Uapb came out of no where with this intensity I can appreciate this for the rest of the season but Grambling This What I Been waiting on this should be a interesting bayou classic! Not to mention them Tubas cutting up at 11:42! Not to take away from Uapb because they sound improved tremendously but I’m loving world fame right now! Gsu most def put in sum work! I’m giving gram the dub! Both had they ups and downs but Grambling has a more cohesive sound! Oan I love the sweet lady arrangement but it got to be cleaned up a lot!
What kinda annoys me is that slowed down version of Sweet Lady wasn’t executed to well. I loved that arrangement and the whole entire vibe it gave was mysterious and romantic which is present in a lot of noir themes of jazz. I felt that GSU had the best sound and overall identity to pick up tunes of that form of jazz tbh. Really hope you guys play that in the future!
I admit this is the best they've sounded so far this season... but they still got a ton of work they need to do. Trumpets need GALLONS and GALLONS of milk...They build up to a strong point, and then quickly die out. True story… try stuffing a wash rag, or a sock in the bell of your horn…. Then play out as much as you can. A mute obviously works as well. Also try sticking the bell of your horn against a wall… play out. Try this every day… all day. See results within 2-3 weeks. smh Love Train is still trash. I noticed you guys changed the F Horn part back to how we originally played it. There’s many power opportunities in that arrangement. The band just needs to tone up, and take them… I applaud the effort. The band actually was engaged throughout an entire battle. I hope this is the beginning toward working up to where we rightfully should be as in terms of ranking… and not just a one time showing against the powerhouse we all know as Grambling… 🙄
It was a cool battle uapb improve a lot since alcorn but still getting there..gram seem to got stronger as the year progressed jus clean some things up..that Tyrese joint need a lil more tweaking and work then it will be a banger..world fame vs ocean and human jukebox gon be 🔥🔥🔥
Who took Ms. Maroney’s spot since she stop being over Orchesis??? Something tells me the band director has them wearing these ponytails, one game was good enough! I just hope they don’t come to New Orleans with them in their head! ODC was drastically improving over these years but now this year they are back stepping and clocking down! WHERE IS ESSENCE? The top spot should be hers since she is still in school! And whyyy did they wear this uniform to march in with AND during halftime? They wore one uniform the entire game THIS game AND last week against Alcorn which I understood because it was rain in the forecast but one uniform for homecoming is unacceptable! Please get it together ODC
