Yes that’s what you get for watching Ayreon, it will lead you to so many rabbit holes. Hansi is a great singer and Blind Guardian is a great band. Btw in this video you saw Joost van den Broek. He is the keyboard player you saw in Ayreon, and he helps Blind Guardian with their production as he also does for EPICA and Ayreon and Star One and other bands and also played and produced previously for After Forever and Revamp, which you know were Floors bands. Finally Blind Guardian 🤩🤩🤩. You will be blown away completly listening to "The Bard's Song and Valhalla" Wacken live 2016. The HYMN of Metal. Or to "Mirror Mirror" official live. A song so damn good that Tolkien wrote some books about it. 😂
The entire Nightfall on Middle Earth album is a masterpiece!
These guys go back to the 80's, another rabbit hole to dive into. One of the popular choices for reactors is "The Bard's Song / Valhalla" live from Wacken. But I'll throw in my own original suggestion, "Somewhere Far Beyond", from Clisson (Hellfest) 2022. It show shows how great Hansi's voice still is at 56, singing a song 30 years old, exactly as it sounds on the album.

So happy to see you guys exploring this band. Hansi is one of the best metal vocalist in the business. Defiantly keep going with these guys and check out their live material in particular. I'm not going to tell you what to listen too or where to start because it's your channel. I enjoy seeing you guys daily and always happy to you happy🤪 But that said, If you like this german band, perhaps you might enjoy some of Rammstein's live performances as well. But just a though. Fun Fact: Hansi is also the studio base of the band. He used to be that live, too, but is now represented by a guest musician.
The band's style has changed over the years. It starts with Speed Metal, then mixes in Trash and then gets more and more bombastic. Today they are more prog.
Blind Guardian are amazing. I love this song and Neil Gaiman's book, it is based on, is pretty good too. Hansi's voice is so recognisable and powerful.
I really only know Hansi from his collaboration with Ayreon and the live video’s of The Bard Song and Valhalla. The energy between them and the audience allways give chills, it really is so amazing. You should, you won’t be disappointed. Hansi founded Blind Guardian about 40 years ago.
Fun fact Johan van Stratum is their new bass player since 2021. You know him as the bass player in Ayreon.
Johan is also Marcela Bovio’s ex husband.
I discovered Hansi through Ayreon too. Now I'm also a big Blind Guardian fan too. Ayreon still has my heart, but these guy's are epic as well in their own way.

This is from Blind Guardians new album "The God Machine." Arjen Lucassen said Hansi's vocals were so powerful it like he was roaring from the top of a mountain. A lot of Blind Guardians songs are mostly inspired by the fiction of fantasy authors such as J. R. R. Tolkien, Michael Moorcock, Stephen King, George R. R. Martin and Robert Jordan, as well as traditional legends and epics. Another band with a deep and wonderful rabbit hole. If interested, "Deliver Us From Evil" is about the Salem witch trials. Blind Guardian are incredible! Definitely jump into that rabbit hole. This song is a good fit for the Areyon feel, but they have a lot of other styles too.

Not the strongest song in the latest album, Violent Shadows or Blood of the Elves would have been even better. Do take a look at the Wacken video, even if it gets blocked often. You're just starting, so it should be OK. If you really want to go deep into the Blind Guardian rabbit hole, look up And Then There Was Silence.

Blood of the Elves is the best from the new album.
The Guardians are from my hometown, I love them. Valhalla is my fav. song. The Bards Song is just beautiful.
