Finally, a real polish food channel. I'm from Michigan where we have a thriving Polish community and the food in the restaurants are wonderful, however, too far from where I live. So now I can't wait to give some of your recipes a try.

After WWII,.my friend Isabella's family fled Poland and wound up in Texas. Her grandmother, Babi, would make these for her when she was a little girl. Decades later, her eyes roll back in her head as she rhapsodizes about how delicious they were. Now I get it! She's coming to dinner tonight, so I'll surprise her and get massive brownie points. I will admit I was as nervous as Mark was when you brandished that scimitar and started talking "whack" like a headsman! Sammy is a cutie!

FINALY , I was born in 1960 I remember my mom made eggs just as those. Took me till now to find the recipe of the flavors . She also made Pierogi stuffed with potato and I think it was cottage cheese I miss those flavors of my childhood. My father immigrated from Warsaw Poland as a child in 1942 and my Mother from Ireland. However, My grandparents on my fathers side taught my mom how to cook many Polish dishes. stugenina I remember as well it was a gelatin stuffed with pork we put vinegar on it as a dressing

Hi Anna! Easter 2024 is tomorrow and I just made these for my contribution to the family meal. I find stuffed eggs are always a favorite when taken to any party or event! The first bite of these warm beauties was, "WOW" ! Then my brain was thinking...smoked oysters, a bit of crispy bacon, spinach...(maybe not Polish, but OH! Yes! So many possibilities!)

Just stumbled across your channel, and it was like going home. Not Polish, but grew up in Pittsburgh, wich is about as close as it gets. Later moved to Baltimore, which had a small Polish community, but there was slim pickins for good kielbasa. Later moved to the country, where we raise our own pigs (and eggs, mushrooms, etc.), so I can now make my own, but my recipes have been lacking. Looking forward to learning a lot more. 😊

I have made these out of memory of my mother's cooking for years, but never realized that you use an egg yolk instead of a TBSP of mayonnaise! I do remember her sprinkling paprika on top after the bread crumbs, but I never bother to do that. My family LOVES these.. thank you!

My grandfather cut my great grandfather off due to his views on my grandmother being a divorcee with a child. I never grew up with Polish culture and I’m learning about it now, at 29. There aren’t very many people cooking Polish food, so thank you for sharing! I’m currently learning Polish and trying to navigate my way into some sort of culture with cooking. I live in a very small town with no Polish people (they do not appreciate having to constantly say my last name), and going to Poland is a bucket list item of mine. For now, I’m hoping to give my kids a little bit more info on where they come from than I had! Thank you for sharing so much!

How interesting. I wish that my husband was still alive, I would have loved to see his face when I made all your wonderful recipes. His grandparents were from Poland, he learned a lot from his grandmother . One year while we were in Malta he flew to Poland for the weekend on Ryan Air, he brought me back these wafers and in the middle they had plum preserves. Oh my goodness, they were out of this world.

Why this dish is called "Polish style" ? I am from Lithuania and my family was cooking eggs in egg shells for every family celebration for ages - one of favorite recipes. My father who is in his 80s remembers his grandmother cooking eggs that way. I am making eggs in egg shells at least 8 time a year. Thought we are not adding any mushrooms and do not dip eggs in bread crumbs and we are cutting the eggs very finely - (even when we had no food processor). I can imagine my grandmother screaming here "no mashing!!!". One more advice - after baking, while eggs are still warm you need to clean egg shells with paper towel - none likes greasy eggs.
