In every artist there will always be that feeling where you wish you could draw in another person's style but in reality they wish they could draw in your style and it will never end
I wonder if it's consider normal to amazing at drawing manga if you're japanese. Like it's common or it's like in any country and there are people who can't draw at all ?
I think being a manga artist is definitely more common over there than it is in other countries, but I'm pretty sure there is the whole spectrum of people who can't draw at all to professional animators, etc.

As stated in there, I believe its called "Osaka Animation College" its in Japan. Its a college mainly for anime/manga artists. Although if you are planning to go make sure you're fluent in Japanese. I also saw an Italian girl learned Japanese and attend to one of these.
I took manga class in my college (I'm in an art major), but I didn't get the chance to use copic markers.. They're so expensive.. ;-; So, we just went with black and white manga comic..
I don't know what that pen is for sure but I know other brands like the Faber Castell PITT artist pen big brush in black may be just as good. Some of the local comic book artist in my town use those for fillers.

uuugh i gotta REALLY! start drawing on my wacom tablet again. im already really good on my 2DS (colors!3D drawing software) and on paper. im just still kinda confused with the tools. like im now just finding out what the stabilizer does on firealpaca. i can seriously see a friend of mine going there for college though. shes so excellent with drawing manga characters ♥
i really want to go hear when i become older. this is the most amazing thing ive ever seen! right now i only basically can draw chibi. but when i think i can or will be able to draw good at both manga and chibi i will find my way to my dreamland.:) at college of animation !

Don't just draw "manga" art. While drawing manga learn how to draw from the start and learn the fundamentals of drawing itself. Learn how to draw human anatomy and body/face structure and how to basically draw itself. Learn many styles and not just manga itself! Learn how to draw realistically so you can know what you're exagerating in manga drawing and how to draw the bodies and stuff. Basically, my advice is: While learning manga learn how to draw realisticly and learn things such as perspective too for backgrounds and learn dimensions.
I've looked at various artists on dA, they all started somewhere. They were once beginners and also they drew bad. At some points, they felt like giving up but they stood strong. Even if they were late bloomers. Its true, I started drawing in September when I was almost 10. Other great artists were barely 9. I soon started to work hard, eventually surpassing them(not to be full of myself) Now that I'll be turning 10 this year, I'll be doing a collab manga and my own. Wish you all the best. REMEMBER, Practice makes perfect!
sorry but you cannot become a manga artist if you're not born in japan, to become an average low paid manga artist you have to know their lifestyle and history, good at drawing manga doesn't mean you can be a mangaka. sorry, but your dream is impossibe.
CN Ji Young Thats not true. There are many manga artists out there who are not from Japan. Some even make mangas and sell them. This dream is NOT impossible. I started out reading some books on drawing(Mark Crilley "Mastering Manga") and doing the tutorial, but then I got better and started buying more advanced books which covers alot of antonomy(antonomy is hard so I advise playing around with heads and watever before going advanced). Now I can draw freely on my own, though it doesn't hurt to have some reference :) Ideas don't just pop up out of no where. Your dream IS possible. I assure you. @linsey anime sort of, there is SCAD which has a manga course. Not sure if they have an anime course but, they do have an animation program and such.
