Hey Jeff make a video of cable cross ovesr with out having the cable machine but using resistance band because I'm someone who work out at home and I don't go to the gym because I can be a very busy man but I still want to hit each part of the chest only using resistance bands
@athleanx Hi Jeff, how are you? I hope you're well. Listen, I have a doubt, when I started training at the beginning of this year to increase my muscle mass (and I still do it today) not until I thought about something that I had never done before until today. And it's all about the diet data. How often should I update it to achieve optimal muscle growth or only update the data when I'm going to do definition? Oh, and that leads me to another question (2x1🤑) How often do I do hypertrophy and how often do I do definition each year? if the goal is muscle growth specifically speaking. I hope that in your next video you talk about it and help me and everyone who wants to achieve their goals in a faster and more effective way. Thank you for taking the time to read this commentary, I hope to receive a response from you. Greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽
It’s good to know I had most of this right but that lean forward and push back made a world of a difference. Took it all out of my shoulders and put the focus on my chest.
The lean forward and back squeeze etc etc, does that apply to the height and all of them? So If I want to do up by head, hip or middle then I can follow all the steps?
This dude is so freakin intelligent. Like everything he puts out is gold and if more people followed how to train properly their gains would soar. Thanks Jeff! I’m 3 years strong following you and using your programs!
This video helps out tremendously. My work weightroom upgraded to having cable machines and I was excited, but didn't know how to use them as well as I should and I felt I wasn't getting the gains I wanted compared to other exercises. This makes me want to try cables again.
Jeff has provided me in my later years in life what I wish I would have know when I was 20. I haven’t had a pump on crossovers like this, ever. Thanks for the support @athleanx. You’ve changed my life.
I didn’t realize how badly I needed this video. I’ve been doing it like a goober for a while and getting a huge pump in my biceps and shoulders that prevents me from really working my chest.
Hey Jeff, just finished a solid set of crossovers after seeing this video. Thanks a lot. Just joined gym and always had problems feeling my chest on cable crossovers & straining shoulders instead. Well not anymore tho 😎
Thanks for this video. I keep getting a bunch of diferent info on this excercise so I never know how to actually do it ( cable at shoulder height, above head, back straight, lean forward, etc ). Im very happy to so someone explaining all the details so I can finally figure out how to actually do it correctly and why.
Valuable info! I use this exercise (I believe I’m doing it right) and will adjust my stance according to your instruction if I notice any discrepancies..
Man, just came out of nowhere. I always struggled with chest and it always a game of luck whether I hit the chest correctly or just have done my chest without actually feeling them as much as the previous chest day and then I feel bit of a shoulder soreness. Thank you. 😎
Great video. I appreciate the lessons on this. This was huge for me. Just goes to show no matter how long you’ve been lifting, you should always keep that student mentality. This explains the pains I’ve had in my shoulders over time.
This was awesome. Thanks so much. I having been doing some of it right and some not. Now I know. I’m looking forward to getting it right this coming chest day!
You've described how I've been doing my crossovers. Brilliant chest exercise, one of my go to exercises. One step forward is all you need. I do see people stand way forward, I mean they get a good stretch, but won't do the shoulders too good. Good exercise to target the pectoralis majors.
The different heights also accentuate development of another muscle: the serratus anterior, broken into three (more or less) segments. The muscle has ten "fingers." Working the lower pec, starting higher, also stimulates the pec minor, as both upper serratus and pec minor pull the scap forward and down from different attachment points.
Jeff, I did all this correctly thanks to you teaching me years ago. Follow the fiber and full range of motion. Can you show exercises with TRX or gym rings that target the chest muscles just like a cable crossover? Thanks in advance.
This is one of my favourite chest exercises; and I'm pleased to say I pretty much follow everything you say here although I'm a bit guilty of leaning further forward in at the maximum abduction / top of rep - usually when I get to the last couple reps just cos I'm flaking!!! Overall though I'm happy with my form and this really is a great exercise, so versatile as you really can hit the whole of the chest just by slightly varying the height. Great video!!!
