I have problems with it but I also respect it to an extent. Twilight princess being number 13 is the biggest atrocity, especially as the only criticism was repetitive wolf link combat.
However Ocarina of Time not being number one? Wow that's actually impressive and took some balls. I have never and probably never will say which I feel is the best because I think each is different to truly claim that, but I am sick and tired of hearing how Ocarina is number one because it's not.
The game is great but any of the predecessors could compete with it, I am just ready for people to take off those rose glasses already.
Plus Skyward Sword beat Wind Waker and Twilight Princess? That game is the most repetitive, Ghirahim is just odd. The crafting systems that they started were good but too early and too farmy to actually be enjoyable.
Zelda 1 being 3rd worse? That is just insane.

Twilight Princess has by far the best dungeons. And TP has 9 of them! This alone should reward it a higher rank in this list imo.

when i saw twilight princess and it’s low ranking, i got so triggered. it deserved much better than that.

Agreed. Twilight Princess was one of my favorite Zeldas, and while I understand people don't rank it high, it still did a large number of things right - it took advantage of the Gamecube/Wii's capabilities to create a bigger, more intricate Hyrule, it brought nifty new items into the mix, Midna was one of the series' best companions, it had a great final boss fight, and it even had a slew of great little mini-games when taking a break from the adventure.
It's almost a little sad that it gets constantly pelted for its wolf segments.

@@thegamechumps6126 yeah, I think that if it wasn't for the eternal intro or the light bugs to return to the human form it would have been my favourite zelda. The thing I don't hate but i do dislike a bit about it is that the relationship between link and zelda is next to non existant, like, purely professional, and the supporting characters outside midna are kinda weak, yet somehow this link is one of my favourites.
Now I'm playing Ocarina of Time with 4K textures in 3DS emulator and feels incredibly good.
Never played twilight princess but I'm pretty sure its better than spirit tracks🤣🤣

Agreed Twilight princes is better than Breath of the wild to be fair. (BOTW is a good demo but they forgot to put a Story, Fun, Reward or things like that it make for a game that become really boring quickly.)
VS I passe TP IT was a great game wanted to continue playing insteed of just wanting to change game like I did to BOTW.

Twilight Princess is my favorite Legend of Zelda game even with Breath of the Wild out and the fact it didn’t even make top 5 was shocking.
I just finished a 99% completion of TPHD a few days ago. (I didnt have the mental strength or skills to beat Yeta in the snowrace) which is that 1%. Game is so good

I couldn’t play phantom hourglass. Didn’t like it at all . I’ve played the original, the second one , oot, link to the past, and botw. Botw is my favorite at the moment

My problem with Majora's Mask is the overall feeling of restriction. Zelda games at heart, to me, are about the sense of exploration at your own pace. Exploring every region, every town, every scenic spot and taking time to appreciate the beautifully crafted environments. Majora's Mask took that feeling away for me mainly because of the imminent feeling of time ticking away and thus the peaceful freedom of earlier titles was sacrificed because of the 3 day time cycle - which I think is awesome if you're into that kinda thing - just not for me.
Totally agree. I see why people like it - it has a lot of interesting characters and let's you experience being and seeing the different races - but the time crunch really stresses me out and did exactly what you said... Prevented me from exploring as I would have wanted. And you basically NEED a walkthrough to play it, annoyingly
@@Chiater i get what you’re saying, I felt the same way at first, but you can still explore and all that. Main items you get are still with you. I thought it was a cool concept. It did suck having to do dungeons multiple times.
@@juniorpedraza4805 I still think it's a good game but I found I couldn't plsy without a walkthrough, especially for side missions, and that really bummed me out as I don't like having to resort to walkthroughs - I want to be surprised and experience things as they happen. I am playing right now as a second time and it's less stressful but not without the stress from the time and very frustrating a lot of the time. Every time I think I'm enjoying myself I find out I missed something or did something wrong and lost a lot of progress and its infuriating. But the good moments are great

He's right. TP is boring, full of backtracking, and uses an obnoxiously "pale yellow and dark brown" color palette just to make the whole game look like "Twilight" only it doesn't look very good and gets annoying very fast...

I am so glad they they are doing the remake of Links Awakening. It is my all time favorite, and was the game that came with my original game boy. If it does well, I believe Nintendo will continue to release remakes while working on the next new release.
@@metamarx8409 Point? That's $79.99 here ($92.xx after tax), and everyone who even remotely likes Zelda in the slightest bit will buy it, just like everyone in the US who likes Zelda. Yes a lower price point would be nice but it's a fully remade, 1st party, "AAA" Zelda game, of course it's gonna be $60, it's not a 3DS game.

Since Twilight Princess was my first LoZ game I played it holds a special place in my heart. It stung a bit to see it ranked so low but to each their own. I personally love it to bits. I have so many fond memories of it :)

@@kfcgamingg1765 it is not, it's barely a zelda game, look for the comment I putted here in this video I explain why Botw even tho is one of the best is not the best, a lot of people complained about the weapon breaking system, in terms of story it barely tells you something and in combat it resembles more a dark souls or an Elder Scrolls game, also 4 same looking short dungeons and no need for the master sword to kill Gannon, some zelda games revolve around that thing specifically. It is a zelda, but is not enough zelda. Yes is more like the original but the original had 8 dungeons with items you needed to continue on them, Botw does not, yes Botw has an real open world but you don't really need to explore it to finish the game, you can go straight to Gannon and kill him. It is good but it is definitely not the best
None of these reasons say that botw is not a good zelda game, at it's core (meaning LOZ1 and the devs vision) botw is what zelda was supposed to be, all the critics you name are not objectively bad, just design choices that you dislike, which doesn't make them bad. Plus, you play with words if you say you don't need to explore the world, you are heavilly encouraged to explore it and fighting ganon with only 3 hearts is an impossible task for any gamer that loads the game for the 1st time, all the critics you pointed out are opinions, not facts. Tho i respect your opinion.

If you want to go by critics and numbers OoT wins with 99 on metacritic and Botw with 98. Done. But that does not make OoT a better game in the minds of a lot of people, certainly it does not makes it the better on your opinion. And in my opinion those 2 are not even the better zelda, my favorite is Majora's and I'm not trying to convince you that Majora's is better than OoT or BotW because it is not, yet I like it most than any other zelda. In the same way you think Botw is the best but it really is not. No game is perfect but they hay their own strengths and weaknesses and every person has its own, but in general opinion is clear that as most of the comments in this video TP and WWHD should be above SS and that's is what everybody thinks because is clear SS did not had such things as their own style or story or dungeons Tha rmade an impact in people, personally I think a lot of dungeons on SS are really good, better than some on WW or TP but the game did not made that impact on me as what OoT or MM did. You acuse me of nostalgia driven perspective fine, I can acuse you of hype driven perspective and you can't do a thing to change it. What we can't change is those things that the game does. And even if you protect those things I said about the story or the weapon system, even if they are there for design reasons they still make the game better or worse. Nobody denies the way OoT makes feel on a epic quest to save hyrule but you can't deny that the game takes you by the hand exploring almost all places one after the other, and that was by design to tell the story that got you feeling like the hero. They sacrificed one thing to get the other and Botw sacrifices almost all the things that makes a zelda game a zelda game. Open word exploration? There is another zelda game that makes that better, non linearity? There is another game that makes that better. You can't deny this things with nostalgia or hype those things are true even if you like it or not. So please try and analyze the facts on what makes every game a zelda game and Botw is no zelda enough to be called the best zelda game.
Twilight Princess at only 13? Mega fail. That one is top 5 easy, just from the amount of and quality of its dungeons alone. How the dungeons weren't even mentioned completely blows my mind. Also, Midna is not one of the best companions, she is the best.
TP's dungeons are nowhere close to top 5 in the franchise though.

I’ve played both Four Swords and Twilight and there’s no arguing Twilight is better statistically, but that doesn’t mean someone can’t like Four Swords more. Just that it’s inferior is all.
I am totally shocked that Twilight Princess is SO low on this list! Definitely one of my top favourites. I agree that Ocarina of Time is a classic and that game will forever have a special place in my heart because it reminds me of my childhood! I haven’t played Breath it the Wild yet thought but it does look pretty damn awesome!

It was just thrown out there for people who cried for that 'Dark' Zelda game.
They had good ideas, but ruined it with involving Ganondorf. I want a totally different premise with Zant as the only main villain.
TP is actually the 3rd most hated 3D Zelda. Botw and SS are more hated but TP has hater too. And it definetly deserved it. Twilight Princess is way too easy and the overworld is very empty. Until the gerudo desert, it copied ocarina of time with extra sub gameplays. And after that, it's more like a Marathon of dungeons. TP is very uncreative.

The graphics of TP reeks of that era of gaming where everything had to be dark, edgy and realistic with a minimal colour palette
Clearly hasn't really played through the series. There was heart containers in the original legend of Zelda, they were just very hard to find. Plus putting the DS games above the Oracle games, TP, and the original is a crime

I know I'm practically alone on this but I will defend both Hourglass and Tracks to the death. They're my most replayed Zelda games, and joint-third only to Ocarina and Link Between.

Few days ago, (that was just me messing around with the online nes games on the switch tho). It’s held up fine as long as you don’t dislike 8-but graphics. And no, it’s not nostalgia or anything I think it’s just grossly underrated and definitely doesn’t require a guide if you put in the time. I beat it without a guide several times.
@@zakabouelfaioud7653 When I got my Switch this last December while waiting for Smash to come out. I can still get the Silver Sword without getting the Wood Sword without a guide. I am fairly certain their list and the older gamer's lists comes down to, when you were born. I would put the N64 Zeldas pretty low since I know they are not the first games of that style, Tomb Raider did it earlier. The controls felt off and often had buggy interactions that let you take damage or die in annoying ways. It all comes down to the experiences in your life and the perspective it has given you.

Huh! Seeing a new face caught me kinda off guard, but I think you did a phenomenal job here! :3 Really loved the little part of presentation where you always showed the game in question on their respective console, was a nice touch.
The only point of critique I have is that it felt a bit TOO fast paced for me. You talked about 18 games on this video, yet the video is only 13 minutes long. Now, I'm not saying that you need to stretch things unnecessarily, but I feel like talking a bit more slowly and adding some extra info here and there wouldn't have hurt for a big topic like this.

I would replace Skyward Sword with Link's Awakening. SS is easily the weakest 3D game in the serkes in my opinion. It's annoyingly repetitive in structure and has way too much tutorial for its own good. I feel like it was designed for someone who never played a Zelda game.
I cannot agree with Phantom Hourglass being above Zelda 1 and Twilight Princess, it's really not that good. Spirit Tracks though is the better DS Zelda game by miles.
PH is great, it's better then Zelda 1. Probably not TP (haven't played it) but it's a good game

Twilight Princess and Spirit Tracks are two of my favorite Zelda games. Twilight Princess is personally my favorite game of all time, but Spirit Tracks holds a special place in my heart. Spirit Tracks was the first Zelda game I had ever beaten, had some pretty sweet puzzles, the bosses were actually really good, and the music... MY GOD THE MUSIC. I’ll actually listen to the ost of Spirit Tracks every now and then, and the final boss music sends chills down my spine every time I hear it. Twilight Princess is just... Epic, as KingK has said before. I love the locations, Lake Hylia and The Twilight Realm to name a few of my favorites. The music is also amazing, and some tracks are downright terrifying to fit some of the themes of the game. A lot of people think that the overworld is barren, but all the secret caves, grottos, and bugs got me exploring it like crazy. Twilight Princess definitely has some of the best secret caves. The Dungeons are also incredible in terms of game design as well as visuals, and the bosses, while not all winners, make you feel like you’re taking down these colossal beasts. There’s plenty more to discuss with these two games, but this comment is already very long. These two games are both fantastic in their own ways, and if this mans and any one else doesn’t share that same opinion, then that’s perfectly fine. Just wanted to share mine though.

Both were good games but it’s all personal preference. I personally found skyward sword to be a very amazing game with lovable characters and great atmosphere. But that’s just my opinion. Wasn’t a fan of the motion controls and think the game could’ve been a thousand times better without it..
in my personal opinion, i find skyward sword to be my absolute favorite Zelda game. ive actually had a lot of nostalgia with windwaker and ive played it through multiple times, but nothing has ever beaten skyward sword for me. its dungeon designs, complex puzzles, and storyline were far more intriguing and nostalgic for me than windwaker ever was. so, if you like windwaker more thats totally fine with me, but don't state it as a fact or obvious choice to people if they love skyward sword or perhaps another Zelda game more than they do skyward sword.

I actually really enjoyed the motion controls and didn't have many problems with them. I've given up on trying to watch people play through the game because every time they mess up they blame it on motion controls and I get salty
I loved the touch screen controls in Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. They were great.

Agreed. That's the first Zelda game I played. I played it in June 2016, and after I beat it I started buying/playing every game in the Zelda timeline.
From Late June - A few days before Christmas 2016, I had played every main Zelda game except for the co-op games (FS, FSA, and Triforce Heroes), and BotW (wasn't released until 2 1/2 months later). I didn't touch any other video game during that time period, thanks to my sister introducing LbtW to me.
