Just started to install mine and I don't have the alignment tab part in the box. Will have to figure something out for a gasket as I don't want to scratch the paint. Some hardware store rubber or I saw another video the guy used a bicycle intertube material for a gasket. We'll see how it goes. Tired of ordering parts that are not complete.

it is so much easier when you take the grill off. Use the original nuts not the ones that come with the latches.

So when unlatched, the hinged piece just sits on top your painted fender? Doesn’t that scratch the finish?
Not really. Just sitting there they do not damage the paint and plus wouldn't drive with the hood unlatched anyway.

No scratches. There is clearance between the latch and the paint. Over a year and they still holding strong.
