This video was amazing. I loved all the human interaction with the beautiful people from all over the world. Looks like a real paradise! Its as if people can actually live happily amongst each other. Thanks for the experience!
I sailed into Cairns 39 years ago and I could remember the sail up the channel and the headlands. Thanks for the memory. I liked Cairns a lot but LOVED Port Douglas, which was a really sleepy little town back then. We were there a couple of months. How cool was this!!
Oh my gosh I worked on a prawn boat out of Cairns way back in 1990. It was a gas we went up around Cape Torres fished the gulf of Carpentaria then around passed Darin. I was young and traveling, made some money and memories. Memories that this episode is doing a good job of stirring up. Thank you!
I can't count the number of sailing channels that have done Cairns, but nobody did Cairns like you did... What a place. It has classed up its act, from when I was there in 1984... And absolutely no one ever had a submarine, escort them in... Absofukkinglutely sensational... Nice job......
Cairns is highly rated by the Japanese. The gondola, aquarium & train are great parts of the town. Streets are safe when I stayed in winter at the Coral. Plenty of aboriginal near are hostel. Some even went to the park opposite to sleep. Ship departs to Papua new Guinea great trip put months to book. Pool is so great for recovering from Botanical walk Nice story. Amazing Sailing skills
At first I had no idea where you were going, I just heard Cannes , the barrier reef helped me to geo locate but when you revealed how cosmopolitan Cairns not Canne was on your inner child BMX ride around town it was awesome. Thanks for the visuals and insights oh nomads of the seas❤🎉!
My compliments to Dan the man, sailor and chef extraordinaire. Happy birthday Gordon! It's always a pleasure to check in with Teiga. I love it when y'all get to spend time together. Enjoy Captain!
Wow, what an interesting and informative video, especially for me who live in the arctic cold north in Scandinavia :) 🏂❄☃ Have a nice summer time folks!!!! :) ☀🌞😎⛵
I now live in the USA, but, my home town is Cairns. I have not been there for over 15 years and by the look of it, it has changed a lot since I lived in the area. Visit the Babinda boulders just south of Cairns or the Mossman Gorge north of Cairns. The road to Mossman goes along the coast and is an amazing ride. I plan to be on the water next year after I recover from shoulder replacement surgery.
That is so cool! Never heard of public electric grills before. They wouldn't last 5 minutes to vandals here in SoCal. Even the public beach fire boxes have to be cleared of garbage, homeless' clothing and dirty needles before they can be used ... 😵💫☹😭
Heinz baked beans are the absolute best! My mum is a Brit and we used to only be able to get them at a very expensive British store in Newburyport, Ma. Now I can get them in the supermarket! Crazy awesome!
Lol Eric will manage to get that cat onto a lean 😉. Lots of heavy hitters in that odyssey. I'm sure you'll have a blast if you go. Why didn't your automatic bilge pump keep up with the rainwater?
Here is a little trick for ya cruiser out there :) who like sour cream get a bag of powdered milk it stores well and can be milk orrr sour cream by just adding lemon or lime juice I use 1/4 cup water 3 tbls powdered milk and the juice from 1/2 a lemon to make sour cream for my cheese cakes works awesome
Caught a freshwater croc in a river in madagascar, stewed it with spinach like leaves. Village feast circa 1996. Was a fishy bstrd! So fishy wasnt worth more than one serving. Yours looks beter

Indeed, good watch.

Thanks again for your hard work
Cutting gator up into small bites, brading it, deep frying it, and serving with a strawberry chutney dip is amazing.
This reminds me backpacking days of 99, nice BBQ!
Was that a clip of the Aussie Olympic Breakdancer?? If she’s on the boat, I’m gone!!! lol

Get a spray can of ether starting fluid spray it into a rag and cover the intake as you start the motor and it will start right up
Brompton bicycles are highly recommended for practical transport. I love mine and took it to many countries.

Wow that place looks swanky 😀🎉
We ear Gator tail and ribs regularly. Tail meat is best-Pounded, breaded and fried.
I’m not a sailor. I’m a long distance hiker and I see some similarities in the two things… but anyway, I always enjoy your videos. Safe travels ❤
Never been that close to a submarine before… that you know of!
Yummy looking birthday dinner, sorry to hear the red bastard is still giving you trouble
🙏🏻...
"Never been as close to a submarine before..." THAT YOU KNOW.
I think that was me laying on the wall
Nah, nah, nah, we do prawns on the barbie. 🙂 I don't eat roo, because it gives me gas and you'd be better to be up wind.
That's a load of croc

Heinz? Heinz?? You better introduce Dan to B&M...
Can Dan please post his Nashville marinade recipe
Shrimp? Prawn ! Alligator? Crocodile! That’s Australian.

Eating the kangaroo she should have said, Ooo, it's not a nice kick!
Cairns looks like a less pretentious Waikiki with fewer vagrants. 🤙
That’s right, “It’s Google meat!!
🤟⚓❤️😎
Will a diesel mechanic watching this video please help her get her engine in great working order? Please.
That lamb is so cheap. I live in alaska and that rack of lamb goes for almost 50 usd
Ahh, to be 26 again…
Kangaroo should be served rare
