I really like the product. It’s too bad that they discontinued this. This was effective in removing my light makeup. I would also use this as a first cleanse, then I will follow with their cleansing foam or gel (whichever I feel using for that day). I hope La Mer would bring back their cleansing oil or come up with a cleansing balm product. UPDATE: It's back!!!!! They repacked the product. Would love a re-review of this again!
I just found this review after I bought this cleanser. I’ve figured out a way to use it as a makeup remover and it’s been working great! I apply it to a dry face, gently rub it in (including over my eyes and mascara’d eyelashes). Then I wet a microfiber cloth in my sink and lightly sweep it over my face. I have white cloths, so I see it removing all my makeup. And the best part is that my skin is clean and hydrated at the same time. :) Don’t give up! You might just need a different application or removal. :)
I have only sampled it once so I unfortunately can't give an opinion on it! I would try and sample it. It really just depends on skin type and what you prefer. I wish I could be more help to you.
@@MorganTalksbeauty I ask because I have and love the Sisley cleanser and just ordered the la mer. The cleansing lotion should be fine as a second cleanse in a double cleanse though right?
Kinda disappointing. It’s almost like La Mer slapped a label on a lotion and decided to call it a cleanser. If it can’t break down makeup then it’s not very effective and won’t break down dirt and oils on your face. I’m so glad I saw this video. I love La Mer, but this is one product I won’t buy. Thanks for the honest review.
The La Mer cleansing lotion is now my go-to.

Así lo uso yo o con un tisú y va fenomenal 👌🏻
Elemis has a fantastic cleansing balm that also removes makeup/mascara. I bought this cleanser though because I rarely wear makeup anyway🤣
Love your energy ❤️ from Malaysia
Morgan, have you reviewed the Cleansing Oil?
I have not yet!
Do you think this cleanser works to simply clean the skin? I do not wear make up and my skin is on the dry side.
Thank you so much for your detailed review! I'm just figuring out what should I buy from La Mer and I came across your channel. Keep going!😁💪🏻
How would you compare this to the Sisley white lily cleansing milk?

I was not a fan of this product, but I found it worked best as the fist step in a double cleanse.
It’s for using instead of cleansing oil or micellaire water.. in the 1st step of double cleanse. Have u tried the La mer cleansing oil ?
I have not tried their oil. I did not like this lotion for a double cleane step either.
@@MorganTalksbeauty ok. I think oil should be more effective...
@@natashanatasha649 I agree 🙂
I got it before watching your video 😭 How do u think if I let it works as a lotion 😭 ?
@@MorganTalksbeauty thank you for your advice and review :">
im honestly shook
I have this, I have to wash my face 4 times to remove my sunblock…not the best for eye makeup. Fancl cleansing oil still the best..
Yes, not my favorite cleanser. I have never trie La Mer's cleansing oil.
@@MorganTalksbeauty Not la mer, try fancl cleansing oil, my favorite. Won’t let you down.
@@sarinal9488 awesome! Thanks for the recommendation!

Haha it DOES remove make-up (except for waterproof macara). You just need to wipe it off not wash it off! It's like a cleansing milk.
Thanks for the tip!
This cleanser is for dumb and rich. Or for someone who never wears sunblock or makeup with dry skin.
