1000 Push-ups in 1 Hour Quarantine Challenge | My Attempt

  • Hey guys! Here's my attempt at completing 1000 pushups in 1 hour. I discovered this challenge through Fitness Motiv8's channel (link below) and figured I'd give it a shot. I will say, I had fun doing this regardless of the results. And I'm definitely looking forward to trying it again in a few weeks time!
    Fitness is a big part of my life with exercise and working out. It is important not only for your body but for your mind also. I've found that if I go too many days without some sort of physical activity, I lose energy and my mind starts to drift. So, I keep it a part of my routine.
    If you're up for the challenge, give it a shot and let us know the result! Don't worry about whether you reach the 1000 pushups, just do what you can do! In the end, you'll come out stronger than before! That is, after the muscle soreness goes away ;)

    A little progress update from where I was at this point. Since the gyms have reopened in my area, I've been fairly consistent with my workout sessions. I believe I was back in the gym around mid-late June of 2020. At the point of this video, I had just finished a 6 month school program for Massage Therapy. During those 6 months, I was able to workout decently for approx 3 -4 times a week. Usually twice on weekends and either during lunch during work or after class (around 11pm) some nights. It was pretty rough given the hours I was doing between full-time work and school for 4.5hrs after (M-Th). So my workouts were often times forced as I wasn't at my optimum energy wise.
    Lately, I've had much more time to get good sessions in. Around 3-5/week. Most importantly, I can bring a lot more energy to them.
    I plan to do this challenge again pretty soon so I decided to do a small test with 15 minutes just to have an idea of where I'm at. Thus far, I've been able to do 252 pushups in 15 minutes which is quite an improvement over where I was here. So I'm hoping to best the 305 reps I got in this video by, well, let's just say I'm hoping to do a LOT better than I did here lol.

    I thought this challenge was fun despite the result. I'll definitely be giving it another shot soon with the ultimate goal of hitting that number! Hope you all have enjoyed! Any criticism or tips are welcome! 😊

      luv this warren workout warren. my tip would be to remove your shoes and just socks is great for mobility mechanics. i would like to see more your workouts. u explain well and i followed along. can u do stretches too like the sit and reach or stretches in the future too. cheerleading for u! ❤️kim

      @@greatvoicelessons Thanks Kim! Seeing your comment a little late but much appreciated. I never thought about removing the shoes but I'll definitely try it out. I know it seems like a small thing but they make a huge difference. I'll try to look for ways of incorporating my workouts and physical routine on the channel :)

      Ha! Thanks man much appreciated! Pushups are one of those things it seems you have to do often to get in the groove of and get a high count. And the repetitive motion of them is the reason why I struggle to do so. Often times my mind is like, "ahh, let's do something else" 😅. Thanks again! Take care!

    I watched yours first, I feel inspired! lmao I could do a lot years ago but now just getting to 50 is a challenge.
    Excellent closing statement! Do you do any public speaking (offline)? If not you should!

      Haha! 50 is still a good amount. Upon completing the first 40 or so, I felt like I had extra weight on my back lol.
      Thank you! 😊 I don't do public speaking as of yet but it's something I'm looking forward to starting in the near future. I've always wanted to but more than ever, with gained experience, I now have a better sense of how I can be of value to others in doing so! :)

      @The Loser Network There's a great book called 7 weeks to 100 pushups, that's what I used in the past, you could probably find a free copy on the internet now.
