Peter Thomas Roth New! Peptide 21 Lift and Firm Moisturizer Review

  • Peter Thomas Roth recently introduced a new line called Peptide 21. The Peter Thomas Roth Peptide 21 Line includes three new products; a serum, a moisturizer, and peel pads. Out of all three new products, the Lift and Firm Moisturizer is the one you should purchase for several reasons. The Peptide 21 Lift & Firm Moisturizer is fragrance free and does not contain denatured alcohols. If you have sensitive Skin the Peptide 21 Lift & Firm Moisturizer shouldn't cause any issues with sensitivity.
    I am really liking the Peptide 21 Lift & Firm Moisturizer. I loved that I was able to add this into my skincare routine very easily without any issues. This product plays nicely with the other products in my skincare routine and doesn't pill. This contains several beneficial ingredients and peptides. If you are looking for a good way to add peptides into your skincare routine this is a nice and easy way to do so. Those with dry skin might find that this moisturizer is all they need, and those with drier skin (like myself) will probably want to layer this under a thicker moisturizer in the evening. The Peptide 21 Lift & Firm Moisturizer is a little expensive, but the bottle size is 3.4 ounces which is double what normal moisturizers contain. The price is a little deceiving.
    Peter Thomas Roth Peptide 21 Lift & Firm Moisturizer Full Ingredient List: Water/Aqua/Eau, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Olive Oil Decylesters, Glycereth-26, Squalane, Butylene Glycol, Behenyl Alcohol, Polysilicone-11, Batyl Alcohol, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Hexapeptide-11, Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, Tripeptide-10 Citrulline, Acetyl Hexapeptide-1, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-11, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-9, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2, Acetyl Octapeptide-3, Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-19, Trifluoroacetyl Tripeptide-2, Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Potassium Hydrolyzed Polygamma-Glutamate, Sodium Polyglutamate, Squalene, Mica (Ci 77019), Sodium Hyaluronate, Sorbic Acid, Tocopherol, Cereus Grandiflorus (Cactus) Flower Extract, Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Magnesium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Trehalose, Glyceryl Stearate, Silanetriol Trehalose Ether, Mannitol, Phytosterols, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate, Polysorbate 20, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, Laureth-12, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Lecithin, Disodium Phosphate, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Carbomer, Dextran, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Lactate, Tetradecyl Aminobutyroylvalylaminobutyric Urea Trifluoroacetate, Sodium Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, Triethanolamine, Acrylates Copolymer.

    As always, I totally agree about skipping the other two items. I do really like the items I've tried from this brand, and this is something that interests me because I'm looking for a more affordable peptide treatment . My only concern is the large amount of dimethicone. I know it helps seal in moisture and is beneficial, but I have a multi step routine and would prefer to use it near the beginning because of the thinner texture and quick absorbtion, but then other serums won't penetrate as well. I might try it in the morning as my main moisturizer, before SPF and primer. 😁

    Interesting! I've been using the peel pads and the serum but not the Peptide 21 moisturizer. I'm 100% new to these kinds of treatment products, and while I cannot disagree with the concerns you listed about the other Peptide 21 products, I can report that my skin (after 2 weeks - ish) is showing marked improvement. I'm over 65, with dry skin, and (joy of all joys) occasional breakouts. Maybe I just needed a good exfoliation. I'll continue using what I purchased, and hopefully can shop for replacements with better info. Thanks for your clear, informative reviews.

      Well if it isn't broke don't fix it, right! So nice to hear you're having good results, Exfoliation makes such a huge difference in skin tone and texture. I noticed a huge difference once I started using exfoliators regularly. 👍👍😉😉

    I know this is super late but did you ever try the eye cream of this? I just got it and have t seen almost anything about it I think it may be somewhat new or just maybe not good 😝 I like the fact that the peptides are closer to the begining of ingredients list but realized there’s some kind of weird tanning peptide in it 🤷‍♀️

    The serum contains a total of 73% in peptides , so I don’t think the water/glycerin content is that much, although on top on the ingredient list...

      They're having a sale where you can get this moisturizer and a newer peptide 21 eye cream (both full size) for 48 bucks. On top of that, this moisturizer is gonna be discontinued soon so if you're ever gonna try it I'd suggest getting it before the 16th of this month

      This is a hard question.... 🤔🤔 I REALLY like the Protini. I find the Protini to be a little more hydrating than the Peptide 21 Moisturizer. I also find the Protini works great to mix my retinol or vitamin c cream with. I also like the Protini's gel-cream texture more than the Peptide 21.
      If you already know you like the Protini I would re-purchase that, and wait for deluxe samples of the Peptide 21 and try it then.
      I'll definitely finish the Peptide 21 bottle, but if I had to choose between the two I would pick the Protini.
      I'll have to do a versus...

    Hey also- rosewater is completely non-irritating and great for dry sensitive skin. It naturally contains antioxidants and is a humectant. If you google the benefits you can find out more, but it’s actually made from crushed rose petals not an “oil” and water or something -- not sure why you think it’s bad for your skin, it’s not! Combined with glycerin it’s a great thing to spritz on your face especially before / makeup

    • @sabr4174
      @sabr4174 5 років тому

      She says it's bad because of the fragrant component of rosewater. If you check out Dr. Dray, she talks more about it and I think she also sites studies done in dermatology journals. Edit: here's a little bit of where she talks about rosewater and the skin ua-cam.com/video/rqS1T8sSVWs/v-deo.html

    Hi. Thank you for making this. I just started using Retinol and was wondering if it's safe to use in combo with the peptides or too much? Can you please please make a video of how to safely use products in the correct order? I am super confused on how or when to use the retinol, serums-vitamin C, hyaluronic, peptides, salicylic acids, and AHA. Keep up the great reviews!

    • @NOBSBeauty
      @NOBSBeauty  4 роки тому +2

      I do need to do something on this- it can be overwhelming trying to remember what to use and when to use it. You can definitely use the PTR Peptide 21 after retinol. I would use retinol and any AHA's/BHA's (salicylic acid) on alternating evenings. Vitamin c, hyaluronic acid serums, peptide products can all be used in every routine. The biggest things to be cautious with, and alternate, are the retinols and aha's/bha's.
