  • Emergency Alert System (EAS) scenario. Scientists at NASA, ESA, CNSA, JAXA, and Roscomos identified a slight deviation of the moon from its orbit. The cause of this phenomenon remains unknown even as scientists search for a solution to stop the moon’s descent.

For those who don't know, Kurzgesagt has made a video about this and in conclusion, they expect that the Moon wouldn't actually crash into us, but would break up before it would hit Earth and it would turn into a ring, kinda like Saturn. However, Earth would almost be completely sunk by the end of it. Even so, the Moon is actually very slowly moving away and is very stable. One of the best EAS from this channel. Good job Alert World.

I can't decide if that's reassuring or um... whatever the word is for the opposite of reassuring. On one hand, it's nice to think we'll make it and come back strong, but there's billions of us and that doesn't really give me a reason to think I'll be one of the survivors. In fact, it's suggesting that a lot won't survive, which could mean the odds are very much against me. On the other hand, my simple cynicism would read this almost immediately as the words of a helpless, powerless man grasping for comfort. He doesn't have a crystal ball over there, he just literally can do nothing better than send me a platitude and hope I won't suffer like he does.

The Ace Combat franchise has something similar to this, an asteroid is detected 4 years before it hits. All the countries have four years to build a defense. One continent builds an anti-air railguns, one of which goes offline during the event and allows a fragment to hit the biggest city in the continent, Farbanti, flooding its municipal district. The other affected continent gets all civilians into bunkers, but one builds a railgun called Chandelier, but can't complete it in time. 500,000 lives were lost.

Later, during the First Continental War, Erusea took control of Stonehenge and used it against ISAF, only for all seven active railguns to be destroyed by Mobius One. During the Emmerian-Estovakian War, Estovakia finished and attempted to use Chandelier to terrorize the Emmerian military into surrendering, only for it to be destroyed. Finally, in the Lighthouse War, Osea used the deactivated Stonehenge railgun to destroy Arsenal Bird Liberty.

Ive always loved kurzgesagt's "Moon crash" vid which explains the events of if the moon went on a collision course with earth and took 12 months to hit, still orbiting earth but getting half the remaining distance closer each month, it also explained what happens on a month by month basis. I could easily see this as occurring across two days of time in one of the lazier vids. Still seems accelerated but at least it took 6 months or so in this scenario, so there is undoubtable mystery around what caused the orbit to shift. It honestly makes sense that the broadcast would repeatedly state the importance of staying calm. If the listeners are as calm as they can possibly be, then that means the chance of survival is theoretically higher, due to the likelihood of mistakes being made being considerably lower

As always, you deliver to the world another amazing EAS scenario! And what an amazing one it is! I love this, AW, it's really intriguing! But even if humanity survives everything, how would they continue? The world they once knew would be gone, forever. They'd have to adjust to water levels that flooded entire cities.. Just interesting. Anyway! I also have a suggestion. You know what Jurassic World is, right? You probably do. What if you made an EAS in the Jurassic Universe? Like, when the dinosaurs break free in the park, an EAS is sent out to guests to warn them about the now roaming dinosaurs and to seek shelter? Just some ideas to ponder with. Anyways, great EAS, again! Keep up the amazing work. UvU

It was February 1st 2030. I was at home at my college dorm. Everyone in my city was gearing up for Super Bowl 64 between the Carolina Panthers & Tennessee Titans. I lived in Nashville , TN at the time. Everybody was rockin their Titans gear. Until the emergency broadcast happened. I, like everyone else was shocked. However on February 3rd things were somewhat normal yet also strange. Sure everyone was excited. The Titans like everyone else in Nashville were excited since they won the big game (28-22). But everyone knew that would be the last game of professional (American) football.
