hi to all brookside die hard fans i never lie i prefer to speak the truth i ve never bn to liverpool but have been dreaming of visiting brookside closesince 1982 i will cry when walking along the close where my favourite stars once were god bless all who worked for brookside the best drama in english history
Brilliant! I've heard the early theme tune on You Tube and finally found this one - this is the one I remember from when I was a kid. Remember watching it back then and was the best soap on TV. I'll never forget the Trevor Jordache storyline... or Ron Dixon's dicky ticker and his Angina :) thanks for posting this tune, has brought back quite a few memories of the time.

Ah, I loved the way the old end theme tune would just fade in, with the gentle bit first then it would get all loud with the drums. Fantastic! Got any more footage of the ending scenes?
This isn't the original set of closing titles, the original was a shot of the close with the roadsign and yellow times new roman style font, like the Brookside logo on this video. Would be better if you pointed it out as a mock...
It was axed because the show went downhill, started bringing in poor actors and making storylines that last 2 years or more (Jimmy Corkhills mental breakdown was one of the worst) The show ended up like Hollyoaks.
STV streaming is repeating Brookside from the start (and digitally remastered apparently) from 1st Feb, opening with first 10 episodes, followed by 5 per week!👍
The best soap even today
God I love this music

Brings me back to the 90s this does
RIP jimmy corkhill. What a great character
I always preferred brookside to Hollyoaks that they film in the area. For me it was the best soap on TV.
What a theme for an epic programme

@Richie77777 I was going to say the same thing. There's something so wistful about the synth theme before the drums come in. Love it.
My god forgot what a theme this is , text book stoicism in theme
great , tanks for uploading
