Thank you sooo much!! Gonna try this starting tonight! I love microgreens on sandwiches and I pack them almost every day but pregrown greens are a little pricey at the store.. so excited to have 10x the amount for the cost of 1 seed packet ♡

This video is a most practical of growth microgreens so far I have seen. With lockdown in UK I have decided try my hands with microgreens . Three days ago I planted Chia seeds in a plastic tray it's 1cm tall now will continue have them cover for another a day or two.
Thank you for sharing I will keep some plastic trays from food packaging from now on.

Hi can i grow them in may June month in delhi. It is extremely hot here. Before seeing this video i tried mustards and fenugreek in soil outdoors but before it was ready to be harvested mustards stopped growing n turned yellow and died. While methis never sprouted. Is it because of the extreme weather. Also can i keep in a shaddy spot in the balcony? Not direct sunlight yet the temperature is extreme due to delhi loo. Or it will be better indoors. It is bright indoors but no direct sunlight.please suggest.thanks

    • @upscalehealth

      That’s not fungus
It’s cilia hair let it grow and see if it’s a clip hair or fungus
If it’s just cilia hair after some days it will disappear if fungus then seeds will stop growing and die

Thank you for the lovely video. It's a nice idea that you say you're not using soil, so there are no pesticides. Just pointing out that if you use commercial paper towels as "soil", there are bleaches and other potentially toxic chemicals that may be drawn into the sprouts.

Expanded Clay. Expanded clay is a popular grow medium. ...
Peat Moss. Peat moss is a relatively inert organic grow medium. ...
      Coco Coir.
      Gravel
      Rockpool
      Sand.
      Perlite.
      Vermiculite.
These are some of the hydroponic growth medium can be used u can also use 100 percent organic tissue paper too
Which do not any any chemicals or bleaching agents.
      Thanks 😊
      Good luck

I cover and weight the seeds. In nature seed push up through the earth. Mimic that and you will get stronger more sturdy stems. When I sprout peas, sunflower and corn I add heavy weight. It's amazing to watch the little plants raise the weight as rhe grow.

Once you take out the microgreens out of the dark space and put them out for photosynthesis by a window, do you keep the bottom of the container submerged in water? Inquiring because I have tried this a few times and each time I take them out of the dark space and put them out for sunlight, they basically die the next day even after I continue to spray them twice a day.

Omg thank you for this video. But I have a question. I've been trying to grow microgreens since the past 2 weeks as a part of research for my sem project. Although mung microgreens grew well on wet tissues within a week, i’ve been struggling with chickpeas. I don’t have these boxes. I used a colander lined with tissues and I had covered the mung beans with a dark towel for the initial couple days, which kept it dark and moist as needed, it sprouted well. Post the 2 days, I used a lighter moist towel to keep them covered. From there, they grew well. However, with the chickpeas, I've kept them in a similar setup of moist tissues but used a lighter moist towel since day 1. A lot of light streams in through the lighter towel. They're sprouting and growing very slowly and in fact, 1 batch got spoilt. Also, the tissues keep going dry overnight. Could you please help me out in understanding what's going wrong with the chickpeas? Is too much light in the initial days the reason for it to not work?

    • @upscalehealth
      @upscalehealth  4 роки тому +1

Try placing the chickpeas lined with tissue in the dark cabinet as I did and after 3 days you have to place in sunshine ☀️
