53 year old woman whose dishwasher top rack broke and was falling and wouldn’t pull out. So I bought the kit. Then had major surgery. 8 days later the part arrives, and I was able to install it because of you! No stress on my incisions, and I can now use my dishwasher while I heal up! Ironically, the “update” kit is merely the slightly higher-end (i.e., more metal) parts from the Superba line, which we have from the previous owners of the house.

Your DIY Upper Rack Adjuster Kit Video was wonderful. You are correct, the instructions that came with the repair kit were as useless as the Whirlpool Customer Service. I would never have been able to install the new kit without your step-by-step instructions. I tried a couple other video’s before yours, and they were impossible to follower. The only problem I had was I could not figure out how to put the caps back on the rails when I put the rack back in the dishwasher. So I used zip ties. Thank You Very Much! From One Old Lady

This worked perfectly for me, saved me every bit of 100 bucks or more. Now, it took me almost as long to figure out how to put the clips back in at the end as it did to replace both adjusters, but that’s on me.
I'm having the same problem with the end clips! How??

I guess this is a common problem. Wife and I were going to buy a new dishwasher and I was like "Well, let's give this a try." Parts will be here in a few days and though I'm "mechanically challenged" I'm sure even I can figure this out (with your help on the video, of course).

Thank you. Your instructions were spot and I had no issue installing the adjuster kit. The stops on the end of the rails is another story. For some reason I'm not getting them to snap on. Plus you has a broken part so I guess that is the next step. FWIW, the kit had one extra clip for the metal piece and an extra screw. I think they toss in the extra stuff just to mess with us and make us triple check everything.

Great directions just really emphasize that when you put the metal piece between the 4 place make sure it is BELOW the center railing. We put it above the center railing and didn't notice until we couldn't move the whole unit down pass the bent railing.

Loved the detailed instruction, made it very easy to accomplish. One note, the wheels in the kit did not fit my tracks. As I almost had it all taken apart again I had a thought...I wonder if I can just swap the original wheels for the ones that came with the kit? Happily the answer was yes, the inside diameter on both sets were the same! One screw for each wheel, problem solved. I was much quicker at assembling them the second time! Again thanks for your help!

Thanks so much for this. 1 question you say the adjustment lever should be installed at the 'front' but I received 2 of the same levers not a left,right per se.
Will that be a problem IF I don't install the adjustment lever and put the cover on anyway
