I'm Ken Clark, 67 retired electrician. I watch UA-cam religiously due to living on a farm. So, I live thru you and others. Mostly people doing things, I love and the bucket list that didn't get full. For this, I thank you. Hope you journeys are all wonderful and SAFE. ABSOLUTELY love your freckles. Ken
Awesome, intrepid and beautiful, it's fantastic to see a young lady so confident at the helm solo sailing, and at the same time happy to roll up your sleeves and dive into the maintenance. You rock Lauren. Fair winds.
Hi Lauren, Just wanted to say you are such an inspiration. For over a decade I have been watching sailing vlogs dreaming of leaving the corporate life behind and hopping on a sailboat. Your channel really resonates with me as I’m sort of a loner and find thought of short handed sailing very intoxicating. I’m trying to make 2025 the year this happens. You don’t know how many people you have influenced over the years to people to live their dreams. I signed up for the workshop and I’m so excited for the future. I wish you nothing but continued success!
Hey Ms. Lauren, it’s obvious that as much freedom & fun afforded you on your boat that life still has its challenges. Love you’re able to live your dream!! Live it long, good & hard!!
What an amazing woman you are Lauren. Absolutely tenacious spirit to take on the travels you do. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. Love the videos. Give our buddy Mako some extra tuna, he is such a trooper. Keep the wind to your back and the sun shining on your face. Thank you.
I’m guessing it gives you quite a lift when you see dolphins swimming along with you for how ever long they decide to stop by and say Hi. Good that you were able to break the journey and spend some time with friends. Well done Lauren and thank you for having us along with you and Meko.
Airfryers get very hot and that's why the manufacturers recommend at least a few inches clearance all round. You haven't the space, so I'd strongly recommend you line the bay with stick-on heat reflection foil. Also check that you haven't blocked the air intakes and hot air exits. You don't want a fire!
yes, i have this same oven in my kitchen and its 1/2" away from the cabinet on the 1 side. it got the wood hot enough to discolor it. be careful. these need an airspace all the way around.
Hi Lauren, thank you also for providing the great content that you share with us. I find it amazing that you single hand almost everything and even when you have your boat on the hard. I really enjoy your content, and you are very pretty as a bonus to viewers that enjoy beauty. You always show the work as well as the pleasure, that keeps it interesting ! Stay safe and I will see you in your next one. 😊
Lauren, You Rock Girl! I found you channel about 1 month ago and I want to say how inspirational you are to me! I'm just getting started on putting together a circumnavigation of are beautiful world & just want to say Thank you for all your time & hard work you have put into making your most chill video's. I really enjoy & appreciate them. Thanks Timbo😊
Love that you make such a great effort to post your videos. Even when you are down and not feeling well you still pull it off. Keep it real and live your best life. Cheers!
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS NEVER MISS THEM, LOOKS FORWARD TO THE VIDEO, WHEN I SEE U ON YOUR SAIL BOAT I THINK BACK TO MY PEOPLE WHO LEFT IRELAND AND ENGLAND, SAIL TO NORTH AMERICA AND MAKING A NEW LIFE IN A NEW WORLD
Lauren, I find your at sail videos so relaxing. It’s great to go along with you on your adventures and see all the hard work that goes into maintaining your boat. The ocean scenery and the accompanying music along with your narrative and especially your furry first mate is so great to watch. I look forward to all your videos each week.
Lauren, hello! This is my first time to say hi! I love everything about your videos, and I think you're just an amazing lady. You're an inspiration for a lot of young people, and that helps change the world for the better. I admire you, and I think your fearless attitude and pure determination are remarkable. Stay safe out there. I know Jesus is watching over you!
Thank you for sharing all your videos and I love the fact that you do everything by yourself or at least try to! Hope this doesn’t sound bad by saying this but your calm voice when watching your UA-cam videos it really does help me sleep. 😊 it’s just so relaxing and never punctual like some other UA-camrs. Please keep up the hard work and be safe out there!
The air fryer is an absolute game changer, specially now with the extra solar power! The sailing was incredibly beautiful, you have a way to capture such real moments during the sail that brings peace. And I can't tell who was more excited to see each other, you or the dolphins 😂I can't wait to see that sticky notes cleaned off that wall! Absolute great video 💙
hey lauren been watching your channel for a while now and thought it was about time i added a comment what can i say but keep on rockin young lady your an inspiration and your drive and enthusiasm is amazing your doing the work of several men and what you have been up against recently those guys would be running home to there mummas crying so please keep strong and do what you love ......KEEP CHASING THAT HORIZON i will be as always watching on your adventures YOU ROCK GIRL !
144 ep...... I've watched your journey. cant say I'm not a little ENVIOUS. I'm 47 this year and I've always loved the ocean. i do fear it and respect it. i was already looking to get a sail boat of my own but I'm far from doing that. but it will be in my future some time. Nice to have a dream as you are doing and shearing your moments through the good and the hard but keep it up. its a calling. when i do eventually get mine, i hope you will be still doing what you doing and maybe hope you could teach me the basics and fundamentals. but repair i can do all my own that wount be a problem. Till then enjoy and sail free...
Hi Lauren, happy to see you back in St. Martin, one of your favourite, all the comments wow! Always positive and complimentary, so you are doing great. Every body seem to enjoy your content and your projects. Watching a young lady ( beautiful) clean & paint your hull by yourself is Absolutely Amazing! You and Mako are both great Team & all your followers love Mako, we always ask & look for him ❤️ Best wishes with your future projects, your hatches, will watch for you to be back to us soon! Love your boat, I’m jealous 😊 🇨🇦 Cdn. Dave 🇨🇦
Only thing better than one of your sailings episodes would be being there in person . I miss those days thanks for sharing your amazing life with us. ☮️out
Hey you do what makes you happy🎉🎉 it comes through in the creativity and you have better eps. Anybody that watches you to see you struggle isn't the kind of people you want to cater to🎉❤🎉
Great episode Lauren!! Great music too! Holy cheeseballs you're amazing, and we are learning so much from you, so a very big thank you! Raff is a Legend, it's so great how he's always helping you, too. We are thinking about the three day sail to St Maarten to get the mast fixed, and it'd be one of our first big sails, which we're nervous about, but you made it look easy. It was a much needed confidence booster! Be careful out there and keep being absolutely amazing! -Pete
How could you NOT be good at wood work ??? You’re good at everything young lady, you just need to dive into it like you do with everything ! Love that about you, always impresses me 🎅🏽❤️
Back into it again Lauren, wow 3 days and nights of sailing, travelling through the night with no headlights, relying on gps auto pilot and a few alerts and alarms. Did something similar on motorbikes with mates, at night ride up behind them with no lights on, they wondering where you got to then turn your lights on screaming at them, nearly fall off their bike. Flexi solar panels sound and look good, my moto is add more panels.
You really are amazing, especially with all your boat building and repair work and yard work...OMG!!! Incredible. We have had our lil IP35 25 yrs and I know how hard that boat yard work is....we now, being old geezers, just write checks or pay cash now ...easier for us .. congrats Lauren
You have 'guts" young lady, those no moonlit nights on the ocean must be creepy alone?! Experience helps, but a sailor alone can be really vulnerable alone, but I applaud your knowledge and love of the sea. Thanks for the beautiful screenshots of the Bahama reefs, they make a lovely background for my Zoom meetings. Be safe, it's nice to see someone so young following her dreams!😎💜🙏
Lauren you are so amazingly adventurous and strong. I'm just now 62 and 2 yrs ago I thought I might get a 2 bedroom 2 bath 50 ft Carver motor yacht And it fell thru and now just two years later I feel what you do is so much work that at your age it's all worth it. Ye I'll admit you are stronger than this 62 yr old man. But maybe it's more work and more money to run a motor yacht and going to sailing might be something I could do but nah I know it would be a lifestyle of work mixed with pleasure. How much of your time is pleasure and just seeing the sights and eating at local joints etc. I would hope for at least 75% play and 25% work but tell me honestly what is your ratio? Thanks and Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 And Many Happy Years for you are surely to come. Kids, grandkids, how will it all fall in place? I hope you keep us tuned in!🎉
That looks like more fun than people think I would love to get away from the land right now and put my mind at ease your so lucky to get away from here I wish I could land is really starting to suck theses days it looks so peaceful out there wish I had a boat to take alot of time away from land as possible thank you for some what from taking me away from this place can't wait till your next one god bless safe trip to you and your family 😢👑
It's nice to see the happy face of the captain's most beautiful girl in the new transition. Thanks for the video!!! My new meeting with you really lifted my spirits. According to tradition, hello to the first assistant!)))
Ohh please girl, you knew you wanted to stop in Dominica from the time you pulled off the dock in Grenada!! Lol....welcome back in D/a Hope all is going well with the boat for you in st. Martin.
You know we are coming up on the Thanksgiving Holiday here in the USA. I want to thank you for sharing so much of your journey/life with us. I don't know where you are in your present location, but I hope your folks are around to share the holiday with you. That was a damn sexy blue boat next to you in the marina. Love you. Stay safe. ❤🙏
Saint martin is an amazing place. To me it's one of those places that if you have been missing land for long time St. Martin has all the modern day areas that has just about anything you need.
Hey Lauren. I can still hear that main furler banging around in the mast. Could you wrap or tuck rags or a t-shirt around the furler on the top and bottom to prevent it from moving around? You can use a spatula to tuck it in there or use a wire to go around the furler and then pull the rag through. Might give you a little peace and quit. Also, I was thinking you could rig up an old main sail. Tie a line around the mast to the eyes for the sliders. I know it won’t go all the way down past the spreaders, but you could use the spinaker haylard to wrap around the sail and mast to strap it down. Then a few sail ties on the boom. Just an idea. I hope your projects are going well in Saint Martin . We are all very proud of you.
Two questions: 1. What did you do to enhance your audio? It is so much better, so clear. 2. Do you ever fish while on long journeys like this one? I would think you be able to catch dinner.
Another fantastic video Lauren! The music was great but felt a little different - maybe more laid-back feel to it. I couldn’t help but wonder if it was representative of your mindset for this trip. You seemed squarely in the middle of your comfort zone. Seemed like Captain Lauren - force of nature meets cool as a cucumber capable young woman.

So happy when I saw you on Sailing Vagabond's channel.
Saint martin is an amazing place. To me it's one of those places that if you have been missing land for long time St. Martin has all the modern day areas that has just about anything you need.
Lauren, if you need more energy, install a Rutland 914i Wind Generator, or another one!!! Look it up, this is what you need. xx
I have a 400w wind generator🙌🏼
So happy she is back in the water😍
Love your channel, you really are living your dreams.
Heya, love to see you sail again. maintaince has to be done, but sailing and adventures is the most fun part of it
really enjoy the hard work and go with the flow attitude
You are awesome!! Just subscribed and can't wait to see what adventures are ahead for you.
Thanks for the share Lauren. Have a happy Thanksgiving.
I wish you more comfort - in life,
and on the boat :). Marvelous :)...
Happy to come help at anytime 😎
Your an inspiration ✨️
Two questions:
1. What did you do to enhance your audio? It is so much better, so clear.
2. Do you ever fish while on long journeys like this one? I would think you be able to catch dinner.
You amaze me lauren!!
You two take care , safe passage to your next stop Lauren ✌🏼
Wonderful episode Lauren! Don’t listen to the detractors, the sound is great and of course Mako is awesome as usual!
Good luck All the best of sailing
Wrap with F4 tape and Scotch coat all connectors in marine environment . Or civ self adhesive electrical tape .
Looks beautiful.
Weird that I was unsubbed to you, youtube doing something weird. Love the videos, jealous of the life!
Great episode. Cheers!
I appreciate your courage a lot a lot to go (alone) like that’s inspired me ,, wooooooooow ..
I love the X-mas decor
lol 😂 u need to de clutter that vessel! It would drive me cuckoo! 😜
I dont know what Lauren did but the audio is so clean. Cant tell if its an audio filter, a mic upgrade, ai or dub, its as if she is in a voice recording booth. Might run into the problem of being too clean but thats a good problem to have. Very nicely done
you have inspired me to try my own sailing channel about sailing in Toronto. But winter up here now. Keep warm.
🌴🌴🌴 You really impress me by how you know so many things about so many things. Sail on and be safe and healthy wherever you go and whatever you do.
Blessings,Carlos ✝️🙏❤️😊🇺🇸
I haven't watched your videos for a spell. New microphone is a major improvement!
Thanks for the video! Happy Thanksgiving
Nice audio quality but its unnatural for an outdoor environment. The ambience puts us in the space with you. great steps forward Lauren!!💯👍
Good to see you sailing again ! What is going on with your mast ? I can hear it banging and you’re still crippled sailing !
Hi, and happy thanksgiving !!!!!💕😜
