Good luck to you. We are also a team of adventure-loving dreamers who rushed from Vladivostok to fulfill our long-time dream - to buy a yacht! And now we are already going home on it.

Having said that we have the greatest respect for Lauren’s dedication, abilities, efforts and artful vlogging. Kudos and may her cruising years be far ranging, exciting and fulfilling.
Well done Lauren; you’re doing a wonderful job there. It’s great that you have such confidence in the yard and their level of attention to detail/safety… Enjoy your time away .
Impressive! I own and live aboard a 43' Columbia sloop and has the boat in drydock doing the exact same thing but I had 3 of us scraping, prepping and painting the haul, it's not easy work. I really admire this woman and her sailing abilities and how well she mountains her boat👍. It's a beautiful boat. Stay safe out there, happy sailing😊⛵
Always impressed with the care you put into the boat. Not because you're a woman. But because it's such a big boat. My daughter enjoys watching too :-)
Your work ethic is so great to see for such a young woman. You are definitely not afraid of hard work and keep your boat in tip top shape. Kudos to you, Lauren!
I agree with comments so much. I think some of it has to do with your parents guidance. But we all know, horses and water……..! My parents have tried to create a solid life for me as well. But I think it comes down to……..you. You made the choice to take certain influences and become awesome. And that is what I tip my hat to, with complete chivalry.

You are a BOSS! My OCD really appreciated the sanding portion of the video. I've done the bottom of my C25 at least 5 times and I'm soooo done with it. I'm sure I have at least 1 or 2 bottom jobs on a 40ft catamaran in my future but I don't want to think about it now. Great video and great work!!! Thanks again for sharing.

I was strangely looking forward to this video! 😄 Like I said last time: let's get black and happy sanding! Great job and great video. That's how the Pro's do it. It may be hard but you secretly love this shit! You can't hide it 😉. Have a great break and again thanks for sharing. 🌷
Lauren, hi from Alberta, Canada great channel really enjoy the Bahamian waters you choose to sail. You seem to have the special ability to find the clearest and shallowest waters around. Kudos to you regarding your work ethic and knowledge of your boat. I cant think of any other sailing channel where the owner prepares their boat solo for season ending storage. That hull maintenance alone was extremely impressive not to mention all of the other areas requiring attention prior to storage. Looking forward to seeing you back out on the water after your well earned break.
Laren sanded one day. I sanded our 32“ boat for four weeks at about 5 hours per day. Ok, but I am an old man….. But, respect, Lauren is awesome! I wish, i could get her: the job as daughter in law is vacant at our family.
@peterclaas, She sanded the boat iot prepare it for anti foul paint. If you sanded your boat for four weeks her hull is now thin like a piece of paper lol
Nice work but remember for next time (as strange as it may sound): after sanding, FIRST apply one layer of Primocon BEFORE applying your filler on keel and hull. THEN a few more Primocon layers. Finally your antifouling. Keep up the good work!
I am also a Kiwi 14 metre boat owner, I also swear I am not sanding again! but every year.. thankfully I do get satisfaction for a job well done, even if it lasts only a month or two! I also think you are an amazing woman and think your attitude to life is beyond your years.
Yep I agree with the other gentleman, you are one hard working young lady. Your parents are proud of their daughter at what. You have accomplished. All your hard work will pay off one day on what's next in your life. Roman's 8:28
Ms Lauren , you wondered how good your dust mask is / it looks like the ones I have and are made by a company called North - they're really good as long as you have a snug fit to your face . After a full day of finishing sanding of plaster ( at clients homes ) I usually have to wash my eyeballs ! and have been using a sterile eye wash made by Optrex which works really ( well for me ) 1 or 2 rinses with that and I'm good to go . I can honestly say I don't envy you having to sand the hull , all that black dust , wow 🙀 / 😸
Great to see how you simply get stuck in and get the job done. Many a crew take way longer with more people to get the job done. You on the other hand just get into it. Huge kudos.
I was wondering why you don’t use copper coat since it’s a 10 yr redo? I know it’s expensive, but man you’ve got a lot of muscle work every other year. I love your channel enjoy your time off the boat. 😊❤️❤️❤️
Hi Lauren always an inspiration watching you how you cope with the mundane chores of sailing. You would put many guys to shame how you graft away at antifouling the hull. I am down in Turkey at a big marina in Fethye. Meet lots of American sailors here on vacation. Have a lovely break and do rest up. 🏴🐠🌴⛵❤
The history off the winged keel was the secret that the Aussies designed which ultimately won the America's Cup on September 26, 1983, with their boat Australia II. The U.S. losing skipper was Dennis Connor. Australia won the best of 7 races 4 to 3. I guess this is now standard on sailing yachts, and I see Lauren's yacht has it.
