the best part was when he mixed 'mind-blowing' and 'Jaw-dropping' to get 'mind-dropping! such an innovator. this is the quality content i subscribed for!
I noticed that. lol. it's not just mind blowing. it was both mind blowing and jaw dropping. so what do I say. oh I'll say mind dropping. lol. Dan maloney.
Well, obviously his first language is not English, but it's pretty darned good.
I'm happy I didn't turn it into 'jaw blowing'... :o
Trust me we're all happy it was not that you said.. lol Keep doing what you do bro.
imma use mind dropping from now on... jaw blowing only if epic enough...

Alonso G. Can you do the same in the part 1?
he is missing Emoji of a wave from John mayer
Thank you
Alonso G. D
Anyone else find it odd that Nick Drake is missing from all these lists? I guess nobody know's who Nick Drake is.
One more thing that is AWESOME, is that my channel reached 300.000 SUBSCRIBERS!! THANK YOU ALL
Paul Davids fender,gibson or ibanez??
Paul Davids Where can I get a beard as crisp as yours??
What is the most important thing NOT to do when practising guitar?
Paul Davids follow me on Instagram :))
Paul Davids how old did you start and any tips to improve picking speed?
I've watched a lot of your stuff Paul. It's both inspiring and intimidating to watch you show your talent. I thought I'd finally say hi and pay my respects to your work. Totally awesome man.
This video series made me subscribe. I love the feeling that fingerstyle gives over a plain pick, and you helped shine a light on the best collection of songs throughout the years that give me that feeling. Wonderful job, sir.
Mr. Davids playing the tallest man, I didn't know I needed this until now
Love seeing One Sunday Morning in the list. I saw them a few years ago at Red Rocks in Colorado (and many times since). They opened the show with One Sunday Morning, the sunset brilliantly lighting up the amphitheater. It was surreal. Such a gorgeous song, and a fun one to play, too!
It is impressive to see how much your playing and video crafting have improved in the four and a half years since this video came out. You were already at a high level in 2017 and have clearly kept working to hone your skills. Really top tier UA-cam content! Thank you so much.
I used to be a guitarist primarily focused on playing metal but lifestyle kind of restricts my playing to acoustic stuff these days. After a 2 year break, I decided to start learning how to finger pick and make it a dominant part of my playing. In the last couple of months I've mastered Big Love (live version), Landslide, Jolene, and Never Going Back Again (incl the live solo) Feels great to be back playing guitar again and really enjoying learning this finger style stuff! Some great inspiration in this video to learn more.
Awesome is the right word. This selection is even better than the first part.
Anthony Lazaro How come you posted this 5 days ago if this video was uploaded 4 minutes ago? :)
Tzvi Menashe Lifshitz I think he's a wizard
Yeah HOW? :O
A DeLorean can be useful, sometimes ;)
Tzvi Menashe Lifshitz You can schedual videos on youtube so they are available to the public on certain dates
I love your channel Paul. I just enjoy your playing so much. I'm a brand new learner at 63, but I find it to be so much fun. Thanks for being there to inspire someone like me. Connie
man, I love learning from you. your demeanor, calm tone to your voice, tis extremely approachable. I especially how the flow of your videos go. you can tell sometimes where the video editing cuts are, but they make the eb and flow extremely clean and crisp as a presentation! love your videos!!!
I’m typically more of fast/shred type guitar player but man was that Zep riff great. I love that stuff and that’s one of my all time favorite riffs. He totally killed it.
gosh i love his little mistakes every once in a while. it makes me mend a personal connection with him. it reminds me that he's a person, not just someone on my screen
Paul I just wanted to say I love your videos and instruction. You are straight forward about your playing and it's not hard to follow the songs you teach. Keep the videos coming because they are awesome.
I love your videos, I learn so much from every each of them. Thanks for supporting and helping guitarist like me. Congrats from Dominican Republic.
Such an inspiration. This is the stuff that makes me want to pick up my guitar and learn more, even after 16 years of playing and even if I'm insanely jealous of your Martin guitar!
Brilliant as always man. loved the "mind-dropping" song list!
My favourite guitar channel... just looking through some past videos for inspiration, can’t wait to try some of these out! I love fingerpicking songs so much
beautiful tops paul!! continue with this type of videos!! congratulations to the 300.000 subscribers!! Good work
when I saw "Guarantee" in the beginning, I already know this video would be AWESOME.
Love that you played the tallest man on earth, that man is a straight up genius!
Paul -I really like your videos your commentary -everything is always well polished ,professional and useful
And you are a really great player
Awesome as always
So glad to see the Tallest Man on Earth getting some love! His songs are the most fun to play I swear!
Mate you are an AMAZING guitarist, supremely talented!
I always get inspired to get of the couch and learn some songs when watching Paul's videos, amazing as always.
Beautifully done
I still remember when I first heard Big Love by Fleetwood Mac, I listened to it on repeat for hours, it was totally mind dropping!
Another delight indeed!! Awesome tutorials. I would love to see some of the mind blowing stuff from Bruce Cockburn like Wondering where the lions are, Foxglove, Sunwheel Dance, Sunrise on the Mississippi, All the Diamonds, Rouler Sa Bosse, Pacing the cage.... to name a few. Paul's skill and method would no doubt do justice to these stirring and challenging tunes.
Hey Paul! Brilliant work man! there is something out of the world, about your personality. Keep up the good work!
Another wonderful break in my day with this awesome player and soothing presence. Fragile! Wunnerful. Cheers mate!
lol "it's not that hard if you're used to picking at the speed of light." For Tallest Man on Earth songs-so true!
Thank you so much for acknowledging Buckingham and Knopfler, two of the most underrated players of all time.
Who would ever say Knopfler is underrated?
Knopfler? Underrated? Whut
Knopfler isn't really underrated, Buckingham probably is though

Paul Davids, love your videos and your sound... can you make a video about your guitar collection?
Watching three years after it came out and still one of my favorite top 10 lists!! 💜💜
I love these fingerpicking videos, Paul!
Don't know if it's just me, but does anyone else love this guy's voice?

Awesome video Paul!! 😎🎸👍🏻💯 Another Masterpiece!!, Keep up the inspiring videos and fantastic playing 😀!
Nice video Paul. I watch you videos all the time and I love them. Keep up the good work 😁😁👍👍🔥🔥
Fleetwood Mac - Never Going Back Again is boss level fingerpicking
If you like Dire Straits you should check out Mark Knopfler's newer stuff. Heart of Oak is a great fingerstyle song.
Discount Sean Connery ua-cam.com/video/8y6IEM3Kz7Y/v-deo.html. You are welcome on my channel. I will upload guitar lessons soon.
Thank you for bringing this wonderful song into my life! Definitely going to add this one to the repertoire

That sting song, superb playing ! Found myself singing along 😄🎶
"Mind dropping" 2:53
david C u
If you made a 10 hour mix of you playing various acoustic songs I would listen to that shit on like a daily.
Awesome @Paul David, thank you for the awesome video, and much appreciated for the effort in making such a top quality video
Love that nervous song. Absolutely gorgeous flush sounding notes
Once a john mayer fanboy, always a john mayer fanboy
Alejandre San Pedro ua-cam.com/video/8y6IEM3Kz7Y/v-deo.html. You are welcome on my channel. I will upload guitar lessons soon.
yet his heart of life is slacky af ^^
@@halfajohn3233 upload your version so we can see if you can back up that loud mouth
Half A John it’s better than whatever you could do
XAVY MARTIN stop spamming everywhere dude
Pt 3!!!
Love your videos! Great job!
Really enjoyed this, thanks for the part 2 and all the rest 👍
You make learning guitar so fucking fun.
Aah you should do "in your atmosphere" by mayer
Listening to this with headphones made me really appreciate your recording. Sounds SO good. :)
Your videos are amazing in every way!!
Is that a new camera? Something looks really good, I just can't lay my finger on it
Yes! Sharp eye ;)
Jacob Park Nah that’s just Paul
“Just can’t lay my finger on it” Haha, I see what you did there... ;)
@@ZaneDalton ahaha cause guitar players have fingers
@@haydenharper4195 and the Martin D42 lol
Whats a cheerful guy...clearly loves what he does....inspirational!
I was looking for nice acoustic songs, thank you ! Great video as usually btw
Hey Paul I was wondering if you could do a cover of "Everybody's Got Somebody But Me" by Hunter Hayes
When he played Eddie Vedder I start the mmmming, I just couldn't resist
I've been waiting for this video forever! Thank you!
This is so soothing
The intro to "Angeles" or "Tomorrow Tomorrow" by Elliott Smith should be in the next one ! :)
Alexandre Philippe or somenody I used to know. Also a great one by Elliot smith
Angeles for sure has a genius melody behind it!
OHHHH, DOO you know where you can find good tabs for Gavin James - Nervous, I absolutely love that song!
you probably found it by now but this is the closest one to the original that i found with all the little licks and details:
tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/tab/gavin-james/nervous-tabs-2150291
but songs like these are most confusing with just tabs, really need to play around with fingerpicking within the chords, and gavin plays it a little different in his live videos
@@nomnomhaters3312 wow thank you. I will definitly check it out!
@@2.2.2.2. no problem :) practice the tabs first for the beginning loop then play along with 50 or 75% speed, it took me about a week to get it done, then another week or two to sing while playing... pretty difficult but im sure u'll master it! good luck!
Dropping in from 2023 it seems cute that you found reaching 300.000 subscribers AWESOME given you are deservedly on 3.16 million now. I love seeing the same passion and infectious enthusiasm has been there throughout. The editing and style has evolved perfectly. In this video the content is inspiring, but the jump cuts are jarring; in 2023 the videos are mellow and enticing like a warm bath. I just hope my abilities with the guitar evolve in the same manner.
Thank you for the amazing lesson Paul!
Yess!! John mayer!!
Don McLean-Vincent
Nice guitar and great playing. Good tone and excellent choice of material. Play on.
Finally you post that one Paul ! Thanks you ! ( patron user who was really waiting for that video and kind of need it right know ) Marvin from Lille
Into the wild Best movie
I'm always amaze if i watched your video, and my heart said " I want like he, look at he, he so talented, have nice guitar " How about me..
And by the way, i think you have a new camera.
Do you are have English?
@@troyadtler45 Clearly their first language isn’t English. Don’t be an ass about it, they were just trying to express how they appreciate Paul
Always a great style. And nice backround this time
Keep up the good work Paul. You're a cut above any other guitar channel on UA-cam.
This is another great vid - I'll need to keep my second guitar in Open G from now on!
What was your first guitar and what is your favorite guitar?
Neusaap 96 First Guitar he play is Martin D42 :D
Wooo amazing! I was happy when I got my Ephiphone...
I think he said it was a squier affinity strat in his 250 vs 7000 dollar rig video
Beginner in theory here. I think the first song goes like this: G, Bm, Faug, C/E, C, G, D, Dsus2 (I, ii, VII+, IV(6), I, V, Vsus2)
Close. The Faug should be either G7/F or a sort of F6sus2.
Nice, thanks! Learning a lot from your videos.
@@richardbekking As a real beginner this is some fucking elvish. :x
Love this. One small request, Paul could you please add the lists on the descriptions as well. Makes it easier to search the songs. Cheers!
I am really impressed... thanks for this great video. Have a good weekend!
"once a fanboy..." *nods head*
Man, I really wish I could be taught by you! It would be so awesome to get physical lessons from you! 💖
@@lenschendary Physical lessons man? I thought you were talking about guitar.
Like everything else good, music is truly a gift from God!
Great job!
Great video and the quality is soo crispyyy!!
you should teach us these songs would do you really well :D
Boxer starts playing
Me: I am just a poor boy
ur voice is so soothing
I don't know what it is about his video in particular, but this may be the most professional video I have seen on your channel yet. Everything from the sound, the camera, and the song choices are all great and I loved the first video, but this was even better. Let's hope for a pt. 3?
Thank you for teaching us guitar in your spare time Connor McGregor. :)
