I remember being in a traffic jam, and Heard man listening to this on his radio the song, we both put up radios and air drumsticks and Woman to my left tapped her horn, and all three of us went together on the air drums. Was cool and fun.
This is an amazing liver performance...the build up exquisite...the intensity in his vocals mesmerising...and when he drops that drum fill...well another level...great reaction Sarah than you x
Hi! Phil Collins is an English drummer, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. Phil Collins Have scored three Uk and seven Us number-one singles. Thanks Sarah! For your reaction to Phil Collins. One of the greatest singer and songwriter ever! 🙂
This is NOT genre. It's just utter PURE TALENT! The 1980's in the UK was a music era that will NEVER be replicated. So much talent and every band wanting to be the best and blow each other off the stage. Music since then has become limp. Check out THE POLICE, IT BITES, PETER GABRIEL, GO WEST. There was a village near London where all of the session musicians lived. I was proud and honoured to be amongst, without doubt, the best musicians ever!
Another member of rock and roll royalty, and another incredible performance! Thank you Sarah. 😁👍 Another monster performance was Phil Collins and Chester Thompson performing "Take Me Home", the DRUM CAMERA version! Talk about synchronization, holy cow, that was an AWESOME set!!!! 🥁😁🎸🤩🌹🔥
the most watched rock video of all time - most iconic drum drop in rock & roll - his repeat of the word "life' 20+ times near the end of the song is breath control of the highest degree - & all while playing the drums!!!! MAGNIFICENT!!!!!! give me chills every time I hear it!!!!!!! 41 years ago it was released & it still sound FRESH!!!!!!! Just listen to the crown clapping - adding a beat to it before the drums kick in!!!! DROP THE MIC!!!!!
This song has the most recognizable drum breaks in all of music. You don’t even have to know who Phil Collins is to know this one. If you’ve seen the Hangover Mike Tyson sings it and knocks out one of the cast as the drum break hits.
Phil always brings it. Emotion, suspense, and he keeps taking it up and up and up. As someone once said of this performance: "it is like what sex should be"
@@SarahDengler he retired after his last Genesis tour. His back is gone and walks with canes. Broke my heart watching Phil's condition but great memories.
I’m thankful I saw him once too (Wind & Wuthering Tour). I never would have guessed how his career would skyrocket like it did. I remember thinking “ wow, he covers Peter’s songs nicely. “
I don't know if you've ever listened to any Slipknot, but they're a hardcore band. I forget which album it was on but there are two songs called Vermillion part one in Vermillion part 2. Vermillion part 1 is harder, but Vermillion part 2 is so beautiful and sad. I really think you should check them out. Both songs. 😊
in my opinion what makes this performance so epic is he took himself back the period when he first wrote the song....when he was in the middle of a very contentious divorce...the intensity in his drumming seems to be an outlet to let it go
It's very rare for me to enjoy the live more than the recorded track a few like Freddy Mercury Billie Eilish 21 Piolets. I had never heard or seen the live and I have to say the live is 1000% better than the recorded track.
ONE thing I have to say: It's so impressive or important when a solo singer's got A VOICE, that is always remarkable: you hear a song that you don't know - but you recognize the voice - this only voice! Maybe: Elvis Preley, maybe Frank Sinatra, maybe this stupid goat Mick Jagger, maybe the tiger Tom Jones, maybe Frank Zappa, maybe Lemmy Kilmister A N D Phil Collins! You RECOGNIZE them and they are nearly family...
Hi!! Can I please suggest that you do some Foo Fighters? You have soooo many songs to choose from. And they’re all good. Lol. The Pretender, These Days, All My Life, Times Like These, Walk, any of their Live at Wembley performances, My Hero (and then do My Hero where the drummers son played in for him after he died last year), too many to name.
He wrote this song about catching his wife cheating on him with another man. Listen to the song again in that context and it will make sense. Phil Collins considers himself a drummer first and a singer second. He's amazing! This is real music!
Phil's live performance is so melodramatic and staged that he looks too pretentious. There's nothing natural about the way he performs. The studio version is much better
Sarah...great SCREEN SIZE for the audience to enjoy the VISUAL IMPACT ( so many use a postage size screen ) Enjoyed my visit.💕🙋🌹🇺🇸✌️
Me too! Great format, Sarah! Thanks
I remember being in a traffic jam, and Heard man listening to this on his radio the song, we both put up radios and air drumsticks and Woman to my left tapped her horn, and all three of us went together on the air drums. Was cool and fun.
Every time I hear those drums breaking, I get chills all over my body! This is my ASMR!
This is an amazing liver performance...the build up exquisite...the intensity in his vocals mesmerising...and when he drops that drum fill...well another level...great reaction Sarah than you x
Extremely memorable performance ✨️ thank you for watching 😊
I have seen and heard this song so many times I lost count. But I still get chills and forget where I am! Great reaction. Stay safe.👋
ICONIC... ❤

Vibes …for sure ..everyone’s a fan of this masterpiece 🔥😎
This song was about Phil's marriage coming to an end. A very simple but very deep and haunting song. Thumbs up and blessings to you. 🌹
This is Fleetwood Mac levels of lyrical vengeance 😂

Great reaction to a great proformance!
Phil always brings it. Emotion, suspense, and he keeps taking it up and up and up. As someone once said of this performance: "it is like what sex should be"
To think that Phil will never take the stage again. Thankfully I saw Genesis 4 times in the 70s.
Why not?😥
@@SarahDengler he retired after his last Genesis tour. His back is gone and walks with canes. Broke my heart watching Phil's condition but great memories.

Two songs from Phil Collins you have to check out are " I don't care anymore". And " Against all odds". You'll love them!!
Those drums!❤❤❤
True syory.
The most anticipated drum fill in history.
Phil conseguiu retirar de um drama pessoal essa obra prima. Meu profundo respeito a esse grande homem. 🙏🇧🇷
This man is a legend Sarah, please follow up on him

More Phil Collins......please!
Sarah you're cool👍
This was an experience to say the least…..

I will, thank you 😊
I was about to say, you've never heard this song?! If so, you've been missing out!
I belive I know a couple of his songs 🙂
Mega ❤❤❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
Nice reaction
Very "in the moment" reaction video, Sarah, I liked it a lot, new subscriber here! Thanks!
They knew what the people were wanting, and they milked for all it was worth! Perfection!!

The lad did good
We can see a classic scene with this song, in the first episode of TV show "Miami Vice", (in 1984)
Its a Masterpice!!! Try to react to "Separate Lives " from the same Concert (The first farewell Tour 2004 in Paris)
It's very rare for me to enjoy the live more than the recorded track a few like Freddy Mercury Billie Eilish 21 Piolets. I had never heard or seen the live and I have to say the live is 1000% better than the recorded track.
Paris /2004/ 20,000 fans attended inside

What was that brilliant advert we had with that song here in England years ago? Can anybody remember?
Cadbury's - Gorilla.
listen to Lucky man by Emerson lake and Palmer.
You are not so bad your self!
Please do "Everybody Hurts" R.E.M
God has put his seal of approval on this song only because the rapture is coming and we will meet Jesus in the air!!! Are you rapture ready??? 🌈🕊️🆙🕊️🌈
Phil wrote this song in I believe it was 1978 while going through the divorce of his first wife who was cheating on him.
He wrote this song about catching his wife cheating on him with another man. Listen to the song again in that context and it will make sense. Phil Collins considers himself a drummer first and a singer second. He's amazing! This is real music!
Why you people continue to put yourselves in the large caption as opposed to making the music video large is beyond me.
he was going thru a divorce.....this was his answer
Phil's live performance is so melodramatic and staged that he looks too pretentious. There's nothing natural about the way he performs. The studio version is much better
It’s the most spot on perfect live performance ever. 🤷♀️❤️🫶🇬🇧🤷♀️❤️🫶🇬🇧🇬🇧
