Hey everyone, I forgot to clarify the locations in this video: Barranca, Miraflores, Surquillo. Our apartment was in Surquillo, the parks and the restaurant shown were in Barranca, and the waterfront area (malecon) and gym are in Miraflores. Drop your comments or questions here!
Great vlog,!welcome to Perú. Hopefully you try Lúcuma (Lookooma), it's a fruit (they make it in smoothies and juices everywhere), it's delicious and has lots of vitamin b3 and fiber.
Hello, I hope you had a good time on your visit to Lima and Peru has many places to go. The coffee in Peru is so good that last year it won awards for the best coffee in the world in France (it is always among the best) although much of that organic coffee is sold abroad.
Man I was SO impressed with the coffee there… and I love the coffee in Colombia (Although in much of the country they don’t embrace the “coffee culture”) and Costa Rica I was shocked how good it was. But Lima… GREAT coffee. Awesome food. Absolutely SHIT chocolate, though 😂
It was an amazing apartment, and you’re spot on- the food is the best in SA so far. Beats out Medellin which was my previous favorite. What is your favorite city in SA? I’m curious.
Lived in Mirafores para 6 anos..I just came back from spending 2 months there.I am thinking of heading to Manizales Colombia for a couple months to see if I could live in the coffee region..Might be too rainy there..Voy a ver..
Manizales I’ve heard great things and yes, the coffee is Incredible. Not sure about the weather because I haven’t been. One of my best friends stays there part of the year. Lima is an awesome city though- hope you loved it!
I will be showing you what I eat on a regular basis while traveling in this vlog series - also if you want to see what I eat on more of a day-to-day basis, follow me on Instagram too @jonathan.ells
Thanks for enjoy your tour on Lima(Peru) As you know 2023 Top Restaurant #1 on the World is a CENTRAL By Virgilio A., Sea side city in South America Lima is AWESOME best destination in S. A. next time I recommended Lima historical, by the way Enjoy, Have a Fun my Country, I'm Peruvian guy in Europe. Thank you for your Interesting video.
Maaan that’s a tough one. It was easy for me because my girlfriend is Colombian. But she also loves Peru and we are going to live there at least part of the year. It depends what things you value the most, I think is the best answer. What are the most important things to you for living?
@@jonathanells Cost of living, climate, and amazing food! Possible dating, but the three things listed in the previous sentence first and foremost. I was thinking of getting residency in Nicaragua as a base and traveling around Latin America. 😊👍🏻
Cost of living and climate you’ll get anywhere in Latin America. Amazing food is pretty much contained to a few countries- Mexico and Peru. Not that the rest of Latin food is bad by any means… it’s just. Normal
The place I showed myself working out in this video is BodyTech Miraflores. There is also SmartFit - SmartFit is all over Latin America in every major city. Outside of those two I couldn’t tell you a thing because I don’t do private gyms
It’s the exact opposite. Lima has much fresher air than Barranquilla. But Barranquilla is MUCH better than Bogotá. It’s like smoking cigarettes when you breathe there lol Lima is the most well rounded city I’ve been to. The only other city in that same conversation is Medellin. But Lima is safer, less touristy and has better food in comparison to Medellin, so it’s my #1.
For half of the year in Lima, yeah. But everything else outweighs that. Between Barranquilla and Santa Marta in Colombia since December first we’ve had 1 rainy day and 1 cloudy day. Then like 92 days of sun and heat lol

I didn’t realize the top restaurant in the world was there. I’m not surprised! Thanks for saying what’s up, you’re welcome, we will be back!! P.s. part 2 is dropping soon!
Peru is without a doubt a beautiful country to visit, very good video, I am looking forward to seeing the next one 👌🏼
It is!!! Thanks, it’s coming soon
Yes. Peruvian food is awesome.
It really is! But not just their national foods, also the food they cook from other cultures, including their fusion is amazing
@@jonathanells Yes. That is why Lima is considered the gastronomical capital of South America. Enjoy.
Thank you!

Barranco :)
The videos, and accompanying narrative of food, location, and the gym from each location are very helpful.
Thank you! I’m glad you think so! 🙏🏼

Lima has amazing food. At Mercado try Jugo de Frutas , what is very fresh fruit using a blender
I saw that place but didn’t try it! When we go back we’ll have to try it. The food is amazing 💯
Cool stuff, continue this. Would be interesting to hear what your long-term plan is, are you traveling to find a place to settle down?
This is an awesome question that I will address in a future video! And will talk about my long term plan much more soon. Thanks man! 👊🏼
I'm glad you like and enjoyed lima peru

Peruvian food is the best, enjoy 🇵🇪🗽
Agreed. Second only to Mexican in Latin America, and I wouldn’t fault you if you said you prefer it 👌🏼

Never add mango to my breakfast, good idea...cool
Why not? It’s soooo good
Lima the city of kings
Yesssir, amazing city
Of course we are “moster” in our cuisine. Enjoy Peru🎉
So good! Thank you! 🙏🏼
Can you recommend gyms in Lima? Planning my S American itinerary soon.
I liked BodyTech Miraflores. I can’t speak on others but there are SmartFit as well!
Question! Would you rather get residency in Peru or Colombia, to live for atleast 1 year? Which country is the better option.

Hey, given the title I was hoping you'd talk about the gyms in Lima, or at least the one you went to, the costs, etc. Bummer.

I heard Lima has low humidity.
Thank you for the reply.
Safe travels.
It’s definitely in contention. Thank you!
But isnt it cloudy and overcast most of the time?
For half of the year in Lima, yeah. But everything else outweighs that. Between Barranquilla and Santa Marta in Colombia since December first we’ve had 1 rainy day and 1 cloudy day. Then like 92 days of sun and heat lol
place sux unless you are rich
Definitely not rich my friend. It’s significantly more affordable in Lima in comparison to any city in the north
Amazing
Thank you for your support!!
