It's so hard to find someone to give tutorials on Jeff Buckley songs I thank you so much and can't wait for more videos!
Thanks Andrew! I have another one coming imminently. Hopefully by the end of the week. Thanks for watching, Ben
Hi Ben. For years I've felt that most tabs for Mojo Pin have been slightly wrong, and this evening while suffering insomnia I've been watching countless performances of it by Jeff. Finally with the help of this lesson and watching him play I think I've nailed it. However, I actually think that the 3rd part of the chorus should go D7sus2, G, D7sus2, and then Bm6… played as A string 2nd fret, D string Open, G string 1st fret, B string 3rd fret, e string 2nd fret. Every live version I've watched has that chord instead of the one you show. Hope this helps others.
Very cool lesson, if I may suggest, always play through the whole song first so everyone has a good reference point of what they are trying to achieve. Then break it down piece by piece like you have done so already. Thanks again!
Thanks. I've been playing around with doing both, but some people like you to dive straight in, but will definitely think about it. Cheers, Ben
its so annoyingly slow though, why not jusy play the song with tabs?
This is amazing! It should definetely have more views
Thanks very much Tony!
My mate came past my home to get me to come to watch "a young cat" (as he put it) at the Newcastle Workers Club on the 13th February 1996. It was an amazing concert. Every woman in the audience wanted to go home with him. The only other singer I'd ever seen hold women in a trance like that was Ian Astbury from The Cult and Prince. Buckley was a real talent. Shame he died.
Ah I can imagine watching him in a smaller venue would have been absolutely incredible. Yeah he was an amazing musician, as you say shame he's got such a small repertoire, but some of his covers of other songs are incredible
Jeff was a true gentle man tho, he wouldnt take advantage! lol
Great tutorial, would've been nice tho if at the end you played the whole song with all the different parts you just showed together as a whole thing. I don't mind listening to the song and recognizing which part goes where, but it would've been so handy. Or even separate video of you just playing the song would be a good accompaniment to the lesson. Thanks for the good pointers tho
Thank you for this, probably my favorite song of his.
You're welcome. Yeah one of mine too, thanks for watching, Ben
You're a great teacher man
Thanks Noah!
Thanks! I always wanted to learn this
You're welcome Mike. Glad it helped. Cheers, Ben
Cheers for the tutorial - very easy to follow
No worries Danny. Glad it helped!
Love Jeff Buckley and this song. Thanks! Would love a lesson on Last Goodbye and Lilac wine.
Yeah he's the best! I think Lover You Should Have Come Over is my favourite. Will add Lilac Wine to the list. Check out a guy called Question Mark, he's done a really good lesson on Last Goodbye (and tell him I recommended him haha!) How have you been getting on with Society and Girl From The North Country? Cheers, Ben
Thanks Ben.
Dream Brother lesson? It's my favorite Jeff Buckley song.
Hi buddy. This is a great song. Unfortunately I'm only doing requests through my Patreon page due to time constraints. The link is in the description if you are interested. Thanks, Ben

Thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou!!!
No problem! Glad it helped, Ben
Thank you for the in depth tutorial. Was able to learn it fairly easily! I was curious to know if you'd ever be intetested in doing a lesson on Jeff's version of "Just like a Woman" on the 'You & I" album. Havent seen anyone teach that. I would forever be in your debt.
Hi bud. Thanks, glad it went well. Had a couple of requests for Just Like a Woman so will look into it for sure. Cheers, Ben
@@BenWrightGuitar Would love to see it! You've earned a subscriber regardless. Thanks again!
Great lesson cheers. Wished you’d played the chorus part (Don’t wanna weep for you...) once over and not just bits. Helps to understand.. anyway thanks
Thanks Michael, will keep it in mind for future videos. Cheers, Ben
this was first song i heard from jeff back in 1995 on a cassette tape i got from a friend.. didn't even know abot jeff, first couple of months i thought he was a woman haha. anyway thanks for breaking this one apart, i always wanted to learn it
You're welcome bud. He was such an amazing and inspiring musician. Crazy vocal range. Cheers, Ben
@@BenWrightGuitar really awesome voice range (i always stretch my vocal cords quite a bit when i sing his songs :) but i love it very much) but his melodies are what really got to me. and of course his crazy lyrics..
this video is so helpful. there are no good tutorials on Eternal Life by Jeff Buckley, and it's such an awesome song. would you be able to do a video for that?
Thanks Dylan, glad it helped. If you would like to request Eternal Life you can do so over at my Patreon page. Cheers Ben

Hi Tyler. Thanks! Glad you're liking the content. If you would like to request a lesson you can do so over at my Patreon page. Thanks, Ben
Your voice sounds like Jen Larsen
Could you please teach us how to play “Je n’en connais pas la fin” by Jeff Buckley?
Of course bud, will add it to the list. Thanks for watching
Ben Wright Thank you! I appreciate your response
I wished you played through the whole chorus just once without stopping so we get a better sense of the rhythm. Otherwise great job!
Thanks Pedro - yeah unfortunately looking back I wish I'd done that too!
The rhythm’s far slow.
I would’ve liked it if you played the whole chorus, I personally find it more difficult to learn with this piece by piece style of teaching. Just my 2c, thanks for doing this though. Very accurate.
You're welcome buddy. When you say the rhythm is too slow do you mean the lesson or the way I played the song?
I meant the lesson. You were very precise and explained all the details of every part very well, which I’m sure a lot of players find very helpful, but I kinda lost context. I did manage to learn the song thanks to your lesson, so thanks again, but I would have found it easier had you played the whole chorus in real time, which I don’t think you did. You kinda split it in two if I remember correctly.
Thanks for this bald daddy
Haha, you're welcome
