- John Prine playing at the McDonald Theatre in Eugene, OR on 9/12/11. This was definitely on of the high points of my summer for sure! Full review of the show will be posted at Concertconfessions.com. Copyright Note: I do not own this video. This is used only for entertainment purposes.
Still my favorite version of this song. Johnny please live forever xoxox
We all so hoped..
JP sang this song better than anyone ever. He owns this song. Cover better than original is rare. JP did it.
😢😢😢 Gosh I loved so much about this Man. Treasure the gift of your music you gave to this Big Wide World.❤️
Hi there
The only person i like better than myself is John Prine. But it's damn close!
John Prine, a down to earth guy who gives it to you straight,
Like sunlight through the trees in the forest. Shine On, John.
He did .😢
I was turned on to Mr. Prine in 1991 while working in New Zealand.
It was a life changing moment.
Love his music.
Have for the last 30 years
Rip john
Apparently all three people in the world who don’t like this classic Rowland Salley tune covered by John Prine have found their way here and given it a thumbs down.
Hard to imagine anyone not loving this masterpiece.
I go to this bar around the corner. (so i can walk). First thing I do is drop a $5 in the jukebox and play some Prine songs. I love it when when people walk up and see who's singing this GREAT SHIZZ
Such a beautiful song, sung by a master.
Oh my heart. 💙☔
Great version of an incredible song.
It took a long time for me to find out that this wasn't one Prine's own. It just sounds so much like a lot of his stuff --- and that's high praise.
I heard this song for the first time as a kid off of shawn colvins cover girl album. I always liked it but never really listened to the lyrics till one afternoon while I was jogging it just popped up on my ipod. When I got home I had to fined out what amazing soulful artist wrote this song :) it totally clicked! John Prine what a gift to music
It’s not his.❤️ it’s my uncles😢
Rowland Salley, the bass player in Chris Isaak's band, actually wrote this song.
