As someone working for Mainz 05, I'm beyond grateful for this little tribute to Klopp and the city of Mainz. He is more than just a manager for us, he's part of the modern history of our beloved city.
When I met him California in 2016 during a training session, I told him this: 'You are the best thing to happen to Liverpool since Steven Gerrard debut'd in 1998.' He smiled. We'll be forever grateful, Jurgen :)
One of the best managers in the world, took Liverpool to the top won everything and his tactics are so on point with the squad. Very passionate about the game truly a genius.
As a United fan, I'm not sure what irks me more, the fact that Klopp has made Liverpool winners again, or that hes so damn likeable! Dalglish Gerrard etc are easy to hate. Klopp? Not so much.
I think the point of the video is giving you context as to how he came to prominence across all European football. 90% of people know Jurgen klopp from Dortmund and beyond
The Rafa Honnegstein biography that they mentioned above does this well (into the first two years at LFC), though obvs not as immediate as a 6 min video (!). Worth a read regardless.
@@Aaron19987 Yes John.. I agree with you there.. They just wanted to focus on the emergence. Nevertheless, anything on this man would be as entertaining and enriching as ever. Great coach, a great man, all in all a champion! ✨❤️

Back in 2015 there were two options as to which manager Liverpool would sign, Klopp or Ancellotti. I thought Ancellotti would be a better signing but how wrong I was, and I am glad I was proved wrong by Klopp. Now I can't imagine anyone else rather then Klopp being in the front seat. Much love ❤️

As Man Utd fan, I love Klopp. I love his style. Personality. Coaching. Use to watch Dortmund teams so attractive to watch. Always wanted him to come to Man Utd but didn't happen and will never will 😓
Jürgen Klopp is an admirable manager due to his love of the game, and not only because he enables us 'football romantics' but because he even rewards us. The man has many good quotes to his name, yet one of my favorite quotes has to be something similar to; "Whenever the team does well, they have earned the credit. Whenever the team fails, the blame is exclusively on me." That quote and philosophy shows not only maturity, but an understanding and fondness of the collective.
To anyone who enjoyed this, you should read Rafa H's biography called Klopp: Bring the noise. One of the best biographies I've ever read, can't recommend it enough
He's a fantastic manager, and he'll be beloved wherever he goes because he has a Shankly-level of understanding about how important the fans are to the game. But I appreciate him most because he seems like a good, decent man.
as klopp is going 7 years as a liverpool manager this coming october. He has inspired me to be a better human. I have grown to be a better friend, better younger brother to my schizophrenic sister, better colleague, better son. He has been an exemplary role model.
One of a kind manger, coach and person by all accounts. Regardless of what happens between now and when he decides his time at Liverpool is done, regardless of how many or how few trophies come in the door, I intend on enjoying every minute of it.
Certified _Mensch_ and, in my view, the best football manager in the world. Building a team to beat the mighty _Bayern_ to the league title and developing players to eventually lead _LFC_ to the recent major triumphs domestically and internationally are feats upon which every honest fan of the sport should look with the utmost respect and admiration. I would go as far as to say no other manager would have won what he has with the squads he has. Player-for-player _Klopp's_ triumphs have come despite his not having the strongest squads at his disposal. His preferred brand of football is so physically taxing, however, that I hope he continues on the current course to refresh the core squad. We have a world-beating first-XI, but need genuine strength in depth. *Boom!* *_YN❤WA_*
The greatest quality I like about Klopp is he makes football simple & great to watch. His tactics are never negative & his type of football is never boring. It's always attack no matter what the situation. The other interesting thing is that every opponent coaches & players know what Klopp is going to play against them. It's gegen pressing & still they can't defeat his system. Many a team park the bus against his gegen pressing & still suffer. For me Klopp is the best. Iam not a tiki taka type of fan so though I respect Pep for his success I still prefer Klopp's gegenpressing.
What's impressing me more with Klopp now is that until Liverpool, he'd never had success with a squad and then refreshed that squad and had more success. With Jota, Konate and Luis Diaz coming in, that appears to be happening.
The excitement level is same as it was at klopp's first day at Liverpool, he has given us very very exciting football, trophies and many memorable moments. Thank you Klopp.
I might be a man city fan and would always herald pep guardiola as the greatest coach in the last 15 years but Jurgen klopp would remain my favorite . I love the man!
All hail the greatest manager of the world, the manager can make any game the final game, the gagan style manager who cannot be replicated, i would be sad when he will leave Liverpool, ynwa one of the best manager
Over twenty years of coaching, and Klopp is only at this 3rd club! That’s pretty amazing! And every club loves him, he was celebrated like the hero he is when he left Mainz and Dortmund.
Sometimes i wonder, does universe works also by the law of "one's will destined for greatness"? Seeing klopp in liverpool is just...something celestial. In times when liverpool need a man to carry their torch, this german gaffer unexpectedly carried it and place it again into the glory cauldron....
To sumarise: Klopp got a break at Mainz, and following that he was offered the chance by Dortmund which is a sink or swim outcome in regards to football management, but then again, German football is less ruthless when giving the so called rookie managers a shot a the big time compared to English football - where usually you wouldn't even get that chance. At Dortmund, he did more than swim, he took them back to the top and challenging and would've even gone further hadn't it been for Bayern Munich's overall power in the German league and the fact Guardiola was his direct rival who was regarded as the best in the world at the time. He realised he couldn't take Dortmund any further and ended his stay amicably - taking a short well earned break. Liverpool came calling, which at the time was perfect timing for both parties, and what was regarded as a perfect fit, with both dortmund and liverpool sharing many things in common and not just in footballing terms. The cities, the working class, political views, underdog status etc were all similar traits from both sides so Klopp had very little adapting to do and his only obstacle was the language barrier and his premier league inexperience. Liverpool fans took to him immediately and were willing to give more time than they wouldve to a manager such as hodgson or rodgers but Klopp showed within 1 year how he wanted to shape the club and how we were going to get back to the top. Klopp has to fight against the power of man city and guardiola which he hasnt shyed away from and some would argue that he has the upper hand in that rivalry when it comes to direct competition, as proven in the league games and champions league games. Klopps passion and understanding of all clubs he has worked at, is a testament to his own personality which shows in how his teams play. He is one of the best in world football and no one can deny this. The only question that hangs in the balance would be if his management style would work at power hungry clubs such as madrid, barca, man utd, bayern and psg. If he was to leave liverpool for a new challenge then i think the perfect fit would be atletico madrid or ac milan.
You see, there are interesting parallels everywhere Klopp has been in his football manager career. People liked him, his clubs were successful after a tedious building period and when he inevitably will be leaving, people want to build him a monument. ❤
If I had a time machine and go back to 2013. I would choose Klopp over Pep all day for Man Utd. Sure Pep is a genius and is a better coach. But Klopps chaotic high pressing football is much more entertaining and he is a very charismatic man
