The thing about drawing with technology is the fact that it's not just purely based on one's individual talents. Being able to fully utilize the program's capabilities will make unimaginable works. Next time just simply get to know the program and play around. The more knowledge and experience, the more intricate and vibrant works you'll end up creating
+Nikkikittyx What i usually do ( that is a bit cheaper ) Is just use an iPad or nook and use a phone stylus on it, wacom makes a really nice stylus that I got on sale for 15 dollars ( original price was 35 ) Of course theres still the traditional *guess pad*
+Nikkikittyx honestly i doesn't really make much of a difference. while it's nice looking at what your drawing. if you suck at drawing on a pad tablet (not saying you do) you will still suck at drawing on a screen tablet. put your faith in yourself not your tools.
Phray01 But that depends on people, some artists ( like myself ) Prefer to do a sort of almost lazy drawing where the sketch of a circle for example is easily made on paper and all that its ridiculously hard to do a circle on a un seeable pad. Its just preference.
You can try using an iPad. An iPad pro is also too expensive, but maybe you can try getting an old model of an iPad air if you want a tablet that you can easily carry. iPad Air's are more expensive than regular iPads, so if you want a cheap, small drawing tablet, try an iPad or even a Galaxy Note if you want something super cheap, plus the Note is really good for drawing. Get a cheap app and pen stylus. Just a suggestion.
To anyone who wants to know her brush settings: she's using a brush with minimal size set to 0. So it gives her more control and a more "pencil" feel. She's also keeping the brush size small.
That's what makes anime so cool. It takes so long since it is all originally hand drawn then edited together to make it all move smoothly. if you look at anime like bleach or Lovely complex you can tell that it was hand done from the way the movement chops up a bit and has this natural feel to it. Computer animation like Spongebob(now all computer animated) looks different. the movements are smooth and the coloring is solid.

Everyone saying they need to look at their screen when using their tab and this is much better. Pity me please, I don't even have a graphics tablet XD Welp, all my saving will be worth it (if I get enough)
I think the art was amazing, but it really bothered me that the girls left arm is a lot thinner than her right. Just by looking at the forearms you can tell they are very different in thickness
guys this speedpaiting/drawing is nice n all and this tablet sure is amazing, I got a cintiq myself though in a smaller size. But that being said, the tablet wont turn you into a badass artist magically. The people who do these speedpainting still invested thousands of hours developing their skills. These guys could draw with white gel pen in their own blood and it still would look quite good. Skill matters, not the medium.
+Phray01 Really? Once you get used to it, its actually pretty easy, took me a year to get used to looking at my hand then the screen then another year to get my hand to stay still, so it doesn't ruin the drawing and another year to figure out how to use the stabilizer right. So its been 3 years now, and I'm still learning eheh.

Depends on your style and preference. Though I also think Sai is much easier to handle than PS, and it has way crisper line correction ideal for lineart- PS can do way more than Sai could ever hope to achieve. Especially with painting. I prefer PS for this reason, and if you have a trained hand the lineart shouldn't bother you that much. Then again I know a lot of people that do their lineart in Sai and transfer over to PS for painting and adjustments.
IT'S AWESOME!!!!! but i have to ask,you can draw with this pen,but if you lean a hand on the screen, will it make blur? i mean, can we draw with hands? or just with pen, cause i can't draw without leaning a hand on paper or desk
There is probably a function where you can change from touch to pen so that you can use your hands or your pen without messing it up and can switch between the two :)
I became this at Christmas last year this is sooooo expensive but so practical and easier! I had this normal small tablet and it was easy but with this is drawing a lot more better.

euh trust me it's not . on paper you have the paper texturing that tend to help you pen to get a balance . on a tablet , you draw on "plastic" , it took a me several month to finally get something with it ^^ . so no it's definitly harder work on a tablet . right now , i'm still unable to draw directly on tablet , i have to make my sketch on paper first , and i use a tablet since 4 years now (not a cintiq, i use a casual one , wich need a computer monitor ^^ )
Just don't give up! I saved for mine for 3 years (had some financical issues among the family members and had to give in the money to solve the issues each time I was half way there) and I finally got a Cintiq 24HD!
It depends on how patient you are and on how much time you actually spend drawing. If you're drawing for 2 years but only once in a while, you're probably not going to see improvements all too fast. Sai is much easier. just switched recently and the lines are smoother and cleaner while in PS is kinda slow and messy

They are too simple drawings that do not exploit the potential of the cintiq.
