Did mine in 10 minutes tops with your video. Sweet! JUST MAKE SURE THE HOOD IS ALWAYS SECURED PROPERLY. YOU NO LONGER USE THE WEIGHT OF THE HOOD TO CLOSE IT SO YOU HAVE TO PUSH DOWN. THAT WOULD BE AN EXPENSIVE DANGEROUS ACCIDENT IF THE HOOD FLIPPED OPEN BECAUSE IT WASN'T CLOSED ALL THE WAY. Thank you for the idea and instruction.
Really like the style and pace of your video. I really appreciate you sharing your experiences and view on the CX-30 as a long term owner. I just ordered mine and cannot wait to have mine delivered,
Pretty straight forward install. Nice! Hood struts are an odd thing. Kia has them on many models but Honda is notorious for no struts. Camry’s use to have them but I think they even ditched them.
This is a great video. Thanks for sharing this. I think this will be a nice and easy upgrade to my CX30 when it arrives in a few months. I wonder if they have one like this for the Mazda 5.
Stuff like this should be standard equipment, considering how bulky the hoods are on these vehicles. Instead, automakers choose to make certain tech-bloat & features that a lot of people don't even want standard instead. Go figure.
What's the coolest DIY job you've heard of for the CX-30? Leave a comment!
Adding the Front Grill Mesh Inserts Trims Front Grille Guard makes the car look complete. Without it, the car looks like it’s not complete.
@@jorgegil9961 Link, please.
@@jorgegil9961 I agree!

Just got done installing the struts on my bo$$ a$$ CX-30. Thanks for the vid, the instruction sheet that came with it was anything but helpful.

Hi James! I did it on my CX-30. Awesome upgrade
Just ordered a set. Had to do this to my Mustang GT also.
how did you remove the circle piece from 2:05? i spent 10 minutes using different tools and force and was unable to get it off.
any drawback 2 years down the line after installing it?
Excellent video James champion! Great help! 👋👋👋👋👋😊😊😊😊😊
hood struts are such a game changer.
which "game charger"? 🤣 one of most useless stuff.
installed redline brand made in usa a little more expensive but much better and easier install.
Did you have link for this item?
Hi, do you have the amazon link to this item prepared for the new Mazda 3 BP ?
Doing this on my cx-30 also thanks for the video
Where did you get them from
I must have those.
Does the hood ever pop open when it's not supposed to with this installed?
Damn man you retarded huh? Like, wow, you could drown in a glass of water, huh??
nice!!!
Lol. You open Mazda's hood so rarely, so you don't need this 😂
Alsome upgrate very ice
Dude, how do you get your partner to agree on the money you spend on cars 😆
I'm still wondering about that myself!

most owners never open their hoods, so easy place to cut costs where it isn't noticed.
Every pound counts towards improving MPG, so automakers are keen to remove them.
Cammon pal! That "cresant" wrench is a combination wrench, and that 9 over 16 is called a 9-16th. Please know your tools so you dont sound silly!
Or that it is spelled "crescent wrench"
Dang...you didn't show the struts actually working.
This is shown in *literally* the first second of the video…
