Just cleared the game yesterday. My first Zelda game ever was BOTW then went to TOTK. After clearing the two with almost 800 hour between the two, Awakening was a breath of fresh air. Such an amazing game!
I want to own every Zelda game on the Switch. They need to release a Wind Waker / Twilight Princess HD two pack port from the Wii U and it's time for Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask to get the HD remakes that they deserve. I really hope the rumor that Nintendo plans a major Zelda release every year for the remainder of the Switches life cycle is true
I hadn't heard that rumor, but just last night I went on the "news" feature on my Switch and there was an article called... hold on I bet it's still there... it's titled "Get to know Link and his many adventures!" and it proceeds to list every Zelda game. There are 18 listed, and that excludes a few remasters and mobile type games (and the non-canon ones from Phillips CD-i). I think there's more than enough material to do so, but would we get tired of paying 60 dollars for unoriginal content? Particularly if it's just a remaster, I think 40-50 is a better price point, even for a first party title.
Twilight princess wind waker is next year with link to past remake. The year breath of wild 2 comes out we also get the minish cap remake. We are getting two zelda games a year now here on out.
They just did a Windwaker remake on the WiiU so I'd be surprised if they do another for the Switch so soon. They redid Majoras Mask for 3DS so I'd also be surprised if they redid that so soon but I haven't heard of an Ocarina of Time remake! Wish they'd do all of them though

"If you're one of the people who felt that BOTW gave you too much freedom and didn't feel enough like Zelda" I mean, personally it wasn't the exploration but the dungeons that really killed the Zelda vibe for me. Zelda thrives most on its dungeons and BOTW's dungeons were rough. But anyway, lovely review, excited for the game!!!

Great game, but not worth $60 when you can buy the original for $6 on 3DS. This version only changes graphics and updates small things about gameplay. The Crash N Sane trilogy included 3 remade games that are newer and that only cost $40.
Obviously this is years old, but for anybody watching this now, one huge drawback is the price. Even four years later, this game still costs an astounding $60 unless you find it on sale. Love this channel. My only criticism (and other online reviewers) is that the majority of your review gives too much away with the story and plot. We as players can find this out. Keep it minimal like the old skool magazines 👍. I'd prefer to hear more about gameplay
OperaticDary Well considering there’s almost nothing to a plot and whatever plot there was was already spoiled off by Nintendo with the marketing + this game is well old enough, it’s almost impossible to avoid. I think they covered the gameplay for 90% of the review anyway.

This is how I'd imagine Link coming from the Gameboy games. He was always cute looking in them, rather then the handsome knight they make him in the other console games.
@@jonperez12344 This is where I would disagree. Because he did not look cute in the intro cut scene that is not how I pictured him throughout the game. He was distorted because of the limitations of the system but he was not depicted as a giant-headed cartoon character.

I don’t get it. How are you getting such solid frames? My game plays like a stuttering mess. Are you playing it off your system memory or a card?
I really wish they made use of the dpad so you didn't have to go into the menu to switch ur equipment. Seems like a waste of real estate and a missed opportunity.
Well this is my first Zelda game gotta say this is very fun remake graphics so good so many things to do I find this gamestyle is better than BOTW
Just picked up my Grey Lite and this game. Can’t wait to put hours into it.
I think they covered the gameplay for 90% of the review anyway.
hey guys, im on a budget, so, choose one (which one is better).
1) Link's Awakening (like) 2) Mario Maker 2 (reply)
3) or, if a switch game is better that is (somewhat) new, tell me.
thanks guys!
how long the gameplay?
I hope they do this with a Link to the past
Imagine, pokemon like this graphics.
i think the remakes of diamond and pearl will be great graphics. They are still tweaking it which is good
Just got skyward sword getting this one next
I'm still waiting for them to remake the original Legend of Zelda already and I would like the style for Link to the Past
Afraid the price is putting me off getting it, would rather wait until it goes on sale or something.
Really makes you feel like batman
7/10 too intense
Nailed It 👌
Haven't been this excited for a Switch title in a long while
TRUE, its unfortunate. I don't want to pay 89.99 tax included CAD for a 14 hours game...
Minus the odd art style on Link I'd take a full remake of The Legend of Zelda's 1, 2 and A Link To The Past in this same manner.
This style is PERFECT. But I would hate to see it exhausted, I wouldn’t mind maybe one more but I think it’s better if they keep it unique.
A link to the past would be GORGEOUS
@@SandyCheeks1896 I disagree about the style being perfect. It clashes with the art style from the opening animation.
Thief’s Awakening looks great
Insert "I understood that reference" gif
are they going to remake minish cap yet?
They need to remake the first Zelda with graphics like this.
Can't wait to receive my pre-ordered Dreamer's edition and Link amiibo. Thanks for the good review
Little worried about the length, doesnt seem logical to pay $60 for a remake of a gameboy game
CommittingSloth then dont get it lol ur not being forced to lmfao
Chris Lopez what's Soo funny dickhead
So far every switch has launched alongside a Zelda game. Does that mean the the swich pro will launch alongside Breath of the Wild 2?
Just a few hours in and this game and the feeling is amazing.
seriously they need to re-release ages and seasons in this exact art style for switch next
I can't contemplate attempting this in my 2022 gamer-incarnation without a walkthrough at hand 😂
Ocarina of time was the first LoZ game I played so on switch would be amazing
Worth it. Nintendo will patch the framerate issues
Lol
i got the game but the length of the game and frame rate issues, simply dont justify the quite steep price, was hoping for more, also whats wrong with nintendo to still asking for 59$ for the breath of the wild
Too short
Too many performance issues
No real new noteworthy content.
7.5/10.
Why sre soo many ofbu complaining about the 60 bucks for 15hrs of gameplay? Saying thats not worth 60 lol yall are soo dense not every game needs to be 30+ hours lmfao
@Sniper480 The countless hours of enjoyment from the multiplayer alone makes CoD worth the price. Link's Awakening is a single player only experience that lasts 15 hours.
Well time to buy a switch to play my favorite Zelda game with pretty graphics.... Looks at switch prices... well time to replay it on virtual console.
