With you help/video I was able to install one on my 2017 JK. Thank you, the instructions they provided were crap compared to this video. I only forgot to push those pins back in that hold the wire to the frame so after installing everything, I had to take it apart and push them back in. A total of 10 minutes to install everything. I would highly recommend this to any Jeep owners.
Hey i'm glad you liked the video. I try to google almost anything before I buy it and I'm always annoyed when I can't see a video or a review on it. So I make stuff like this and my radio reviews so people can see what they are like. I love my Bolt hood lock, I drove 4 hours last week in terrible weather, all highway 70+ MPH and no hood flutter or concerns. I also feel much better when I leave it at the airport or at a hotel overnight. I know it is not invincible, but it at least a bit more secure
Extremely hard to install this with nuts and bolts but I did. I did not trust the rivets nor did I have the machine to install them. 4 nuts 4 bolts and red lock tite👌👌
Be aware....Bolt does NOT have a replacement lock cylinder available for this ...if it breaks..its pot metal, it probably will...you have to buy a new one. Or just buy locking hood latches for $40.00...
Very good video! Thank you! When I installed it today, I was not able to get the hood shut tight after locking. There was some “play” and I could lift the hood up (a few inches) unlike your case where the hood stays shut. I wonder what the issue is. I have a 2008 4door Rubicon. Any thoughts on this?

GREAT installation video! It helped me a lot installing the lock on my 2016 Willys edition. Thanks so much!
Glad I could help! Mine is still working great

I am not sure what that issue would be. I still have mine going strong with no issues. Maybe it just doesn't work well with the older Jeep?
I have a bolt lock. Its a few years old. Now it won't unlock. What can I do. Please help. Thanks
I am not sure. I still have the same one from this video without any issues.
Maybe WD-40?
