If someone looks like a man or a woman, the brain will default to calling the person he or she. People don’t do it to be a jerk, and if someone speaks another language it can be more complicated. My Nonna (Italian for grandmother) would use he towards me by accident, and we just shrugged it off. I’d hate to see what would happen if she was still alive and made the wrong coocoo click angry.

Appearance is the most useful reference, you don't have to convey any additional information or distinction. The pronouns at issue are second person, hence for the use that others pick you out. You're _looking_ for someone.
Irony that abandoning the socio-culture for abusive, totalitarian behavior really put hard disdain towards any other choice of reference for referral.
Other languages can, but yhea get complicated, in particular in that you reference to the words used and less so the person... and those genders are also chosen for the sound of the language and cultural feel -- the romantic languages having different choices for some which genders for words exist and which is primary, for example.
And more irony, other languages would of been more accommodating towards socio-cultural perceived reference too.
Recognizing and acknowledging perception and referential choice was and would be far more useful instead of all the subjective asserted inherent and reference control.
I've always found the short-hand use of he/she to mean sex/gender to be annoying. The avoidance of that implication also is the reason for the separate growth in using they singular in text to avoid it, and the use of "their/theirs" in spoken dialect -- being completely separate from the notion of non-binary entirely.

Boyo has never, and I've known him since he was a small child and he has never shown an interest in men. Ever. But he's still insisting.
Also she's non-binary because she doesn't shave her legs.

    He could absolutely do better.
Also she's kind of abusive. She doesnt let him eat when hes over there. He's often there for days at a time. This one time, she was with him and his brothers, and his next oldest brother got a large pizza.
He went to get a slice, she grabbed it and threw it AND THE ENTIRE PIZZA out the window.

Blame it on my low speaking voice and sturdy structure but I have always seen someone calling me sir as at least making the attempt to be respectful. Usually the other person is quite embarrassed but I give them a big smile and laugh it off, no problems. Simple human error. Obviously tone and posture convey a lot so if someone is being a jerk you can tell. Maybe if these people weren’t so tied identitywise to a pronoun, they’d have a bit more ability to give the grace they expect to be given.

  • @luikanami
    @luikanami 8 місяців тому +4

"Nonbinary" ist the assumption that "not feeling like yourself", not liking your body for what it is, feeling like being in the wrong body or having body disphoia is unique to YOU and translates into you being special and in need of a new category. NO. All those things are very real. Most of us grow up and think our body is wrong in some way...best example is obesity, anorexia and the body dismorphia that usually comes with body modifications where sometimes over time your objective look on yourself gets clouded. But pair all those things we ALL face with a fashion - it becomes really crazy.

These 'enbys' are allegedly supposed to be free from gender roles yet this locks them in needing to go for a set in-beteeen look and technically from being allowed to do anything that is seen as stereotypically male or female.
To me, true freedom is just being yourself and you doing you regardless of your gender. Which is what we were slowly moving towards as a society. You know where it's okay for a guy to be feminine and the likes. But this whole thing is putting a halt to it and is even make us move backwards.
What they're doing isn't aceptance of gender expression but quite the opposite. Expression should not be focused on gender or the lack of gender to begin with. But merely on the person and their actual personality. Gender isn't a personality. One's identity isn't their gender.
But try telling those kind of people that. I already hear the word transphobe bounce around in the echo chamber that their mouths are. 😑

Every single one of these people I've asked has said that they were looking at trans content on social media and felt like they "related" to how the trans person says they felt.
Social media, being influenced by peers, and adults grooming them by introducing these theoretical ideologies onto them are the biggest factors in this social contagion.
These are vulnerable young people who are being influenced into changing their identities, nobody will ever convince me otherwise because everything I've seen with my own eyes leads to the same conclusion. This is evil, thousands of lives will be destroyed over this.....

I use to identify as Agender-meaning I did not feel male or female then later Demi-boy-meaning I still felt a disconnect but leaned towards male/male presenting. I’m not quite sure why. I was born female and now identify as female. like I said I felt disconnected, even now I lack very close girl relationships. I’m reconnecting with my mother who traveled for money bc of my abusive father. I felt very isolated and I liked the idea of being in a fantasy/aesthetic. When I think of non-binary or gender non-conforming people I think of hippies, fairy’s and just overall magical/other worldly beings. Idk this is just a ramble.
