If you are using MobileTrans to transfer data between two devices, backing the device up is not necessary. Even if the messages are not backed up, the data will transfer through the service successfully.
Bro when u choose back-up that means you'll need to have all the messages and media on youre phone already. So if u have all chats and all why the hell you need back up. @@palakkothari7095 Yes you can restore your chat using the app that this guy talks about which is paid one. You need to take a 1 year subscription of 20$ equivalent amount. But you should check how much data is backed up there (e.g. MB) by logging in into the app with you gmail id where your backups are. Because in my case it was showing that 0 kb is backed up. So I could not restore my chats I don't know what happened my chats are just gone forever.
Keep in mind that if people don't have a backup in drive they would loose it every chat. You have to check if you have back up every time you need to do anything wired.

Hey there, it is impossible to recover the encrypted backup without remembering the password. Even if you change the password, the encrypted backup will remain inaccessible because it is encrypted with your old password.

What about if it continues to ask for a password and you've forgotten that password? I'm going around in circles here. I backed it all up to icloud before changing the phone. Hey there, it is impossible to recover the encrypted backup without remembering the password. Even if you change the password, the encrypted backup will remain inaccessible because it is encrypted with your old password.

(By mistakes on all the blank chats ) then I Uninstalled and reinstalled whatsapp app.. and nothing came up... bec my last backup was nothing ..bec the chats were all ready blank.... anyway to get a previous whatapp back up???? Hi there, that's sad to hear that you lost your WhatsApp chats but don't worry; if you have backed up your WhatsApp chat before this issue, you can easily recover your chats. Just check the WhatsApp files in your device's File Manager and delete the backup of the blank chats you created recently, and only leave the old backup with proper data. After this, set up your WhatsApp again, and your old backup with complete chats will be detected by WhatsApp to restore automatically.

But every once in a while, I have this notification while WhatsApp goes to a halt that my messages are being backed up. I just do not know what is going on. Also, once I delete a chat, would it also be deleted from my drive? I use an Android.

If your WhatsApp data was stored in iCloud, it is definitely possible to restore data from a couple of months ago. Here's how you can do it:
1. Make sure you have a backup of your WhatsApp data on iCloud from the time period you want to restore.
2. Uninstall WhatsApp from your device.
3. Reinstall WhatsApp and verify your phone number.
4. During the setup process, WhatsApp will ask if you want to restore your chat history. Tap "Restore" and wait for the process to complete.
