The lady with the blue glasses is Prue Leith, very long time cook, writer & broadcaster. She set up her own successful cookery school in the 70s. Those two represent the technical 'expert' side of the four presenting /judging panel. The other guy is Noel Fielding, who is a comedian on the very surreal side, and formerly half of the troupe called 'The Mighty Boosh'. They are worth looking up on their own. Noel also makes frequent panel show appearances. The other woman is Sandi Toksvig [ Danish ], comedian, writer, broadcaster, presenter, and now political activist on women's issues. At various times she has been presenter on Qi [current ] , The News Quiz [ BBC radio ], Fifteen to One [ TV quiz ].

A blind bake, as in they have never done it before or told about it, just given a very basic recipe. They all do the same thing. Judged without knowing who's baked it. 3) Showstopper. Their special bake, a flamboyant big bake, that they have created themselves and practiced all different. Like a cake with a theme. Judged knowing who's baked it.
The technical is the one they all dread. The recipe is very basic. For example, an instruction on the recipe might be something like “Make the merengue” and say nothing more to guide on how that’s achieved.

A little trivia: his sister helped him practice for the flapjack bake. She enjoyed it so much she started a flapjack company. Also, there are three rounds. First is where they do their own recipe, second is a barebones recipe provided (they have no idea ahead of time), and last is the “showstopper” where they can practice ahead as well.
Oh man, we must free the folder! I've seen some reactors make the image super, super tiny on the screen(like the size of the thumbnails on the right) and that gets it through the CW claims. I think most of us have already seen the full videos so making them tiny doesn't hurt it too much, it's more about seeing your reaction to it 🤓

Anyway, James is a vv funny lad, has some brilliant Mock the Week and WILTY appearances (This is my: Mick I think you've done? defo one for the list if I'm wrong) and is one of my favourite younger British comedians.
Some other reactors display a dark colour or image over the videos they're reacting to in the playback. It seems not to breach the copywrite laws. The viewer can't see the material as clearly, but it seems to prevent the video from being blocked. You may wish to consider doing something along those lines if some of the other videos get taken down. :)

It's really weird on UA-cam with what they let through and what they don't. I watch several reaction channels, both music and comedy ones, and some of them end up with clips blocked and others get the same clip through fine. I just do not understand why some people seem to get away with it and others get hammered on nearly everything. You would think that the channels with big viewing counts would get hit the most as they have the most traffic, but it always seems to be the smaller channels that get hit worse. As for this video, not gonna tell you what flapjacks are or what James said, as plenty of people have already said, but I have to say as funny as James is, your struggling with the English language is what had me laughing the loudest. I normally hate when people say words wrong, but when you do it you know it's gone wrong and your reactions are priceless (I was gonna say cute, but don't wanna come across as Internet Perv #1 ha ha)

That is terribly sad news about Taskmaster and QI being blocked. I've seen other reactors upload those shows so I assumed they would be fine, but youtube works in mysterious ways I gather.
In terms of blocked videos, unlikely you'd get taskmaster they are strict. You might be able to do compilations. Otherwise wilty and 8 out of 10 cats does countdown might be safer bets to get videos out
I'm not telling you in anyway how to suck eggs but I've noticed many reactors have great ways of getting vids uploading with stuff like Muting sounds a couple of times for a few seconds or writing stuff like This is here for Copywrite. This is why you need Patreon my lovely looool. Btw I love James, he is underrated.

@@MandyCaneLane probably lots of food colouring used in bake-off, this was actually an episode with celebrities, raising money for charity, but this show has been going on for years and there are very good cooks participating making breathtaking pies, deserts, ... often with very inventive colouring involved to make figurines. though i get it, james' result was kind of very plain, just trying to make some 'water' like figure, with the seasalt and blue colouring i guess.

Just knowing that you watch, and enjoy, Taskmaster and Q.I. Is good enough for me. In a similar vein, Bob Mortimer has a brilliant fishing show with Paul Whitehouse (Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing) which is worth a watch, if you get the chance; for your own entertainment if nothing else. They have a UA-cam channel so, in theory, you should be able to watch excerpts.

You'll find a lot of the stuff that gets requested will be on there too (Useful source of cult British shows). UA-camrs upload the blocked stuff there and then upload a video here with a link in the description. Because the video you upload here has no copyright material needed, you can put anything in it and they could even be ad eligible I guess. Patreon isn't too bad for making some extra pocket money but it will limit that content to less than 1% of your audience. It ends up being a bit of a trade-off between channel growth and short term profit as less freely available content means less channel views, which means less paying Patrons overall. You might want to think about doing timed exclusivity for Patreon with the big shows and then releasing them to DM later. That gives people a reason to pay and continues to draw in more viewers with the heavy-hitter shows that you can't put on UA-cam.

In the US, a flapjack is a less common way of saying "pancake"; in the UK, it's a chewy, sweet granola bar.

You would think that the channels with big viewing counts would get hit the most as they have the most traffic, but it always seems to be the smaller channels that get hit worse.
As for this video, not gonna tell you what flapjacks are or what James said, as plenty of people have already said, but I have to say as funny as James is, your struggling with the English language is what had me laughing the loudest. I normally hate when people say words wrong, but when you do it you know it's gone wrong and your reactions are priceless (I was gonna say cute, but don't wanna come across as Internet Perv #1 ha ha)

In terms of blocked videos, unlikely you'd get taskmaster they are strict. You might be able to do compilations. Otherwise wilty and 8 out of 10 cats does countdown might be safer bets to get videos out
I'm not telling you in anyway how to suck eggs but I've noticed many reactors have great ways of getting vids uploading with stuff like Muting sounds a couple of times for a few seconds or writing stuff like This is here for Copywrite.

@@MandyCaneLane probably lots of food colouring used in bake-off, this was actually an episode with celebrities, raising money for charity, but this show has been going on for years and there are very good cooks participating making breathtaking pies, deserts, ... often with very inventive colouring involved to make figurines.
though i get it, james' result was kind of very plain, just trying to make some 'water' like figure, with the seasalt and blue colouring i guess.

Trying again since my last reply was blocked... DM is like UA-cam but badly designed and with less strict copyright enforcement. You'll find a lot of the stuff that gets requested will be on there too (Useful source of cult British shows).
UA-camrs upload the blocked stuff there and then upload a video here with a link in the description. Because the video you upload here has no copyright material needed, you can put anything in it and they could even be ad eligible I guess.
Patreon isn't too bad for making some extra pocket money but it will limit that content to less than 1% of your audience.
It ends up being a bit of a trade-off between channel growth and short term profit as less freely available content means less channel views, which means less paying Patrons overall. You might want to think about doing timed exclusivity for Patreon with the big shows and then releasing them to DM later. That gives people a reason to pay and continues to draw in more viewers with the heavy-hitter shows that you can't put on UA-cam.

That rylan the guy with the make up he’s a presenter and has been on big brother uk(🤔i think he won) and before that where people first saw him was on British x factor in 2012.
It’s probably just me who was bothered by this but like what was the need to point out rylans makeup like he genuinely want even wearing that ridiculous of an amount and to state “I’m just saying he would look better without it” like he’s not wearing it for her so why does it matter he wanted to wear it so he did I just know if some person said to her oh you would look better without make up she would probably wonder why the hell they care bc she’s just wearing it for fun
Fair enough, but to me the type of makeup he is wearing is to 'hide insecurities' not 'for fun', and he doesn't need it. If it were full eye glam or something 'for fun' I would have probably loved it.
