It's an estuary! Where the river meets the ocean, this one happens to be a little bit bigger, lol.
Did you know the islands in the delta (where it's narrower, near Tigre) keep coming up?
In a few centuries Uruguay and Argentina could have land in between them.

I actually prefer to sound British but watch a lot of American shows so maybe that’s why it all mixes up and I sound Australian 😅
