Man... objectively my favorite FF song and it was hard to see someone else playing it but Travis really did well, he didnt overplay at all (not that that is a bad thing but at something like this its best to keep it in pocket)...
Travis B is cool, but not the right feel, as far as I’ve seen he has one mode only (I may becwring) and I doubt that Grohl wants a Kardashian-level scene around a band member
Though the same when I watched the livestream from wembely. Barker has such a signature style with a lot of ray playing but it's cool how he really pays respect to Taylor and plays it just like the original parts. Very professional drummer
It’s because he’s a good musician over all. He has his signature style of playing that made him famous and if you ask him to play drums on your song he will do his thing (like in Blink, MGK, Avril Lavigne, Willow…). But here he’s playing a Foo Fighters song, he’s paying homage to his fallen friend, he knows what to do and how to do it. He’s great.
with all respect, first try to play fast and furious like he does, and NOT loosing one damn fucking beat, with fills and breaks where you can hear every note he is playing clean and smooth...without an inch of pushing or dragging...THEN, maybe you can talk of not having groove...maybe
@@marcofabbri969 Yeah it's easy for losers to sit online and complain. The music barker plays(With blink etc) doesen't call for much groove, it's supposed to be fast and driving. Barker is a great drummer.
He is fast and steady. Fast metronome. Just try comparing 'walk' studio and live version. Or pretender. Its normal because he is still young. Dave is aging. Best of them both are glued on stage, despite the tempo.
