Being from L.R attending UAPB homecomings growing up but attended the UofA for undergrad. This experience was EVERYTHING! It was so many black folks who attended the UofA excited to see UAPB bcuz we know that’s our roots ever tho we didn’t attend Da Yard. This event brought the state together in so many ways. It’s was a beautiful time!
Why does color matter ??? Oh that’s right it’s ok to have all black schools it’s called pride but if there was an all white school it’s called racism, I call BS on unity and equality
@@docholiday5037 I think you miss the whole point but do your home work so you know why they were called black college's. And you can't call BS on history. And to my knowledge being a product of HBCU parents, you are free to attend any school you choose, not an option they had. The names of HBCU are historical with open doors to anyone I challenge to visit either one and you will be welcomed with open arms.
@@docholiday5037 bro it's not an all black school it's a historically black college university (HBCU) meaning that in the past this institution was the only means for young African Americans to get their education because they were not allowed in schools with whites. Now a days it is just predominantly black and accepts admissions to all races.
@@docholiday5037 booo this man. there’s a reason there are historically black colleges dumbass. maybe you should read a book about it! hope you make it out of the chamber pal.
@@tunneltime8885 I understand why there WAS black colleges but I just we should stay the same while crying for equality , I think Morgan freedom said it best , there shouldn’t be any group on any color anymore if you want to be equal stop having separate groups. I probably wouldn’t have said one word but when dude brought up race it was over with me, ppl are sick of it , stop seeing color so you be one and looked at equally but you keep all your black tv channels, colleges , all black college fund and you will always be in box by yourself
1 of the BEST hbcu bands in the country and should be recognized as such. So much hard work go into these performances. Salute to these young Kings & Queens.
I love this. Much love from Texas Southern. I'm watching thinking UAPB gets more love from the outside crowd than it gets from The SWAC. We need to love and validate our own.
Thank you SO much for that magnificent performance! M4 is an absolute joy to watch. The obvious joy & energy belie the equally obvious countless hours of work put in by these amazing young people. Please extend our thanks to them for a show that was enjoyed from our souls down to our tapping toes. Oh, and additional kudos to the video team, who captured the live enthusiasm with cinematic expertise, so those of us who couldn't be there in person could experience the event as well!
I'm sorry I'm soooo late to the comments.. I'm M4 too ('93-'98)... but right before they shortened it from THE MARCHING MUSICAL MACHINE OF THE MID-SOUTH. Maaaan y'all killed that, way to represent & make an ol'head proud 👏🏼 🥲 🥰 ✌️ 💛 🖤💛🖤💛🖤!
Lemme first say as a AAMU alum and lover of all things band, this was an amazing show to watch. UAPB stay bringin the heat even when i was in school in 04'. And hats off to the film crew, cuz this was a true movie. Hats off to both bands playing great. By far one of the best field shows ive seen in a hot min. Keep up the great work!
this was a really cool moment. wish i could’ve made it this year. first LR game i haven’t made it to in a long time, and it just had to be not only a win, but historically significant as well..
Very nice performance UAPB. You all played a variety of good songs and I enjoyed your dance number. However the dance team needs a little training. They're performance wasn't as polished but it's nothing that a little training can't take care of. This is 2024 now and I will checking you guys out to see how far you've come. Good job.
UAPB is by far the best marching band in the state. I've been fortunate to see them for nearly a decade. They are the absolute best.
The most entertaining band in colleges for the State of Arkansas! Go UAPB!!!

Represent M4!
It funny how everyone want to discuss Black people white people. When this thread should be about the music 🎶 ...how both bands sound playing together
