Hello, beautiful people! I've missed you guys!! Even if luxury beauty is not your thing I hope you guys will enjoy this video. Also, as I was linking everything I realized those YSL lipsticks are now $38 instead of $37. BUT WHY THO?? 😩 Aaaaaanywho, GRWM/tag video creating this look will be coming your way on Tuesday! 💜
Indeed. Foundation sometimes I understand because it covers your entire face all day. But eyeshadow and mascara? There are SO many good options at an affordable price nowadays.
I bought a 6€ lipbalm last month and my mom got mad at me for spending 6€ on a lipbalm so imagine if I spend 45$ on a luxury lipbalm... 😂😂 she’d probably cut off my head. Pretty expensive products, to be honest, i would not buy them. I won’t put my head at risk hahaha
Lol! Understandable! My mom also is super budget conscious and would have never let me buy half the stuff I own now if I was younger and still living at home.
This type of video is incredibly helpful. Another girl and I were going to do this as a video idea. I’m just not at a place where I can randomly experiment with luxury makeup so navigating what is and what isn’t worth the money is very important to me! Absolutely agree on the Oribe, too... I honestly just don’t get the hype. The Bum Bum cream... ah. Divine. I don’t qualify for Octoly or anything and I saw that fancy lip gloss on so many people saying how much they love it. But I’m simply NOT forking over $60 for a lip balm. 😭 Thanks to your video, the FOMO is reduced. 🤪
LOL glad to help! Yeah, there are just too many good lip care products in the $15-$30 price range to ever justify spending double that amount. I would love to see your take on this topic and hear about what you have in your collection!
I don't mind a facial skincare product that works if it lasts for months. My Estee Lauder serum lasts about a year and it's around $100. I wish companies would stop with the fragrance in facial skincare. There's a products I've only seen at Walgreens that has a sharp citrus scent (and I usually don't mind citrus scents). The smell prevented me from using the products more than once. Thank goodness they were samples. Great video, Lauren. Thanks. Blessings!
I agree! It's one thing if the ingredients have a natural scent to them, but added fragrance has no benefit to your skin (and if anything will just work against whatever is doing good in the product). And I think your logic with expensive skincare is really sound! I know the PTR I mentioned I've had for a while and they're still going strong. They also have a 24 month shelf life, which is great if I'm alternating with other skincare and not going to use them up as quickly. If I'm going to purchase something super expensive and want it to last it needs to not expire in a short time frame!
This was a fun video....I’ve heard a lot of people talk about the LM foundation. It seems to always get favorable reviews and comments. There are so many foundations coming out right now, as a consumer I’m confused on which one to try. 💚💙💚💙💚💙💚
I totally get that. There are SO many new foundations launching it’s overwhelming. I would definitely recommend getting a couple of samples from Sephora if there are any you’re most intrigued by and start there! The LM is great, but it’s expensive. Right now I’m testing the new Flesh Beauty liquid foundation, so I’ll keep you guys posted on how I like it!
Late to the game watching this, the most expensive skincare I have is ole henrikson I just think there's so many things drugstore very good!great video.😊

Expensive skincare makes more sense than expensive makeup

I bust out the bum bum cream when I'm feeling fancy lol!
Lol it’s definitely the boujee-ist lotion I own too 😂

I love the Elemis Marine cream so much i got a 2nd subscription of boxyluxe just to get another jar of it. I love it so much!!
That's so awesome!! I'm so glad it worked so well for you 😊

Agreed. Sometimes the high end skincare is worth the splurge, but most of the time I think the affordable alternatives do the trick!
I fell in love with the iconic London eyebrow compact too. And I feel the same way.
I'm glad I'm not alone! I'm both simultaneously so happy I found something that works so well and also so sad that it has to cost so dang much 😩
