Thank you so much for this tutorial! I was taught using the cable needle and it was so hard for me! This really simplifies the process and makes it so much easier!
I'm trying to do the 11th square (tunisian cable square) for the traveling afghan. I am on round 6 and watching the video but Im having trouble understanding the language in the written pattern and what the video is showing. It says work the next 10 stitches as 2x5 sts as tunisian cables. The video says to skip 3 stitches but then Im lost as to what the 2x5 means. I know it means a total of 10 . I understand you use two hooks but what does the 5 stitches mean. Please help!
This video is demonstrating a 2x3 Tunisian cable, whereas the pattern is 2x5. So instead of skipping 3 stitches, skip 5. I’m on this square too. Actually I’ve skipped this one and completed square 12&13, and I’m doing three Afghans! I’ve found this square challenging and working my way through it. Hope this helps some.
Was this video helpful? ❤️ What will you use this stitch for? 😉

Thanks, Nicki, it's really clear, succinct and to the point.
Wow, this is amazing so awesome, we can still crochet and make it look like knit cables. Love this.
Thanks so much. Glad you like it
thank you for new way of crochet tunisian cable
I'm definitely going to try this! I have done ordinary crochet cables but never Tunisian ones.
Thanks. Yes they are different but so easy and fun to crochet
great tutorial
So glad you liked it
❤❤❤❤❤❤ love this one
This is very helpful but i wonder if it would work the same for a pattern that wants to twist the loops on a return instead of a forward.
Nice! I wonder how it would look with Tunisian purl stitches on either side. Would the cable stand out more?
Yes very likely. Just didn’t want to over complicate the tutorial. Try it and report back 😀

I'm so confused....you say 8 to 10 stitches but when you finished the first row i counted 11 stitches on your hook.
