. Just I stop taking several packaged foods, fast foods, etc. which I was earlier eating.*
Since 6years I am using millet. Previously I am diabet patient. After using millet my Hba1c is 5.9 yesterday I have checked kidney liver hemoglobin readings are normal I am 79 yers old after using the mllets l am in good health riding car scooter I'm not using sugar rice. Wheat coffee tea milk only millet and season wise fruits vegetables and Desi cows mik curds palm jaggery.

Dear Doctor, thanks for your nice presentation. I myself did 2 month course of 5 sridhanya millets . My HBA1C came from 6.7 to 5.9. Even my doctor is surprised. Regime is like this - No dairy, sugar, Rice, Wheat and Meat thats all. You will get back your bountiful life back with no strings attached. No meds even. Just to forget my BP came from 140/92 to 112/74. point i am trying to convey its not one time millet will change something. But disciplined regimen gives result in guranteed 90 days
One of my acquaintances brought his HBA1C count from 8.5 to 6.0 in just 2 months. Leaving Sugar, Rice and Wheat. I can attach his medical report. He is taking amli made from sridhanya millets(brown top, foxtail, kodo, little and foxtail millet). I cannot add images of his report on this else I could have done it.

For any positive millet, make sure you soak for 8 hours and do not cook in cooker, use open vessel and cook on low flame. Do not add ghee or Salt when you are cooking. Always take double quantity of veg curry of cooked millet. You can also eat with curd (curd made of desi cow milk). I ate kodo millet with Rajma ( cooked without oil) in dinner and next day morning fasting sugar was 92. Diabetes is lifestyle disease and it can be easily reversed. You should do regular yoga and walking. Eat your dinner early (btw 6pm to 8 pm), lunch around 11am to 12 pm. No grain before lunch (just take salad or fruits till your lunch)

Millets also contain carbohydrates like wheat and rice: the difference is that millets contain upto 12.5% of fiber, as against wheat and rice which contain about 0.5% to 0.1%respectively. Due to the high content of good fiber in millets, the glucose is released very slowly in stages and there is no sugar spike. Also a very small amount of millet gives sataity and one will not feel hungry for a long time making the calories consumed considerably less. One should eat only millets for at least 3 months before coming to any conclusion.

What your saying is wrong. If I compare foxtail millet it contains 9 gm fibre and aashirwad wheat atta contains around 10.4 gm atta
So wheat contains more fibre than millet in this case. In case of maida fibre content will be less than millet. Please check the backside label then you will find out. From where did you get the information wheat contains 0.5 percentage fibre. It is wrong. Please read the label before coming to such conclusion.
Often labels are misleading
You are already prediabitic. While taking millets, your insulin is already at 116 and eating any carbohydrate will increase blood sugar. For digestion needs al least 5 hours if you are doing labour work and minimum 6 to 7 hours if you are doing office type work. The correct way of eating millet is include green veggies . The sugar level will not increase. The meal should have 25% protein (cooked dal), 15% green Veggie salad and 25% cooked vegetable and remaining 35% millets. The blood sugar level certainly will be positive.

Many seller salling polished millets rather than unpolished, pl use polished by soking over night and change millets by using two days
Millets are to convert into glucose take 5 to 6 hours. How your blood sugar will increase within 2 hours.It surprising.
I am diabetic , I have personally checked my blood sugar after taking millets in breakfast was 116 (fasting sugar was 96). I am running 69 years.

I tried sridhanya millets for 3 months and when I started my hb1ac was 5.9 and after 3 months my Hb1Ac was still 5.9 but I lost 8-9 kg of weight.

In normal form of a human being even he is not Diabetic can go upto 300 mg , and body has rights to control the same but I m not able to digest your statement when you have full of sugar team in morning and in afternoon you had Fiber diet which has reduced sugar and your blood sugar rise up ????? I have been eating millets for the past 3 years. I have a balance meal with equal quantity of millet ( grain) , protein Dal or legumes), vegetables and salad and my sugar levels are always below 160. So its not the millets which are a problem, but the wrong proportion of grain and salad, and absence of protein.
